When an American tourist is murdered with a scone in Gemma Rose’s quaint Oxfordshire tearoom, she suddenly finds herself apron-deep in a mystery involving long-buried secrets from Oxford’s past.Armed with her insider knowledge of the University and with the help of four nosy old ladies from the village (not to mention a cheeky little tabby cat named Muesli), Gemma sets out to solve the … mystery–all while dealing with her matchmaking mother and the return of her old college love, Devlin O’Connor, now a dashing CID detective.
But with the body count rising and her business going bust, can Gemma find the killer before things turn to custard?

This is a very good cozy mystery.
I just know if I showed up at the tea room I would know everyone as they walked in the room. So much fun to read! I’veread them all so far!
Kept my interest from beginning to end.
Good cozy.
Thoroughly entertaining. A great whodunit with bits of humor and interesting tidbits about Oxford.
Part of a fun, light hearted series. Enjoyed every one I’ve read.
I loved reading this book and also loved the recipes

A fun read for lovers of Miss Marple – with a modern twist. A fun read! I’ll definitely read the series.
Pretty good book. I did not see the end coming, but was not turning the pages with excitement. Well written and funny.
When I discovered H. Y. HANNA, I proceeded to read all of her books that I could find. I enjoyed all of them very much.
Great beach read.
A cute story but nothing to in-depth. Just okay.
Loved the setting, the characters, the different language, the different way of life, and the tongue-in-cheek humor. Great mystery without being too gory or weird!
Hope there will be lots more similar reads at such a reasonable price!!!!
A fun read that didn’t give away the ending.
the only thing I did not like was the way she referred to the older women as “old biddies” this is not a friendly term.
This was cute. Ok read.
