This is a wonderful series. I have not been able to stop. I’m now on book 7 in the series. Highly recommend.
I had never read this author before so was pleasantly surprised at the depth of her character development. I read all of the three Prairie Heritage collection books. The trials and tribulations of the immigrants of the 1800’s were realistically developed; not every problem was solved with a “happily ever after” solution. Some of the family members learned endurance with God’s grace throughout a trial was the only answer to survival. The third in the series featured Joy, the daughter of Rose and Jan in the original series. Plan to read more of this author.
I found these books really uplifting and enjoyed the scripture. I would have given it four stars however in the first and second books there was so much duplication…at least half.
Enjoyed the whole series
I love the stories in the books.. Hard to put them down. Nice to read how hard the times were when going across country to get free land to homestead!
I loved the whole series. Hard to put down.
A very good outcome from a tragic start. Good story from start to finish.
I love books that are built around generational family. They show what happens in the life of the family, not just a single event. If you get this 3 in one book, read the 2nd book first, then the first book and then the 3rd book. There is a 4th book that I intend to get as soon as possible. It has love, disappointment, pain, and joy, – all the things that happen in a family over time.
Great series. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed this book very much. Good story and likeable characters. Christian themed. Will be reading other books by this author.
Saga of frontier America through early 1900’s in one family’s adventures, tragedies, romances and faith!
It was a good read
A great Christian read.
Start with the first book, and just keep going. Each book is even better when you’ve got the whole background and know all the characters. Love Vikki Kestell’s writing!
This book was three of an eight book series. The three titles are A Rose Blooms Twice, Wild heart on the Prairie, and Joy on this mountain. There are all written by Vikki Kestell. It is a Christian fictional story about people coming from Norway in the 1800’s and settling on the prairie. The stories take you through several families lives up to the 1900’s. Between the three books you see these families go from pioneer times to the beginnings of larger cities such as Denver, Colorado. The third book deals with a subject that is still appropriate today–human trafficking. The stories have many twists to them and you will want to keep reading.
I really loved this whole series of books. It is clean and very inspiring.
Excellent series!
I really enjoy reading books about the prairie times, and this was an especially enjoyable series.
Widow moves west and becomes Christian. A clean story of love developing between widow and a widower.
Clean-very good
