The third book in the A Marsden Romance series this is Lady Gemma Kemsley and Liam Marsden the son of Pieretta and Thor. So far this is my favorite in this series. I would recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Gemma is Lily’s best friend so she wrote to her when her father dies because she was afraid of her cousin Alfie. Lily wrote to her father to ask him for help so he sent for his son Liam stating that he had two options either marry her or kidnap her and take her to South Carolina. Liam goes over to Gemma’s house to find her cousin Alfie attacking her and he says I hope your not doing what o think you are to my fiancee and Alfie laughs and tells Liam to leave but he shows him the marriage contract and he takes Gemma and Liam and Gemma are married within the hour but she thinks he doesn’t love her and he thinks he doesn’t love her until other people show them their mistakes and kidnap them on a shop to South Carolina so they have time to talk and they do.

It is so marvelous! I loved the back and forth between this couple. It was was awesome. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This is a sweet story of the fulfilling of unrequited love. Our heroine, Lady Gemma Kemsley, use to be a wallflower. But when her father passed away, she had to grow a spine of steel. Her father’s estate was inherited by her cousin Alfie. Alfie has lecherous intentions towards Gemma. She was constantly trying to fend him off. She wrote to her best friend, Lily, for help. Lily wrote to her father, Viscount Torrington, to see if there was anything, he could do to extradite Gemma away from Alfie. The Viscount indeed had a plan. But it would require his son, Lord Liam Marsden, to help. The danger was just beginning. Liam and Gemma’s life are about to be turned upside down and confusion, fear and denial would reign supreme for a while. This is a darling little story. Another good story in the “Marsden” series! I love the drama and romance in this story but not so much some of the terminology or wording. I really liked Gemma and Liam. Very interesting twists and turns in this story. It’s an entertaining story that was not as good as the others in this series but still enjoyable.
Victim Of Love
Book #3 in the Marsden Romance Series. Adult Scenes.
Lady Gemma’s cousin, Alfie, has inherited her late parent’s estate, since she has no brother, and only males can inherit in the Regency Period in England. Alfie has already nearly bankrupted the estate with his gambling and high living.
Now he thinks he can have her, too! Egad! She can’t even marry without his approval, since he’s the heir.
Gemma decides to run away to America and live with her friend, but her friend’s brother, Liam, butts in. The two were once betrothed, and Liam finds he still wants her. He uses the old betrothal papers to marry her, taking it out of Alfie’s hands.

Love the Cover!
Great unique characters, storyline and you will be at the edge of your seat so engrossed in the twist that was both interesting and well thought out.
This is a good read. Gemma finds herself in a terrible position and realizes she must take drastic action. She is feisty and very likable. Liam is pressed into helping her but quickly realizes he wants much more. With a shared past history, drama and lots of deep emotions, their relationship pulls you in and has you rooting for these two all the way.
Liam finds his Gem!
In this third book of the series, Liam’s matched with Gemma in a romance that examines the advantages and disadvantages of arranged marriages. Liam and Gemma are both a bit headstrong, but they do eventually find their way.
This is another fun foray into the world of the fictional Marsden family. These standalone romances are bright and creative, and very enjoyable to read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Lady Gemma father dies which leaves her cousin Alfie the estate and he is ruthless so she ask her friend for help but her friend ask her brother Liam to help Gemma. Liam had his heart broken years earlier when he proposed to Gemma only to be turned down but now he offers to marry her to help her out. Will she accept his proposal and will they admit they love each other?

I liked the book it was fast pace with great interaction between the characters, but my arc copy had some problems with words not meeting the time frame of the story. There are events in the story that may cause some problems for some people. I loved Gemma the character was so cute Liam was strong at first, but not so much at the end. This one is a solid 4 star for me. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Ever read from this author before so I don’t know who is all about just a little glimpse of what his parents are like, best bet is to read the books in order.
