That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau’s bed? He’s not dessert — he’s the main course! Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there’s another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood… an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it … doesn’t hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger’s bedroom pretty quickly — once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That’s a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into… if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

I almost gave up on this book, because it was one of my first paranormal romance and I was missed the action of urban fantasy. (The ‘clues’ about who the bad guy was going to be were also laughingly obvious.) I kept reading because it was a recommendation from my sister and I’m glad I did.
What I liked about it was the characters, and they are …
I just love the Argeneau twist on the vampire legend!
The best birthday gift
You are going to love this new take on vampires. The author managed to combine two of our favorite myths and create an entirely new race of beings. I especially enjoyed the brief forays into Greg’s thoughts and the humor that it brought to the story. The author has brought us an entire family that I hope to read about in …
Laugh out loud funny! GREAT series.
These stories have never failed to entertain.
It was fun to read a story with the heroine as the “immortal”. The addition of her “problem” made her that more interesting. The hero, a psychologist, is “enlisted” to cure her of her phobia. What Lissianna’s family does to fix her is downright funny and I found myself grinning through the book at the shenanigans. Both Lissianna and Greg are …
Love this series
I love these books about the Argeneau family.
I love this series! I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed reading about this extended family and crew…
This is a great beginning the this series and a funny change to vampire stories.
This is a great series reread them lol the time
Love love love this series funny witty I get so lost in them great read!
I like this series by Sands. This is one of the few that I will still buy in print and not an e-copy. I like how you pretty much know who the bad guy is but she always incorporates humor into her books. Does a great job of incorporating the supernatural world into “real-life” situations.
I absolutely love this book.. re reading the whole series and cant get enough of all these characters… this is a fantastic book and I recommend this book and series for everyone to read.
This book is such fun! It’s the first of her Argeneau series, which is now, I think, on No. 25. If you want a light and engaging read in a world it would be fun to inhabit, this fits the bill.
A Quick Bite is the first book in the Argeneau Family series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. I loved getting to enter this new world and meet these new characters. It was just a great story and I was sad to see it end. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this series.
A great paranormal romance series
This is technically the first book in the Argeneau series. I think I read the 2nd & 3rd books before this one, before it was an established series. So I was familiar w/ the premise. I LOVE this series so much! And Lissianna & Greg are such a FUN couple. They get into some scrappy & hilarious situations revolving around her unique health issue… …
I love the characters of the book.
