Taste this culinary cozy mystery series from USA Today Bestselling author Nancy Warren. Each book is a stand-alone mystery, though the stories are linked. They offer good, clean fun, and, naturally, recipes.

Another great mystery surrounds Poppy as she tries to make a perfect scone. Poppy can’t afforded to be kicked off the baking contest show, she needs to find more clues to her parentage, and now another dead body. The characters are wonderful and this is a great afternoon read. I would definitely recommend this book. I was given an arc. This is my honest review. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
A Rolling Scone is the third book in the Great Witches Baking Show by Nancy Warren. Not too surprising it is also the third week of the Baking Show Contest. Poppy has her hands full with her family mystery, trying her hand at baking winning scones, mastering her magic and solving another local member’s mysterious death.
Poppy is a delightful character with heart, questions and some dear four legged friends. A group of quirky supporting characters round out the story. Great escape reading, where Poppy’s sleuthing and baking makes you forget for a while any problem that you might have.
4.5 Stars
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A Rolling Scone is the third book in The Great Witches Baking Show series but it also stands on its own. Poppy is still searching for answers to her family past while also competing in the baking show. The characters are all great and the storyline kept me turning the pages. I also really wanted a scone when I was done with this book!!
Fire up the ovens
The danger and excitement continue with this newest take on reality TV. I am really enjoying how each book is another week on the baking contest with new recipes and new mysteries revealed. Poppy always seems to find her way to where the action is, and I love what the author is doing with her character. With each book I feel like I am more embroiled in her life and more concerned about the outcome of Poppy discovering her own history. The author is really doing a wonderful job with this series and I can’t wait to see what Poppy finds out next.
