There are only two ways you leave the Wild Hunt: You die, or you’re too old to get the job done. That was until Jinx up and left without an explanation. For the last five years, she’s lived in the human world, chasing down rogue supernaturals and managing the bar beneath her apartment to make ends meet. All of that changes the day her little sister shows up on her doorstep. The King of the Wild … doorstep.
The King of the Wild Hunt has been taken, and not even the greatest of hunters can find him.
Left with no other choice but to help, Jinx returns home to a kingdom that thinks she abandoned them. And if that’s not bad enough, she has to work with the insufferably attractive Draven Hellguard to find her father.
After being gone for so long, she can’t help but feel like unseen things are happening at Castle Tor. Unsure who she can trust and who’s out to destroy her family, Jinx is only sure about one thing.
Whoever did this is going to pay, and she won’t stop until they do.

I really enjoyed this, MC was strong, independent, and driven. She may have had hidden secrets and agendas for some of her decisions, but they were legit and for good reason. The characters have good details and bones. The chemistry and camaraderie was fun, strong, and comical. I can’t wait to see where this story leads. Not to mention the steam and passion touched on and hinted at.
A Reluctant Huntress by Graceley Knox is an amazing story that I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series and I can not wwait to read book number two in this amazing series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

This is the first book I have read by Graceley Knox and I was impressed with the character and world building although the lead female m/c could do with a bit more consistency in her character as sometimes she is sassy and strong but other times she seems to lack a little substance, plus there is a certain scene where she caves without much of a fight which was a missed opportunity for more drama, heat and sizzle. But I am being being picky as the actual storey, world building and characters as a whole is really good.
Biggest Plus – I really love the fact that Jinx’s best friend Kapriel is male and they have a brilliant dynamic together which is completely non sexual, I also love the fact that Kapriel is a half breed from a race that traditionally Jinx’s people do not normally get on well with – This book covers a lot of issues well around these situations which I wish more authors would do. The world in which we live should be inclusive and not exclusive.
Biggest annoyance – I really didn’t like the way she verbally laid into her pregnant sister-in-law at the end as this could have been done in a more mature and less childish, less personal way.
Lastly the actual story itself as a whole is really very good and well worth a read with some originality and lots of intrigue. I was drawn into the storey and am really looking forward to the second book! I am also suitably impresses that I am looking into reading some of the authors other books
Having lived in the human world for the past 5 years, Jinx is dragged back as the best huntress to track down the missing King of the Wild, who also just happens to be her father.
This is the first book I have read by this author but it most certainly will not be the last. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

Jinx left everything behind and has chosen to live amongst humans and chase down human and fae criminals but when her sister seeks her out after 5 years needing help finding there father the King of the Wild Hunt. Her reason for leaving will come out but she wont go alone her friend Kap will come with her. And the trail will lead her into Redcap Territory but before that she will have to deal with old betrayals and a ex fiance that just wont go away. Is there a sinister plot to get rid of her father will it lead to family betrayal or was it away to get her back home to get rid of her once and for all. This book has tension and dangerous plots thrown in your not sure who to trust and the beginning of some romance but it leads to a cliffhanger. The book was interesting and now I cant wait for the second book to come out.

I loved the easy relationship Jinx had with her partner and best friend, Kapriel. They had a wonderful dynamic and more of a brother/sister bond. The teasing and easy dialogue between them was really enjoyable and a nice change of pace.
This is a really intriguing world Knox has created and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Jinx (FMC) and her work partner Kapriel are hunters in the human world. Chasing all manner of Supernatural criminals until her sister Wren turns up by surprise after not seeing each other for 5 years. With news that her father (the king) has gone missing and her being the future heir has to come home. Going home to the fae realm brings all kinds of good and bad complications. JInx is a great character. Funny and Witty. Her banter with Kapriel was absolutely hilarious. Just a brilliant read
I absolutely enjoyed this book. The characters were amazing and will have you lol. I like a good mystery book and this book has me trying too really figure out who kidnapped the King. Exciting and Thrilling!
WOW! This is one very exciting and thrilling, fast paced story full of suspense and intrigue. Jinx is one serious badass heroine who will insult you and kick your butt at the same time. She’s fierce and witty with one smartass side kick helping her out. The story is fantastic and highly entertaining with wonderfully written characters and world building. I can’t wait to read where this story takes us next.
This was my first Graceley Knox’s book. This is the first book in the Tales of the Wild Hunt, a Fae Series. The characters are great, and the world building is complex, original, and entertaining. Jinx’s hunt is intricate and captivating. The story ends with a cliffhanger. Elle Sonali did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession
Awesome – loved everything about the book and can’t wait for the next one. Love the back and forth banter of Jinx and Kapriel’s – they act like brother and sister it’s awesome. Love the way the steps right back into her role once she’s back in at home. Left at a cliff hanger and April is way to far away. Absolutely love the book!
I was really excited to read this book. I absolutely loved the cover: It started off slow for me, and unfortunately it didn’t pick up to keep my interest. I do love this authors other books, so I will continue to keep reading her work.,
