He’s not your average Joe from the corner bar.
He’s the heir to the crown.
I should know, I’ve followed him for years.
Not in a stalkerish way. Magazines and online gossip blogs are fair game when you’re royalty.
But I do know every detail about him, down to the brand of boxer briefs he wears.
All my studying of the man who plays a starring role in my dreams pays off when I win a dinner with … a dinner with him. As if that wasn’t enough, he barters a deal with me that has him moving into my spare guest room.
I forgot that fairy tales don’t exist though because just as I’m about to get everything I want, including the prince, I find out there’s someone in Prince Adrian Marx’s life I don’t know—his fiancée.

Outspoken and independent Sierra Sanders doesn’t believe in fairy tales, but has a secret crush on Prince Adrian Marx of Sandsal. Then she wins a date with the Prince and her life will take an unexpected turn.
Prince Adrian Marx is a well-known royal bad boy and women all over the world want to spend a night with him. When he meets the winner of the charity date, he’ll expect another wannabe princess and will be surprised to meet a woman who’s not afraid to call him out when his manners are not the ones he’s been bred to display at all times.
I’m seriously over the moon that my favorite duo decided to write a royal romance. I love them and, though I’ve read my share of duds, I really liked what they did with Prince Adrian and the firecracker that is Sierra.
I can’t praise enough the backstories to both these characters and the depth they have. It makes them human enough to give a more real tone to the story and I loved every minute of it.
After reading every book they’ve published thus far, I’m still in love with Piper Rayne’s stories and characters and can’t wait for the next Rooftop Crew’s or Bailey family’s member to come out (insert heart emoji).
After reading My Besties Ex, I wasn’t a fan of Sierra’s, but knowing Piper Rayne’s past characters I had to give her a chance to redeem herself. And I can now say that I’m a fan of Sierra’s, she is a fighter with many layers. Adrian is the perfect (prince) man to bring Sierra out of her head and to admit her feelings. Will the future King be able to live a normal life with the Roof Top Crew? This book is full of laughs, some royal drama and will have you shedding a tear or two.
I love how Piper Rayne’s does a different trope with every book they write, they hit this one out of the park. I am so looking forward to the next books in this series, Piper Rayne hinted to some of the upcoming couples.
The amazing ladies known as Piper Rayne have done it yet again. I absolutely loved this new addition to the Rooftop Crew with Sierra and Adrian.
We met Sierra in the first book (My Bestie’s Ex) and got a little insight to her but not much. It was really good to get more insight into why Sierra has acted the way she has with her boyfriends, etc.
Adrian – I absolutely loved him! At first I was wondering if he was going to be a complete douche bag with the way he acted meeting Sierra for the first time but then we really got know him. He may be a royal but he really doesn’t want to be and thus wants to act like a normal everyday person. I loved how he wanted to be there for Sierra no matter what and take care of her with all of the things that went on. I literally couldn’t stop reading this book once I started and was up to 4 a.m. this morning to finish it!
Also what’s great is not only do we get Sierra and Adrian but we get our Rooftop Crew and even a little from the Mancini’s. I love hearing from all the gang and I literally can’t wait for Rian and Dylan’s story!
I received an arc of this book in return for an honest review.
A Royal twist that will keep you turning the pages! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Adrian and Sierra are an unexpected pair that you would not put together. Prince Adrian wants to be normal and not have to rule a country. Sierra is a guarded soul that just wants to be loved. When these two get together the fireworks explode but can the flame stay lit with all the forces against these two. You must read this book!!! I am loving this series by Piper Rayne
I loved this way more than I thought I would. I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I wouldn’t say I disliked Sierra, but I definitely didn’t love her in the first book from this series. But I think we had to not love her in order to be okay with the previous couple. I ended up really enjoying her character in this book though. We got to know her: her past, her dreams, her hangups, etc. My heart went out to her.
As for Adrian, I didn’t love him in the very beginning, but he quickly grew on me. I wasn’t sure how him and Sierra would mesh, but it turned out that they were kind of perfect together. They complimented each other, and didn’t give up in the end despite the obstacles along the way. I would have loved to see more of Rowan, and even the roommates. I can’t wait for the next book after how this one ended, teasing us about what’s coming.
This was more emotional to me than some of their other books. There was aftermath of a death from years ago, there was quite a bit of family drama, etc. I cried at least once (although it was more like sobbed). I was hit with the feels, and I still haven’t recovered fully even while I typed this review. I highly recommend you check out this duo of authors. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read from them so far!
A Royal Mistake is another sparkling addition to the Rooftop Crew series! Having now read both books in the series, I have to say how I love how each book has their own unique flair! A lot of time when you read interconnected standalones within the series you see so many similarities between books that it becomes hard to tell them apart. That is NOT the case here though and I loved experiencing a whole new “world” with Adrian and Sierra!
If you’re looking for a book that’s both unique, funny, and heartfelt you can’t go wrong with this one! It can be read as a standalone in the series and you WILL be devouring it in one sitting!
A Royal Mistake (The Rooftop Crew #2) by Piper Rayne is the next story from the group of friends. We met Sierra and Prince Adrian in book 1-My Bestie’s Ex. This is their story. I have to first start off by saying that I was not fond of Sierra at all in the first book but was curious how the author was going to tell this story. I thought she was self absorbed and petty. This story begins with Sierra waiting to be introduced to the Prince. The same prince she has been obsessing over for awhile. Her first impression of him was not good at all. Adrian was not looking forward to this pr stunt his family set up and had no intention of playing along with it till he sees Sierra. What started out on the wrong foot turned into something on a good foot. By the end of the date what was initially one night of passion turned into Adrian becoming Sierra’s roommate. I loved the adventure the author took me on while they found their HEA. Adrian was definitely not your typical prince. Of course he was good looking with a nice body but he was also sweet, thoughtful, kind and sexy. As far as Sierra is concerned what we saw was not who she was and by the end of their story I really liked her. A truly good story that was sad at times, made me laugh at times, had me mad at times but left we with a big smile by the end. The story had me from the beginning to the end. 5 stars for me.
This is book 2 in the rooftop crew series by Piper Rayne.
Sierra won a date with a prince.
Prince Adrian Marx
I enjoyed this book a lot, from Sierra’s friends to Prince Adrian family and his people.
There was hope, love, family and friends. Emotions galore.
The chemistry between Sierra and Adrian was smoking.
If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
“It’s better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all.”
Another Page-Turner with a Royal Twist! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Adrian and Sierra are quite the pair. They have fireworks from the start. When Prince Adrian wants to live a normal life for a couple of months before he royal obligations kick in… He never imagined his heart would stay with Sierra.
5 Royal Stars
A Royal Mistake is a fabulous addition to the Rooftop Crew Series! I loved it! It’s everything you want out of a romance. It’s definitely a must read! I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc, but I loved it so much I purchased my own copy!
When I read My Bestie’s Ex, I really did not like Sierra and was a little hesitant about picking up her story, A Royal Mistake. I knew that Piper Rayne would set me straight though and I’m happy to say I enjoyed her story!
Sierra and Prince Adrian’s story was emotional, fun and made me smile on quite a few occasions. Add in the characters we met in the first book in the series and I was laughing and enjoying the story quite a bit! Sierra and Prince Adrian were totally made for each other and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
4.5 STARS
Piper Rayne has done it again with A Royal Mistake. I love this Rooftop Crew! I liked book #1 My Bestie’s Ex, but this I ADORED. LOVED so much. Absolutely devoured every word. I was NOT a fan of Sierra in My Bestie’s Ex but boy did she turn that around for me in this book. She seemed selfish and had a hardened heart but in this book we get to know and learn the real Sierra and I was pleastantly surprised and how much I loved her. She is a reporter and obsessed with all things Royal. She has followed Prince Adrian Marx for very long time and when she wins a date with him she is beyond thrilled. What she doesnt expect is that he is not a fan of the prince life. He needs a break and is in need of a place to stay and a room just came for rent at Sierra’s so this is perfect. I just adored their fun banter, the witty one liners and connection between these two. So much steam, and heat. I also loved their softer/sweeter sides. They were perfect for each other. They were supportive of one another and lifted each other up. Loved that. Rival Roomies is coming next in May. I cannot wait for Dylan and Rian’s story!
A Royal Mistake is a royal romance that is written in the first-person point of view and can be read as either a stand-alone or as the second book in The Rooftop Crew series.
Sierra has been following Prince Adrian Marx for a while and when there is a chance to ‘Win A Date with A Prince’ she enters and wins. When she arrives for her date, Prince Adrian is not who she thought he was. Adrian did not want to do the ‘Win A Date with A Prince’ but when he meets Sierra he is glad that he went through with it. With all of the issues going on with his family, Adrian gets his parents to allow him to two months off from his royal duties and stay in America with Sierra. When Adrian’s fiancée shows up, Sierra is not sure where that leaves her.
Piper Rayne has done it again! A Royal Mistake is an emotional rollercoaster ride that truly tugs at your heartstrings. They had me laughing one minute and tears the next. Adrian and Sierra have great chemistry and are perfect for each other when it comes to helping get through their individual family issues. The Rooftop Crew is an amazing great group of friends and I can not wait for the next novel in the series to be able to catch up with the crew.
*ARC was generously provided in exchange for my honest review*
My Bestie’s Ex didn’t exactly make Sierra look good, so I was a bit hesitant to read her story; but now I’ve finished it, I’m glad I did! Her background expains so much why was the way she was in the first book of this series.
Sierra and Adrian’s story is steamy, swoon-worthy, heartwarming, and full of drama. It ends with an HEA not just for those two, but for others as well!
A Royal Mistake is a contemporary royal romance written in dual first-person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
A Royal Mistake is the 2nd book in The Rooftop Crew. This is Sierra Sanders and Prince Adrian Marx’s story. We first met Sierra in book 1 and got a bad rap. She is besties with Blanca and is Ethan’s ex. Blanca and Ethan were the stars in My Besties Ex. (Another really good book that I highly recommend)
In A Royal Mistake Sierra won a date with Prince Adrian Marx. At first glance he isn’t all that but that is because he wasn’t trying to impress her. But wait for it…. He cleans up rather nicely!
Sierra has been closely following the Prince’s life. So much so she won a date with him. That date turns into Prince Adrian Marx living as her roommate for a couple of months. And as hard as she tries to keep away it turned into an impossible feat! They are destined for one another. Until she meets his parents.
I loved their story! And Sierra redeems herself in this book! I can’t wait to read the next book! Looks like it will Dylan & Rian’s turn! I love this book and the series so far! Rival Roomies up next!
If you’ve read the first book in The Rooftop Crew, My Bestie’s Ex, you met a Sierra that was a little moody if you will. In A Royal Mistake we learn more about Sierra and I have to say that I like her a whole lot more now! Adrian was an endearing hero. I will admit there were a few tears, giggles and the desire to shake someone (looks like we’re getting his story next!) during the reading of this book. Even if you haven’t read the first book, you can read this as a standalone but why not read them all?! This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting into with this book. I’m not a huge fan of romances featuring royals, it’s just not my thing. However, I’ve read all these authors books and I wasn’t going to let the fact that A Royal Mistake featured a prince put me off. And I’m so glad that I read it.
Prince Adrian wasn’t what I was expecting and neither was Seirra. He wasn’t the stuck up snob I was expecting him to be. He’s actually a great guy and he’s really easy to like. Sierra didn’t make the best impression in My Besties Ex so I wasn’t expecting to like her as much as I did. She’s got a lot of baggage that she’s dragging around and after finding out about her past, it’s really hard not to like her.
Prince Adrian and Sierras story isn’t as light hearted as I’m used to from this duos work. It’s more emotional, there’s more drama, more complications and it’ll have you rooting even more for them to get their hea. Another great book from Piper Rayne. Next up is The Rival Roomies and the book I’ve been impatiently waiting for. Can’t wait for more from The Rooftop Crew.
I am loving this series!! A Royal Mistake was book 2 in Piper and Rayne’s Rooftop Crew Series. I was a little hesitant about reading Sierra’s story, but I can’t really blame her for all the drama in book 1. Plus, those thoughts quickly vanished as soon as I started reading. I loved how I got to watch her grow from being reserved, and beautifully broken to confident and full of life. A Royal Mistake was an magnificent, emotional, sexy read!!
Sierra was the lucky winner of a date with her favorite prince. Would that same luck be on her side when he wanted to spend more time with her? Or would Adrian turn out to be a toad?
These two had me laughing and swooning! Such a great pair. Who wouldn’t want to fall in love with a real life prince?? I can’t wait to see what will be in store for the rest of the gang!!
After the first book in the Rooftop Crew Series I had mixed feelings about Sierra. It was hard for me to like her and yet I was curious about what’s her story.
And yet again, after reading this book, Piper Rayne made it impossible not to love this Character. I was very surprised by both Sierra and Adrian. They were not at all what I expected.
We finally get to know how Sierra ticks. And Adrian is not the Prince I was expecting, from the first moment he surprised me.
I loved their story and everything about it. Now I can’t wait for the third book in this series!!
Go get yourself a copy of this book, you will love it.
4.5 Stars
I’m not going to lie, I was a bit nervous going into this book after being introduced to Sierra in My Bestie’s Ex. But I should have known Piper Rayne would not only deliver an amazing story but completely redeem her in my eyes.
A Royal Mistake is a fun twist on royal romance, with lots of laughs, sizzling chemistry, and even a few tears. Sierra ended up worming her way into my heart and Adrian is, well let’s just say my thoughts on him aren’t exactly PG! He’s the perfect book boyfriend, prince, commoner, and any other title you want to give him.
While I loved the storyline between Sierra & Adrian, I couldn’t get enough of their friends. The scenes with the rooftop crew steal the show, and I adore the dynamic between all of them. The love & friendship is incredible, and the way they welcome in newcomers while still protecting their own is heartwarming.
This is such an addicting read, and I couldn’t put it down! The Rooftop Crew is quickly becoming my favorite series (even after only 2 books!) and I can’t wait for the next one!
