Zoe McInnes is used to the stares. The whispers. They started when she and her sisters were young – the triplet daughters of a famous father. Now, the people of Spruce Lake watch her for a different reason – they think she murdered her husband. When her former father-in-law has a stroke, Zoe is blamed. When she’s thrown in jail, the man she assumes was sent by her attorney turns out to be the … to be the stroke victim’s son – and her former husband’s brother. She’s appalled by her attraction to Gideon Tate. Horrified to find that he’s equally attracted to her. There’s no way she’d get involved with another Tate.
She and her sisters are trying to rebuild their ruptured relationship, and Zoe insists she’s not interested in Gideon. But she finds herself spending more and more time with him. Could Mr. Wrong be Mr. Right?

Kept me turning the pages,enjoyable
Once again a good story has alot of sex in it. I realize the writer is writing for a certain age group and I’m not in that group. LOL! I skipped the sex and read the story written around it. Very entertaining and interesting.
The author handles tough issues in a believable, entertaining way. Great characters!
Keep them coming, Ms. Watson! Another surprising read by Margaret Watson, A Place Called Home, may not be what you expect but it definitely is a great romance. There are other books with the same name, so remember Margaret Watson. Zoe is a triplet now running a shelter for abused women. Gideon is her former brother-in-law and also an Assistant DA. He blamed Zoe for his brother’s murder and his father’s trip to the hospital. An unlikely pairing, that’s for sure. The sparks fly for the two of them after meeting at the jail. Each has to put their own misguided past behind them in order to finally find a place called home.
Interesting characters. I had trouble believing that a woman who experienced domestic violence and ultimately killed her husband could fall in love with her husband’s brother. And of course I had trouble believing the brother, who believed for years that his sister-in-law killed his brother, could put aside his hatred for her and fall in love. But after I suspended my disbelief, I enjoyed the story. I particularly enjoyed the family dynamics between the triplets.
Enjoyed it.
Good book!
A good read
Highly unlikely. Couldn’t suspend disbelief
Very good
Very well written.
liked it and would read others by same author
Triplets
This is a great beginning to this series. It deals with many different issues that need to be talked about. Domestic violence is scary. But out is great that there are people to help. And that violence comes in different forms. This is also a story of healing of 3 sisters who were controlled by their dad.
Just started reading but always look for this Author when browsing for books. Reading is my retirement gift to
myself. !!
I just couldn’t get into. Maybe you can
This story was part of a three sister story line. Although you can read the books separately, it’s always more fun to continue the family line together. Thought each book was interesting in its own edit. Keeps the reader wanting to know more. Sheds some light on social issues but not heavy or opinionated.
I liked it very much . Clean reading and still held my interest!!!
Pretty good. I believe I will get more in this series.
Great book, interesting characters! A good read!
I love reading Christmas stories that have happy endings. Especially ones that leave you feeling the Christmas spirit!
