I loved the heroine in this story. Brandyne had great morals and she owned her bad decisions. She worked really hard to make her and her children’s lives better. She was appreciative of her neighbors charity and always looked for the good and didn’t dwell in the bad. The hero Blake was the perfect match for Brandyne. He knew that she was a package deal and was very accepting of her five children. He was an alpha with a really good soul. This story was inspirational, romantic, and well written. I was really happy with the ending and enjoyed reading the book.
This was a great story of Brandyne, the Parker sister who ran away with Willy, the rodeo cowboy. Ending up with five children and deserted by Willy, she was found with her children destitute in a small town in Montana. Blake is the sheriff in the town and decides that he is the one who should look after her and the children. A wandering cowboy. A small town. Struggle. I am so glad that Brandyne finally finds her happiness.
I recieved this book free and I am voluntarily doing a review. I liked the authors writing style and the personalities of the characters. The mom is a strong independent woman he is a true man…The storyline had me reading for hours.
Wow, I absolutely loved this story. If like me you have not read the previous stories in this series, no worries. This is truly a stand alone.
The story centers around single mom of 5 , Brandyne, and Sheriff Blake Gatlin.
Brandyne has lived in poverty , especially after Willy, the father of her children, and the man for whom she dropped all her future plans at the age of 18, abandons them . One of the men that find them in a shack is Blake. A man with a gentle soul, and one that with the town’s help, is helping her survive.
A friendship develops between these two, but what can Brandyne offer him, but her own baggage and a woman with 5 kids?
Blake sees in Brandyne a strong woman who has survived in spite of the obstacles she has had to overcome.
But what happens when she is left homeless a second time? What happens when Willy comes back? Will Blake be left with a broken heart?
Another wonderful story by this very talented author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
When Sheriff Blake Gatlin finds Brandyne Parker and her five children living in a shed, out of luck and money, he becomes their protector. Brandyne had such plans for her life until a chance meeting with a cowboy led her to where she is today. She does everything she can for her children and with the help of the friendly town, is managing to keep her family together. The children’s father abandoned them and unintentionally, Blake has gradually become a father figure to the children. Blake is becoming extremely fond of Brandyne and her children, but is he ready to give up his bachelor existence for a ready-made family? A heartfelt and charming romance of a woman and man who find unexpected love. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
A Promise of Forever is my favourite in the series so far.
I loved this book. Eckhart has a way of drawing a reader into a story like no other.
As always, the characters are believable and relatable.
The dialogue is conversational around a plot that is engaging yet believable.
I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
