Another great read in Rhys Bowen’s Royal Spyness series! I love these books. Cleverly written and such a wonderful escape from the reality of daily life! Can’t wait to start the next one!
Lady Georgiana has been ask to host a visiting princess. But trouble seems to follow them wherever they go. And that’s before the body shows up. This book is part comedy and part mystery and I thought they were mixed together perfectly.
I love Rhys Bowen and especially the Royal Spyness Series. They are LOL funny!

LOVED THE ENTIRE SERIES
Great books!
I like the whimsical world of these books. The major character is a minor royal who is answerable to the crown, but not financially supported by them. She finds her life in the 1930’s hard when she is not allowed to work to make money, but is unmarried and not supported by her family, who say they have no money, but live in fancy houses and a castle in Scotland. The predicaments she gets into, and they way she works out of them are charming.
I have read the first five books in the series to date, and have found each entry to be great fun to read. I wish that I had just finished this one so that I could look forward to the others. Georgie is a delight; the rest of the characters who populate her world, from her Cockney maternal grandfather to her royal paternal grandmother, are so engaging that “visiting” with them is always a treat. The mysteries and the humor work well too. Highly recommend.
I live this series! As the characters evolve, they become part if the family. Even if you figure out the “who done it” from page one, you geut involved in the stories.
I have liked all of Rhys Bowen’s “Georgie” books. She is a cute, fun character. These books are clean and cozy mysteries.
A clever, light, entertaining read.
