With the same incomparable style and warm, inviting voice that have made her beloved by millions of readers far and wide, New York Times bestselling author Fannie Flagg has written an enchanting Christmas story of faith and hope for all ages that is sure to become a classic. Deep in the southernmost part of Alabama, along the banks of a lazy winding river, lies the sleepy little community known … community known as Lost River, a place that time itself seems to have forgotten. After a startling diagnosis from his doctor, Oswald T. Campbell leaves behind the cold and damp of the oncoming Chicago winter to spend what he believes will be his last Christmas in the warm and welcoming town of Lost River. There he meets the postman who delivers mail by boat, the store owner who nurses a broken heart, the ladies of the Mystic Order of the Royal Polka Dots Secret Society, who do clandestine good works. And he meets a little redbird named Jack, who is at the center of this tale of a magical Christmas when something so amazing happened that those who witnessed it have never forgotten it. Once you experience the wonder, you too will never forget A Redbird Christmas.

It was great, typical Fannie Flagg style.
Loved it
I like Fannie’s writing style. Quick moving and meaningful story.
I love to read Fannie Flagg books as the sweet flavor of the South comes through. This book was a delightful read. It portrays a neighborhood we would all like to live in.
It was just a good read.
I thought it would be sappy and I guess it was, but it entertained me and I was glad I read it.
Everyone needs an adult fairy tale. Wonderful.
Nice feel good short novel.
I always enjoy Fannie Flagg’s books. This is not my favorite but still grabbed my interest and held it. As always, her dry humor and witty presentation of the characters kept me amused.
I loved this book I wasn’t quite sure what I would expect from Fanny Flagg but this book was a joy to read!
Beautiful book – makes reader thinks about people in personal life and look to improve relationships.
GREAT READ. CAN’T WAIT TO READ THE REST OF HER BOOKS. JUST WISH IT WAS A LITTLE LONGER.
As with all of Fanny Flaggs books absolutely wonderful!
Really enjoyed it. Heartwarming a Christmas story.
A fun read-especially for northerners stuck in dreary winter weather.
I’ve been a fan of Fanny Flag for years. This book does not disappoint.
A cute easy to read but predictable story. Good when you just want an escape and not have to think too hard. She does write memorable characters.
Made my heart light
I wanted something sweet and sentimental to read during the holidays, and this was the perfect fit. Leaving the cold of Chicago and arriving in the balmy South, I loved meeting the characters and the silly but heartwarming events.
I enjoyed reading this fun story from Fannie Flagg. I have read other books of hers and I have always enjoyed them. I’d love to see this made into a movie.
