A Ring of Truth is the next exciting installment of the Henrietta and Inspector Howard series, in which Clive reveals that he is actually the heir of the Howard estate and fortune, Henrietta discovers she may not be who she thought she was-and both must decide if they are really meant for each other.
“Downton Abbey” on the North Shore. Great escape reading.
I loved the characters in this book, & the story was good & well-written.
This is the second book of this series that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes a book series can seem repetitive, but this author brings in different dimensions of the characters from the first book that make this book a fun read.
A heroine as lovely as the Maisy Dobbs series. So happy I found a new series.
Easy and entertaining. A fun read
Not quite as fast-paced as I normally read, but overall a good period piece . I’ll probably read the whole
series.
Nice historical. Decent depth to the characters.
I really enjoyed this book, it was real different and a page turner for me. I’d like to read the next one and stay up with the characters.
A unique read…
Loved this book!
I can’t wait for the next installment! I am in limbo, wanting to know what happens next. Good book!!!!
Very good. I read it straight through. Good 1930s Cinderella story.
It was a really good book and I thought it was not going to be, but kept with it and was greatly pleased
Reminded me of Agatha Christie books. And nothing is better than a Chistie mystery.
I enjoyed the book and currently reading the sequel
Strong, believable characters. And a powerful empathic insight into personalities
Well written look at living in another era. Oneveuth hats and gloves and proper English. Enjoyable,
It was a very entertaining read, a nice glimpse into a different era. I was able to follow the characters well even though I hadn’t read book 1, but I dropped a star because there wasn’t a nice tie up at the ending. Clever of the author, as I went and purchased book 3 to see where things go. Hope 3 ties up nicely or that 4 is available. I’m a fan of ending a book with a contented sigh- ‘that was nice,’ instead of ‘ack! You can’t stop there!’
Read the series. Waiting for next book in April
A nice fast read.
Loved it
