A redemption story that works and is lovely. Miranda, as we remember from a previous story was not very likeable. This story shows you that most everyone is redeemable – really just misunderstood. I loved that her real personality comes out and with such a sweet, kind, loving, and prince of a man, Simon. This is a very romantic story that will leave you with a huge smile on your face.

Simon is a prince among men.
Dr. Simon Astor is a caring, compassionate man, striving to help others. He lives in a mere 60 room manor and takes in a viscount, his countess mother and Lady Miranda after a bad carriage accident for a week.
Lady Miranda is a great beauty, told from birth she was so pretty, only a prince or duke would do. A sentiment she was wholeheartedly on board with and even tried to compromise another duke. Since that shameful act (and almost losing her friend over it) she’s had a change of heart.
Simon is not a prince or a duke, but his brother is a duke and Miranda’s mother conspires to compromise the duke and Miranda. Will her plotting work?
Recommend because Simon truly is a prince.

A Prince of my Own is the sixth book in the Forever Yours series and I just was thrilled to get to return to this world and it’s amazing characters. This book was just so good and I just lost myself in the story. I will most definitely be reading more books by this wonderful author.
Dr. Simon Astor is a country & never has wanted to treat the gentry of London’s society. He knows, even as a 3rd son of a Duke, he will not find a society match for his wife. He will keep his focus on treating his patients & raising money to build a hospital nearby.
Lady Miranda Cheswick’s is, above all else, beautiful – her Mother has always had great expectations that Miranda would marry a prince or at least, a duke. Miranda has no choice, other than to fulfill duty, even though her heart yearns to marry for love.
A carriage accident brings Miranda & Simon together near his estate & this is where the fun begins between them. Can people from two totally different plans for their lives meet in the middle, can the experience true love, will her family keep them apart? I highly recommend this book & the whole series for great stories & loving characters – thank you Stacy Reid for the great entertainment!

This book is pretty short and so is a quick read, only takes just over an hour, perfect for when you want a break and a coffee. I enjoyed reading this historical romance, the two main characters had chemistry despite doing their best to initially fight it to please their families. A nice sweet story that is a delight to read.

Lady Miranda and Simon meet after a carriage accident. They fall in love but their history is note easy. Her mother wishes Miranda marries a prince or a duke. She dismisses Simon pledge. After some compromising, twists and turns the story has a happy end.
I enjoyed reading the book. The characters are believable and well developed. I do recommend the book.

I loved this story, it was so. romantic. Dr. Aston was a kind and good man, he had been hurt in his youth by a woman and did not want another involvement.Mira was extremely beautiful. She had been told all her life that she will marry well for a title and wealth. That is not what she wants. She wants love and respect. She and the Dr. Start spending a lot of time together and soon they are in love. Things start to happen and make life very difficult for them. Everyone seems to be trying to separate them. The author did a great job of writing, it read smooth, was evenly paced and so well written you could not put it down. The characters were full of life and very realistic. Thank you for allowing me to read it.

I loved these characters and how immediate their attraction. Simon is delicious! It’s a good twist on how women would compromise unsuspecting gentlemen, and the Duke is a good sport, especially as he also is attracted to Miranda. Miranda’s mother is horrid and controlling right up to the end, which thankfully is her comeuppance.
Lady Miranda Cheswick was a great beauty and her mother informed her that one day she would marry a prince are most certainly a Duke. The only problem was Lady Miranda was almost 22 years old was not yet married. Her best friend had married the Duke that she was supposed to marry. But her best friend and the Duke loved each other so she was happy for them. Her mother did whatever she could do to try to get Miranda married to a Duke at least. They were on their way to a house party where there was a Marquis that her mother had decided that Miranda could marry when they had an accident and her mother had badly injured her ankle and could not walk on it so they went to the doctors house where he put them up until Miranda’s mother could walk on her ankle. Miranda found her friends but her mother would never agree to the marriage so you have to read the book to discover what happens to Miranda and her prints. It’s a fairly quick read and it’s a good book…
It has to be really difficult when your first memories of your mother telling you of your beauty and that you would one day marry a prince. Not find your prince but marry one regardless. Lady Miranda’s mother was almost a harridan when it came to her come out and looking for the perfect man for her. End the end it had cost her a relationship with her best friend.
Bur Miranda was determined to marry for love, no matter what her obsessed (ok my words, not hers) pushed at her or tried to put her in compromising positions to obtain the had of a duke.
When Miranda meets Dr. Simon Astor, there seems to be almost an instant attraction. But of course he is a simple country doctor and not good enough, per her mother. Simon sees much more in her than just her beauty. So how can they come together? It is not a smooth road to their happy ever after, but filled with a few twists and turns. Will they ever get together or will her mother make sure she does not devote herself to Simon?
Another Stacy Reid amazing story. She always pulls me in from the beginning. These are really two people fated for each other and I truly loved them both!

A lovely story of two beautiful souls meeting under undesirable conditions. When Lady Miranda’s family coach has an accident Dr. Simon Astor and his staff come to their rescue. Apparently two coaches collided and there were casualties in both carriages. Unfortunately for Miranda’s manipulating and conniving mother her ankle was severely sprained and she had to be laid up for at least two weeks. During this time Simon and Miranda’s friendship blossomed and they shared their deepest thoughts and hopes. Eventually they fell in love. But Miranda’s title grubbing mother would not have her daughter settle for anyone less than a prince or a duke. Unbeknownst to Miranda’s family Simon is the third son of a duke. When Simon asks Miranda permission to court her, she says yes. He is to go to her father for permission. Unfortunately, all their hopes and dreams come crashing down on them when Miranda’s mother puts her and Simon’s brother the Duke in a compromising position. What can Miranda do? Does she have it in her to put a stop to her mother’s machinations? Will Simon let her marry his brother? Will he fight for her against his brother and her family? A wonderful short story filled with everything you want and expect from a romance. An excellent read and I do recommend it.
The sixth book in the Forever Yours series What a Mother I think I would have slapped her. I would like to see,an extra chapter or an epilogue this story ended kind of abruptly. I wold also like to see the other brother get his own story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Her mother has told Lady Miranda from nearly the second she popped out of the womb that she was destined to marry a prince or a duke. Her mother has even tried to place her in compromising positions to force a marriage between her daughter and the upper echelons of aristocracy. On a trip to a house party where Miranda will meet her mother’s next quarry, the family gets into an accident. The mother sprains her ankle severely. Dr. Simon Astor is at close at hand, and after examination, he declares that she cannot move for at least a week or two and offers them rooms in his home. Simon is the third son of a duke (unknown to Lady Miranda and her family for a while) who, while he is a physician, has a good allowance and has been able to buy a lovely estate which he has partially turned into a hospital.
Simon is a dedicated physician and an all-around decent man. He enjoys spending time with Miranda, and she soon begins helping him with his patients. This isn’t always easy for her as she is a gently bred young woman, so Simon sees and appreciates her strength and compassion. Considering that the book is relatively short, their progression from friendly acquaintances to love is believable, natural, and quite sweet to read.
Lady Miranda’s mother, on the other hand, is a real piece of work. Before the carriage accident in an early discussion between her and Lady Miranda, the mother comes across as over-the-top and melodramatic in her desire to see her daughter wed to a man of the highest station. In fact, it was so over the top that I almost quit reading because it was just crazy. But I had read good reviews of this book, and I was curious to see the relationship between the principals, so I kept going. Lady Miranda’s mother doesn’t care for her daughter’s happiness whatsoever; marrying the highest title is the only thing that does. Her mother sets in motion something drastic to get her fondest wish realized, and when it happens, it is ghastly and heartbreaking.
The only other fault that I see in this book is that it ended too soon. The ending is one of the most abrupt I’ve seen in a romance. Things are barely resolved when—BOOM!—the book ends. I would have liked to have seen a little more about what happened afterward, both in the main line of the story and in an extended epilogue. The hero and heroine are excellent characters who deserve each other; they also deserve for their story to be more fully told.
It was so easy to get swept up into this wonderful romance. Miranda and Simon’s story was sweet and very emotioional. With drama, lots of emotional tension, a few surprising twists and a simply heart touching romance, this book is a terrific read that will keep you entertained and on your toes. This is my frank, freely posted review.
This is the 6th book in the Forever Yours series but it can be read as a standalone book. It is a well written book and very enjoyable to read. Miranda was in a previous book and she was not a likeable character in it, so I was wondering how the author would write Miranda’s story. I adored her character in this book. She wanted to marry for love and was being pushed to make a Prince or Duke by her family. Simon was a doctor and was devoted to his patients. He can see and appreciate the real Miranda and not just her beauty. It was such a clever book and I’m so glad that in the end Miranda was strong enough to go against her family. Now we are left wondering if there will be a happy ending for William, the Duke of Wycliffe.

Lady Miranda mother reduses to let her wed anyone whom she dont agree is worthy of her daughter station. Upon a carriage accident they get rescued by Dr.Astor ( Simon) . All miranda want is someone to see her for whom she ia past the beauty and her dowry.
Simon and Miranda fall in love but her mother still has schemes up her smeeve to try to force her daughter to wed a duke and as one stumbled thru Simons door his love might not be enough to wed his love.
Good book enjoyed Miranda finally growing a back bone.

This is an amazingly wonderful, heartwarming, beautifully written story! First time reading anything by this author and it won’t be my last. What began as a an accidental meeting between Miranda and Simon. What began as an accident, ended up being very fortuitous. In spite of scheming family and social mores, will love ever find its way through the muck and social trappings? More importantly, can Miranda find someone who’ll love her for who she is? By the end, I felt extremely satisfied and you will too!

This is such a wonderful quick read and I thought the story so charming and the main characters so loveable. We first met Lady Miranda Cheswick in “Misadventures With A Duke” and she was not very likeable so I love how the author has redeemed her in this story. As for her mother….omigosh, what a greedy and conniving woman, ugh!! I wish someone would have locked her in a room and forgotten her there! lol As for Dr. Simon Astor, what a delicious hero he makes!!
Both Miranda and Simon feel instant attraction to each other and Simon wants to court her but Miranda’s mother has other plans for her and does her best to get her own way. I found the ending a bit abrupt and wish there would have been an epilogue to tie in the story but apart from that, this was truly a delightful read.

Will this unlikely pair be able to get past Miranda’s family’s expectations of her or will this be the end to their relationship?
This is a well written novella. I breezed through this book. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
This book gets 4.5 of 5.0 stars for plot, story line and characterization.
