This cowboy has given up on love, but the new nanny might just make him change his mind. The first in a new series from New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend. Caleb Stone is wearing too many hats and it’s making him crankier than usual. He’s a cowboy, a father, and the head of his large family—and has been since tragedy claimed his parents over ten years ago. The ranch is struggling, … parents over ten years ago. The ranch is struggling, but it’s the title of single dad that’s got him tangled up in knots. He needs a full-time, live-in nanny at the Silver Stone homestead in Heart Falls, Alberta, to help with his two little girls, but the woman about to arrive on his doorstep? Tantalizing, tempting, and trouble with capital T’s.
Tamara Coleman doesn’t regret the choices that led to losing her job, but she definitely needs a fresh start. When a friend recommends her for a nanny position in a new town, she swears this time it’ll be different. No more acting on impulse—except sexy, gruff Caleb is exactly the kind of man who pushes all her buttons. And what’s more, it’s so much fun to push his in return. Sparks fly between Tamara and her gorgeous boss, but she can’t risk her position, and he doesn’t dare risk his heart.
With two people fighting their true natures, something’s going to give. Luckily, there’s more than one way to capture a rancher’s heart.

Always a delight to read author.
This book is a great start to this new series. I can’t wait to find out what happens to the Stone family in the next books.
Oh I do love Arend’s well written stories and characters!! Even though her characters are all linked she gives them all different challenges and loves!!
How nice to get a spin off new series from the Rocky Mountain series.
This is book one in what looks to be another successful series by Ms Arend.
It was wonderful to see what happens to Tamara and how she finds her perfect family when she becomes the nanny to Caleb’s two lovely little girls.
Tamara was going to make a fresh start but I am so glad she stayed her smart mouth self.
Great story that warms as it enfolds you in a feeling of family. I love how it wasn’t rushed and these two really don’t come together until 70% into the book but the journey is so worthwhile.
This can easily be read as a standalone but is more enjoyable if you have read the previous books.
This is my honest review of this book.
For those of us south of the border (Canadian) it is interesting to see the differences between USA writers and Canadian writers. Good series. Interconnected characters. Interesting stories. Some of the books can be steamy, but the characters seem genuine.
Another great read by Vivian Arend!
A wonderful story about two people who had no intention of becoming romantically involved, but propinquity changed their minds. I liked the reality of the children’s actions and reactions. I am also a fan of continuing sagas and the reappearance of characters from earlier books especially when there are no continuity issues. I will continue reading everything by this author.
Caleb Stone has his hands full … being a father, brother, and the head of his family while running the Silver Stone ranch. He needs a nanny for his girls, and hires Tamara Coleman for the job based on his sister’s recommendation. The only problem is that Caleb can’t stop thinking or dreaming about her. Tamara lost her nursing job and is starting over as a nanny. She’s feisty, loving, unpredictable, and has to fight the temptation of Caleb. He’s her boss, and mixing business with pleasure is a big no-no. 😀
Caleb and Tamara’s story will have you laughing from the start. It pulls at your heart, and may cause some tears while you read their love story.
Vivian Arend is on my one-click author list, and she never disappoints. I was sorry when the Six Pack Ranch Series ended, but A Rancher’s Heart is the perfect start to the NEW Heart Falls Series. I can’t wait for Walker Stone’s book … A Rancher’s Song coming in 2018.
