A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson Abbott. This is the story of Emma Louise Fallon aka Elf. Elf has decided to not participate in Christmas this year. She is planning on spending the holidays with her friend in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Elf is super excited until she gets half way there and her friend has to cancel. Elf decides to go ahead and stay a couple of days. Once she gets to the town its the oddest thing, the store keepers Mr. & Mrs. Claus seem to already know her and the cop/martian who stops her can’t even speak. As she gets to the cabin it is literally in the middle of nowhere and she starts to become concerned wondering if she can manage it all. She does quite well with some help from a stray cat she names Sue. She’s decided the cat and town are magical. Once she meets the Cop/Veterinarian Rudi sparks fly both in attraction and aggravation. They soon work it all out and the rest is magic. Such a fun sweet read.

If you are looking for a wonderful Christmas short story, look no further. Allyson Abbott has written (in my opinion) a nice short story, A Prickly Christmas Kiss. This story is such a sweet story about a small town romance with a cabin, a wonderful holiday season, and even some holiday furry animals. I personally love Allyson Abbott’s stories as they are fun and realistic stories. Her characters can be a part of my world. I really feel close to them. In this story, I love Elf (Emma Louise Fallon). I want her to be my best friend. She is trying to keep everything on the low down, but she is having a heck of a time. I hope you take the time to sit down and bond with Elf.

Emma Louise Fallon or more affectionately known as ELF is planning on a Christmas vacation in a cabin outside of North Polerton with her friend Carla. Carla calls with car trouble so she won’t be able to come. ELF ventures on by herself. On the way she stops in Polerton to get gas and meet a couple who she thinks are Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Once she get to the cabin she can’t believe how rustic it is. No light or heat or running water. A stray cat showed up and he seemed to help ELF when she needed it most. She starting thinking of him as a magical cat. She met a cop/town vet named Rudi with a swollen nose. He thought to help her survive out in the cabin and show her how to keep warm.
This was a cute Christmas story with a little bit a magic in it. I enjoyed the way the author made the town like the North Pole. Including all kinds of characters that would be involved with Santa. I was even suspicious of the random reindeer in the forest.
A Prickly Christmas Kiss, by Allyson R. Abbott, is a seasonal treat for the holiday season. The character names, location and theme truly give a feel for the holiday season. From the beginning, the author has provided a story that just blankets you with the pages as you read. From the soul(s) that are disenchanted, to the paths that feel as if fate is pushing forward, and just the magical time of year – it all adds together to give this story just the perfect mix of warmth and seasonal joy. The addition of some comedic moments throughout gave just enough to the story not to feel over done. I absolutely adored ELF’s character and her personality, she really made this story fun, as well as, all the supporting characters.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss By Allyson Abbott is an amazingly wonderful Christmas Romance short story that I absolutely loved. I couldn’t put it down once I started. It’s very heart warming story about Emma aka Elf.Instead of Elf dealing with her family and the questions she knows they will ask she decides to spend two weeks in a cabin with her best Friend. When her friend can’t come what will Elf do? Will she stay or leave? Will she be able to do learn to build a fire and survive the storm? Elf has some company, a stray cat has decided to keep her company. When the local vet stops by what happens? Can Elf stay away from him? There is definitely attraction. Find out what happens with Elf I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

The story A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful holiday romance book that I loved reading. I found myself lost in the pages and feeling the magic and spirit of Christmas. I loved the character of Emma Louise Fallon or aka “Elf.” Elf’s plans for the holiday are changed when her girlfriend suddenly is not able to come to the cabin they were going to vacation at. She decides to still go to the cabin as planned and spend time on her own. What she doesn’t expect is how much work it will be in order to keep warm and maintain. When she stops in town she believes and has suspicions as to who a couple is that she meets and then there is Rudi, the part-time veterinarian, and cop, who she finds very attractive. What does this Christmas season hold for Elf? Will she spend it on her own or does the magic that comes along with the season have different plans for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is perfect to read around this time of year and had me either smiling or laughing out loud in some parts. I love when an animal is written into a story, so I loved reading about the stray cat that decides to keep Elf company. I would highly recommend this book.
I just went on a total reading binge and poured through both Allyson R. Abbott’s A Prickly Christmas Kiss and her A Tangy Christmas Kiss. What can I say, they were like the sweetest of chocolates for a choco-holic (which I am, by the way). And that’s not even counting the fact that they are Christmas romances and I totally adore (truly deeply adore) Christmas romances. Read the publisher’s blurb for a perfectly good synopsis of what these stories about that doesn’t spoil anything. I frankly don’t know which story or which couple I love the most, though Elf and Rudi will probably stick with me most due to how Emma views the world, magical cat, Mr & Mrs Claus, Martian and all. Whether set in a small town or Spain these stories all grab the heart and are a wonder to read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – each of these books definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely “one to read”. It is amazingly easy to highly recommend all of them.
