New York Times bestselling author Stephanie Rowe delivers a heartwarming new series set in Rogue Valley, Wyoming, home to the Stockton brothers, a clan of fiercely loyal and honorable men, and the women who touch the hearts of these rugged, loner cowboys.
The only reason rancher Chase Stockton and his brothers survived their brutal childhood was because they protected each other. Nothing will … other. Nothing will ever come between them…until a sudden tragedy calls in a life debt Chase can’t ignore, forcing him to make a choice that could destroy the very bonds that hold his family together.
Mira Cabot has never asked for help, but when a sexy, protective cowboy makes her an offer she can’t afford to refuse, she finds herself on her way to Wyoming to be the shotgun bride of a man she has every reason…and no reason…to trust.
The sizzling connection between Mira and Chase turns a rescue mission into something dangerously addictive, one that could either heal two broken hearts, or shatter them forever.

Good first book in series in the Stockton brothers. This is Chase Stockton and Mira’s tale. Will be looking into the rest of the series.
Recently I accepted a “Free” copy of “A Real Cowboy Never Says No” by Stephanie Rowe (book 1 of the Wyoming Rebels Series) . This book turned out to be a very enjoyable story! It is the story of Chase Stockton, his 7 brothers and Mira, the girl friend of Chase’s best friend, A. J. The story opens with Chase going to A. J.’s funeral to provide support for Mira. For 10 years A. J. constantly talked to Chase about Mira. Chase, his brothers and A. J. all shared coming from abusive families. Chase learns Mira is in trouble. A. J.’s father is a cruel man. If he learns Mira is pregnant with A. J.’s child, she fears he will try to take the child from her. Chase is captivated by Mira and offers to marry her to keep her and her baby safe. Unfortunately Chase and all of his brothers have sworn to NEVER have anything to do with women due to much mistreatment by their father and his many wives/girl friends (mothers of the boys). Mira travels to Wyoming to live on Chase’s ranch, putting off getting married. Chase has continuous internal worries about “marrying” Mira (who he is greatly attracted to) and knows his brothers will be quite upset if he gets married. The attraction between Chase and Mira grows. How they work their way through the problems they face was riveting. I read this book in one night! It was so good that I immediately ordered book 2 in the series! I highly recommend this romance to all readers!
New Beginnings
Mira was in the one place she didn’t want to be but she has to say goodbye to his friend AJ. The last time she saw him he came for her mother’s funeral. She knows his dad is going to be pissed, he changed his will, all he built will go to charity. Chase had to come his best friend from college is gone, he helped him in so many ways, but he had to keep a promise to protect Mira. But there is a surprise in store, AJ and Mira has always been platonic friends, but one night left her a part of him.
This book has wonderful Characters, Love the humor. It made you laugh and than cry . Great read
I knew she could write. I read her horrible paranormal dating books. The titles would always draw me in. But I kept the idea that I would never read another book by her in the back of my mind. But I’m glad that I gave her another chance. Don’t pick the paranormal series if you like this one. But this is worth picking up.
This poignant story will have your emotions all twisted. Chase comes to Mira’s rescue when his best friend AJ dies. Their upbringing is similar which created a bond between the men. When AJ’s father goes after Mira, Chase steps in to create a rouse to protect her unborn child. Will AJ’s father buy it and will Chase be able to protect his heart against all that he is beginning to feel for Mira? This story will have you in Mira and Chase’s corner to get a chance to find a well deserved happiness together.
Great book
DNF at 50%.
In some respects the author is an excellent writer – her descriptions of people, places, feelings really sucked me in. Unfortunately, the plot had more holes than Swiss cheese.
Mira is pregnant by her recently deceased best friend, AJ. Apparently they’ve never been romantically involved and it was some kind of grief thing that friends of 20 years do when her mother dies (this was the author’s way of making it Ok I guess?)
Mira discovers she’s pregnant the day before AJ’s funeral, but knows AJ’s dad is evil and will try to take the baby if he learns about it. (I don’t get how he’d know, but we’re repeatedly assured he would) AJ’s other best friend Chase arrives at the funeral. Somehow in 10 years Mira & Chase have never met. Chase realizes she needs protecting from Grampa and offers to spend the night at her house that night so the whole town assumes she slept with him. Then they’ll pretend she finds out she’s pregnant and goes off to the ranch for a shotgun wedding.
She leaves for Chase’s THE NEXT DAY. How is that realistic in a “fool the townsfolk” way?
Then it’s chapter after chapter of back and forth “this is a good idea” “this is a bad idea” “I’m practically in love with you” “I barely know you” “I can’t marry you because my 8 brothers & I have sworn off women and we’re all going to be bachelors on this ranch” Huh? Other than setting up a series of 8 books, this is so ridiculous.
Smaller things, but they add up. Like In one chapter AJ graduated and left for college 2 years before Mira did. But later she’s packing up pictures and one is of the two of them on graduation day in their caps & gowns.
I just couldn’t read any more.
Reading this book makes me go right to Amazon and get the next book!! What a great story-line and I loved it. It’s a bit different about second chances; it’s romantic as Mira Cabot breaks down the walls of her special man; it’s unusual as eight men stand firm (sort of) against having any women in their lives; and, it made me smile.
This was a great read. A lot of fun, so enjoyable. Loved the cowboy hero. Glad to have discovered the lighter side of Stephanie Rowe!!
COWBOY NEVER SAYS NO is a very well-written book with a depth to the characters created by Stephanie Rowe. Mira finds herself pregnant, alone and up against a very powerful man. In rides Chase (figuratively), who recognizes the implications of danger toward this pregnancy and offers her refuge. Chase and his brothers have had bad experiences with women and Mira is not welcomed by the brothers. Therein lies the plot. The author weaves a wonderful story about love, loyalty and family ties. Pick up this book and you won’t be sorry.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Rcently. I seemed to be reading many books in which one if not both of the main characters were subject to abuse as a child and are still struggling with the physical and mental scars as adults. Is this a new trend? I hope only in fiction, because if not, it is a sad commentary on the push away from conservative values.
Mira Cabot grew up in happy, loving home. The same could not be said about her best friend, AJ, who was severally abused by his wealthy father, Alan, and who found refuge in the Cabot home. Mira’s father was the sheriff of their small southern town. As soon as he could, AJ left town to never return, but kept in touch with Mira. At college, he made another best friend, Chase Stockton, also the child of abuse. For ten years, Mira and Chase knew each other vicariously through AJ, but finally meet in person at AJs funeral.
While she was in college, Mira’s parents were in an auto accident, that left her father dead and her mother an invalid. When she left school to take care of her mother, her fiancee broke their engagement and quickly married her college roommate. When her mother died, a few weeks earlier, AJ had come for the funeral and in a act of grief and comfort they had sex.
Now Mira finds herself pregnant with AJ’s child, is terrified that Alan will find out and with his wealth take her child away from her. A very observant Chase figures it out and offers to protect Mira and AJ’s child by marrying her- just a business arrangement to protect them from Alan. But Chase has his own “issues” – his brothers. Eight younger brothers, mothered by various abusive step mothers and girlfriends. The brothers had vowed to never let a woman in their lives, believing that all women are like their mothers, and they might end up like their father.
Despite their strong attraction to each other and their AJ bond, can Mira and Chase trust each other ? How will Chase’s brothers react to Mira’s presence? Can they fool Alan?
The author weaves angst, hot cowboys, horses, a picturesque description of the ranch and villains into a beautiful love story, where not only the main characters, but the supporting characters step up to protect others. And with all those brothers, we will have a nice long series to devour.
Heck yeah, I am totally reading the rest of this series. Already attached to all the characters! Gotta know what happens next!
Extremely fun, sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging, passion filled romantic adventure that includes a surprise baby twist..
Chase Stockton and his brother have an unshakeable bond formed by surviving a their brutal childhood together. Mira Cabot is a sassy, strong and independent woman that never asks for help, until now. The question is will Chase’s need to protect Mira be the one thing that shakes the bond between him and his brothers? Enjoyed this heart pounding and exciting journey.
This cowboy romance tugs at the heart strings and makes me want to go out and find a real cowboy to love!
Mira and Chase are strong, captivating and are easily related to as they draw readers into their story and refuse to let go until they own every last bit of the reader’s heart. The romance is rocky with lots of heart felt emotional turmoil that adds depth and has readers empathizing with this captivating couple. The story also introduces the Stockton brothers who also grab reader’s attention and captivate their hearts due to their heart breaking past and ensures that the readers will want to know their stories as well.
Stephanie Rowe brings her heart capturing world to life with well written words that paints vivid imagery and her wonderful characters life like and I was completely captivated from the very beginning and found her cowboys to be sexy and loveable, so I will definitely be visiting with the Wyoming Rebels again.
