But, underneath it all, is Lord Radford really the scoundrel that he seems?

NOT WHO YOU THINK!!!
Lady Rose is definitely by far in a league of her own. She takes a simple word and turns it into an exciting adventure for us to enjoy. She paints the way and sings the words and when it all comes together its a beautiful choir of angels in all their glory. The characters are intriguing and complex with individual qualities and traits that grow stronger as the tale unfolds. Some are bold and sorted, while others are meek and obedient. But not our main female character, nope, you can’t take credit where you didn’t precipitate in the meager upbringing to a strong, independent and intelligent young woman that one was taught unseemly in that late era of time. The scenes were vivid and graphic with a 3D illusion that feels very real. Lady Rose kept the suspense and drama balanced and let it play out in real time instead of rushed and botched. With all the twists and turns and unexpected surprises this tale carries secrets on the wind that make for an interesting tale to say the least. Fantastic job Lady Rose, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
How would you feel if you were an unloved orphan? This is a Cinderella story told from a slightly different angle. Full of wonderful scenes told with bold detail. A must read for the romantic at heart.

I loved this GREAT BOOK I recieved for free. This is a great story about a young lady that was raised in an orphanage. Now she has become of age and the lady that runs the orphanage wants her married and rid of her. SHE is putting a few flowers outside when a young man comes up and wants to talk to her she refuses. This is a great story that is hard to put down
I really enjoyed this book! I think it is my favorite book so far. An orphan ends up in a house for girls where she is looked down on by the owner! She doesnt know why but she learns to stick up for herself and grow in her own confidence. Ms. Skelton makes no secret that now Elsbeth is of age she wants her gone! As she is sent off to be a rogues governess with his intention of her becoming his mistress, she is determined not to let it happen! At his estate she finds love, laughter, a sense of purpose and shockingly who she is and where she comes from! It has some surprising twists and turns . I highly recommend this book and author of you love recency romances.

A very enthralling read. Hope that you continue with the Smithfield story line as it was one that I had a hard time putting it down.
I was hooked on this book on the very first chapter. The main characters are very likeable, and I was going nuts trying to find time to read it to find out what was going to happen with them. This isn’t just a historical romance…there is also a bit of a mystery playing out through the entire story, and something happens later to give it a bit of action as a dangerous situation develops, which had me on the edge of my seat needing to know things would turn out okay. As has happened with all of Ms. Pearson’s books I’ve read so far, I was left with a warm fuzzy feeling with how things turned out. So much happiness happening, with quite a few characters even, not just the main couple, so if you need a feel-good book to cheer you up, this will do it.
I received a free copy of this from the author in exchange for my honest review.
Elsbeth Blakeley has always lived in the Smithfield Home for Girls, never knowing who she is or who pays for her upkeep. Miss Skelton is in charge of the Home and seems to have a deep dislike of Elsbeth. All Elsbeth wants to do is get a job as a governess and get away from the Home.
Enter Viscount Andrew Radford, who has a very unsavory proposition for Elsbeth. She is horrified, but agrees to become a governess for his niece. The story unfolds from there and becomes one of the sweetest Regency romances that I have read.
The characters are wonderful, especially Elsbeth, who takes nothing from anybody, despite being from an unknown class. Her demeanor causes the Rogue, Andrew, to change his ways and become a completely different man.
The story is well-written and has enough twists and turns to keep the reader entertained. I really enjoy when a Regency has a touch of Gothic in it and this one has plenty.
Ms. Pearson writes a unique type of Regency, concentrating more on the characters and less on the descriptions that are usually present in the Regency genre. If you enjoy Regency written from a different perspective, grab this book. You won’t be disappointed!
Great
It reminded me somewhat of Jane Austen style of writing – timeless!
Wonderful book, two strong hearted people who seemed to constantly be at odds. Elspeth always wondered who her parents were. Be careful what you wish for. Andrew is used to getting what he wants. Will these two find love together or will Elsbeth’s secret past come between them? A great book will keep you turning the pages.
This is the first book of the new Smithfield Market series and I can’t wait for the next one. Elsbeth has been in a orphan home her entire life she longs to know who her family is but doubts she will ever know, the owner of the home is paid well for taking these girls in for in truth most are by-blows of the Ton, what is strange is her seeming hatred of Elsbeth and wants her gone. A ball was given to introduce the charges to potential husbands, Elsbeth wants no part of the ball or marriage but is forced to attend it here she finds she has been offered as a mistress to the Viscount Radford, when all she wants is to teach and find family. The ins and outs are interesting the end is wonderful. This book really is must read book for fans of genre.
I received this book as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review. ( Would have gladly paid for this book, it was great.)
I received an advanced copy of this book and wanted to share my thoughts on it. Wow! That’s what I keep saying over and over. I didn’t expect to be totally blown away or moved by this story, but I was intoxicated by Rose’s writing and the plot and the characters and everything really. I loved that the heroin was so independent and strong willed, not falling in line with what is expected of her during that era. I love that the hero was playful and flirty, yet still had substance. I was shocked at some of the events that happened, as it has twists and turns that I did not see coming and was truly startled by them. But I was left yearning for more. I couldn’t put the book down, and I love when that happens. Five stars, hands down! One of the best ones I have read.

A noble marries an orphan to inherit his estate. He later falls in love with her after she refuses to allow him to ignore her.
I was so captivated that I read the “Rogue’s Flower”in one day! Rose Pearson has out-done herself!
The characters of Elsbeth and the Lord Radford were very well developed. Elsbeth’s actions and speech indicated the depth of her character. She has a mind of her own and is willing to fight for what she knows is right. She never thinks of herself and is very loyal to those she loves. Her strength of character sees her through out the book.as she overcomes obstacle after obstacle. All the while she’s learned that she’s finally found home.
Lord Radford’s struggles to see himself as Elsbeth does. The reader can see his change from self-absorbtion to self-awareness. That self-awareness leads him to caring for others and eventually to love,
