I enjoyed returning to Pineydale, Tennessee! I admired Whitney Hamilton for returning to the scene of her previous poor choices to care for her mother who is showing signs of dementia. Although Whitney was sorry for her past, she found it difficult to ask for God’s forgiveness. Jeremy Cunningham is the younger brother of Whitney’s old boyfriend and six younger than her but attraction is still there. I liked that Jeremy was not afraid to pray and talk about God. He set a wonderful Christian example. I enjoyed visiting Europe with Whitney and Jeremy when their boss (Jeremy’s uncle Graham) sent them on a business trip. I recommend A Place to Find Love to anyone who enjoys down home contemporary fiction. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Whitney used to date Jimmy (Jeremy’s older brother) and Mitch (Jeremy’s cousin). Years ago when Jimmy and Whitney dated her parents didn’t seem to approve of Jimmy so they kept throwing her and Mitch together. She ended up sleeping with Jimmy while she was still with Mitch. Then when Jimmy got married she tried to come between him and his wife.
Now Jeremy has decided to work with his Uncle Garrett and he finds himself thrown into working with Whitney. Despite the warnings of everyone around him, will he end up loving Whitney or hating her like the other Cunningham men say they do.
He kept help but wonder when Whitney looks at him does she see Jeremy or Jimmy.
Read the book you won’t be disappointed.
You never know what the future might hold, especially for Whitney Hamilton who is caring for her mother with dementia. Merrillee Whren writes a page turning story that includes international travel to Germany, the Netherlands and Brussels with intriguing sights, cuisine, language, culture, traditions and history. Jeremy delights in his first international trip. You can get chocolate anywhere, but not Schnitzel. How true. In the first third of the book Whitney’s and Jeremy’s thoughts on why they aren’t suited for each other is repetitive. The last third of the book reveals an unexpected twist. The ending was unique and fitting. This German American enjoyed being an arm chair traveler to her homeland.
I enjoyed this story so much. This story takes you along for the ride, puts you into the characters lives and secrets, and leaves you on edge wondering what was going to happen next. The author has such a gift for getting the reader right to the heart of things. A wonderful story about Whitney who had a troubled past, her old boyfriend Jimmy and new coworker Jeremy who is Jimmy’s little brother. Can Jeremy ever get out of the shadows of his brother and be his own person. Jeremy has a lot of faith in God and prayer and Whitney questions her faith. Can they both move beyond the past and look for a future together? Will a shockingly revealed secret ruin things for them? This book was hard to put down and it will grip you emotionally. I will be looking for more from this amazing author. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A wonderful story of forgiveness for past mistakes, the people hurt by them and finding an unexpected love. Whitney is ashamed of her past actions with her ex boyfriends who happen to be related. She is so embarrassed to show her face around their family and spouses. When she gets sent on a business trip with Jeremy a younger brother of the ex, she doesn’t expect a deep connection with him. But first she must learn to place her trust in God and accept forgiveness so she can move on with Jeremy. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Learning from the past can provide help when dealing with the present situation. Taking care of her mother and living a busy life, Whitney has decisions to make. A secret has the possibility of holding a bright future filled with love. I enjoyed this story. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
“A Place to Find Love” by Merrillee Whren
Loved this contemporary sweet clean romance story. I received an ARC from the author with the request for an honest review. So here goes. This is an easy read, with 1. lots of twists and turns 2. Some business travel to Europe. 3.two characters doing quite a bit of self-talking. 4. The sharing of faith. 5. And a big surprise (at least a surprise to me) near the end of the story. If you like clean sweet romance stories… I think you will really, really, like this story, too. Happy Reading ! !
It’s always interesting in a book series when an antagonist gets a book of her own and finally turns her life around and becomes a good person after all! Not that she was a really bad person in the other books, she just made some bad decisions and it effected some main characters in those books in a bad way! That’s what happened to Whitney and in this book, we get her background. We find out how much she wants to change and why she has to come back to the small town she never wanted to see again – her mother has taken ill and is showing signs of dementia. A hard thing to deal with! She has a great job with a lot of travel but she needs to find someone to watch her mother. Then, there is Jeremy, who is her ex-boyfriend’s brother who is now working for the company she works for and she’ll be working closely with him, including going on international trips with him! Not uncomfortable at all! Although they’ve known each other for many years, it’s different now that they work together. Jeremy wants to be taken seriously for once, instead of the young kid he’s always been thought of. This story has many twists and makes you think about how you would handle different situations if you were put into them yourself. I enjoyed the characters and the story. I hope you will too! I’m sorry to see this series end!
