Can you find love after you’ve lost everything? He lost everything, his life was shattered, and ever since, Banner has kept his heart closed. One betrayal of trust is enough. Four years later, a man steps into his life. Sweet, vibrant, and handsome, he ticks all the right boxes. He’s the one who Banner’s willing to open his heart for. From the moment Jasper sees the tall, long-haired, gorgeous … man, he knows Banner is the man for him. And he is prepared to wait for Banner to lower his defenses and let him in. Just when they think they find their happily ever after, Banner’s ex-boyfriend comes back. The one who ruined him. But he doesn’t want forgiveness; he just wants to set things straight. Typically, nothing goes the way it should.
A Safe Heart is book three in the Redemption series and follows on immediately from the first two books. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s best enjoyed reading the books in order. It contains man-on-man loving and is advised for 18+
This book was previously published as Banner, the story is the same..

This was a fun, quick read.
I really enjoyed this addition to this entertaining series.
I can’t wait to read what comes next.
Stand strong! Banner was broken. He is trying to recover from emotional devestation. He walled off his heart to protect himself from betrayals. He no longer trusts. Jasper, enters the picture. He is a good guy. He is just what Banner needs at the time he most needs it. Will he give Jasper a chance? Does Jasper have the patience, the heart, the right words to bring Banner peace? When old hurts come back, can Banner stay strong? Is Jasper a good rock? There are a few twists thrown at Banner and us. We can duck, will Banner stay strong? Great story. Excellent friends. This story keeps you engaged and glued. You will find it hard to put down, make the time! It’s worth it. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
M/M
Very quick read
Instalove
Great world building
Great characters
Great chemistry
Hurt/comfort
This was previously released as Banner and says the story is the same.
I was given a free arc copy of this newer version from the author and the GRR arc team for review.
This can definitely be read as standalone but if you are going to read the series I would suggest reading them in order to avoid spoilers.
This was a super quick read. Yet it didn’t feel rushed. I would have liked if it was a little longer though cause I loved it and didn’t want it to end. I couldn’t put it down from start to finish. This was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was both heartwrenching and heartwarming even though I didn’t find it overly angsty. My heart ached for the pain Banner went through with his ex and how sweet Jasper was to him while he learned to trust again and heal his heart. This had fabulous main characters that were well developed with amazing chemistry and a great group of friends. It was also pretty steamy.
I would definitely recommend this. I think if you read the previous books then u will love this one and even if you haven’t read the previous books u will still love it if you like sweet instalove stories and the fabulous group of side characters will make you want to go back and read the first 2 and the one after this.
Another great emotional book in the series of Redemption.
We know Banner and Jasper already from the first two parts of the series, but in the third part we get to know Dominic who’s was the reason for Banners trouble with trusting guys in a relation ship. Banner didn’t lost only his trust because of Dominic, he lost everything. Now, when he has recovered from all of this and is happy with Jasper, Dominic comes back. And the trouble starts but other the expected. Clearly Wolff and Gage are also part of it.
Again I’m fallen in the emotional writing of JJ, I completely witnessed al what is Happening to the characters of her books with laughing or with tears in my eyes.
Im looking forward to the last part of the series where we meet Theo again.
A Safe Heart meet Banner a loves whole heartedly but is betrayed by his boyfriend. After cleaning the pieces of his life, he Jasper, a man that is similar to the boyfriend that betrayed him. Jasper is different, he sees Banner and wants all of him, the biggest problem is over coming the Banner’s ex that blazes back into town. Again, we are presented with insta-love that is disguises as attraction. Of the four books this on is my favourite. I really liked Jasper and the way he was with Banner. All the drama that followed, Jasper was the rock. There were a lot of plot points I could have done without.
Overall, a good causal read
I read a re-release of this book! This is book three in this heartfelt emotional series. Each book in this series gets better! I’m a huge fan of JJ Haper and I LOVED Banner’s story! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review!
Yaay! Now we get Banner’s story who had me intrigued since Home to You (1st book of the series). He was always a great friend to Gage then to Wolff but there was always a sadness about him. Then he meets Jasper and the sparks fly. It is instalove but does not feel rushed. Banner knows he has to overcome his painful past in order to give Jasper a fair chance. A chance he is finally willing to give, open up his heart to love once again. Jasper is all about making it work with Banner, and will patiently provide all the love and support Banner needs. Especially when the evil of his ex shows up and life takes an unexpected turn. (Not gonna give any spoilers but definitely a twist I was not expecting). Banner is able to let go of the past, heal, and learn to trust again. Jasper was just the spark he needed. I’m glad he found his HEA after life had crushed his soul. That Jasper was able to fill his soul with happiness and love once again.
Banner has been through so so much. Jasper is there for him and loves his through it all. He helps him heal and become whole again. They had such and amazing connection and I loved to see this beautiful story about healing. This is truly an amazing series and I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next one!
Banner and Jaspers beginning.
My experience with multiple books in a series is that they either get better or are ho-hum. This one fell into the middle range. I liked both characters. Their relationship was sort of insta-love.
The writing was good. Most of the background was covered in the other books so this one was mainly developing their relationship deeper.
There was an unexpected development that added to the depth of the story and made it better in my opinion.
