Most people would probably be embarrassed to land themselves back in their hometown and working at a pizzeria after an ugly divorce. Not me.It’s home, and I have one last shot to make Wren Daniels see me as more than just her brother’s best friend. When the opportunity to show her what’s been right in front of her this whole time presents itself, I take it, holding nothing back this time.Wren … nothing back this time.
Wren thinks we’re pretending, but there’s nothing fake about the way I feel.
After all, she’s always had…a pizza my heart.

Pizza My Heart has me craving pizza all of a sudden and had me smiling, swooning, falling head over heels for our hero and heroine. It was a light, funny, loving story that fills a reader up with pure unadulterated happiness. The story is charming, cute and sweet and the story flowed so nicely with no hidden angles or twists. It was a straight up easy to follow romance that is all about the lightness and fun. Looking forward to the next one cause I know its going to be just as good if not better!
Pizza My Heart gets a MOUTHWATERING FOUR DELICIOUS STARS!
Omg this book was so great! Grab your favorite pizza, onion rings & enjoy this delicious book!
4.5
A Pizza My Heart is a standalone friends to lovers romance by the queen of romcom. This author continually brings me to tears with the hilarity of her books.
Foster and Wren’s starts as a friendship that has lasted forever and when a second chance for them to see if more is possible, they…well she is. Foster though takes some convincing. When more their friendship is in the line, they must decide to go in fully or walk away as friends….
If romcom, brothers best friend, friends to lovers is your thing, then grab up this book ASAP. It will not disappoint and provides everything that I look for in a book!
I don’t think I could love this book any harder!
In typical “Hunter” fashion, you are completely sucked in from page 1, completely invested in the characters and the story, and anxious to see where it goes. It’s sexy and sassy, and it made me laugh out loud more than a few times.
Wren is easily relatable, she’s sassy and has a lot of spunk and fire, while Foster is swoon-worthy and every woman’s dream. The slow burn between the two of them had me yelling at my kindle, telling Wren to pull her head out of her backside and telling Foster not to be so darn chicken. But it was so worth the wait.
This story was incredible. So well written and it flowed so easily. I have yet to read a book from Ms. Hunter that I didn’t like and this is my top read of 2019! It has everything! I have nothing bad to say about this book except that I want more!
Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! Though it deserves a whole lot more!
Hunter’s signature humor meets brother’s best friend, second chance, and friends to lovers, and I couldn’t love it more! Wren and Foster’s spark is visible immediately and you can’t help but hang on to the edge of your seat waiting for Wren to see it too. All-around feel good Rom-Com that makes for a perfect summer day read!
I love the title of this book. A pizza my heart. That’s such a cute pun! This book is fun and so sweet. If you want a drama free book then definitely pick this one up. Foster and Wren have been friends for years but shortly after Foster admitted that he was in love with Wren and she “friend zoned” him he took off and married someone else. While I understand his reasonings I also think he was stupid for making that decision. But I also think him and Wren needed that time apart. I loved Wren. She was feisty and head strong. But she was also scared and that made loving Foster even more difficult. These two were perfect for each other and everyone could see it but Wren. I even loved that Wren’s mom spoke up. What a great memory. This was definitely an enjoyable book!
A Pizza My Heart is downright adorable. This book had be giggling, swooning, and cheering on the characters from beginning to end. I loved Wren and Foster! I love how they had a connection years ago that wasn’t acknowledged but later rekindled. I love how easy their love story was; there wasn’t any unnecessary drama or over the top issues to ruin the book. And I absolutely fell hard for the secondary characters! I cannot wait for Drew’s story next! She had me laughing uncontrollably! Ladies and gent’s this is a wonderful story and I devoured it in one day! I think many will agree that this series is going to be a total hit!
A Pizza My Heart is a standalone novel in the Slice series. Each book will be interconnected but have their own love stories. I think for best reading experience interconnected standalones should still be read in order, but that’s just my opinion. If you want to familiarize yourself from characters that will appear throughout the series then I definitely recommend starting with this one- it’s too good to be missed anyway!
A Pizza My Heart is an entertaining, lighthearted read where pizza plays a BIG part in the story! If you’re a pizza lover, a romance lover, and/or romcom lover you won’t want to miss this one! I recommend it!
Teagan Hunter
5 stars
5 hilarious stars!! Teagan Hunter doesn’t have a piece of my heart, she has it all with her newest laugh out loud book, Pizza My Heart! I fell in love with her books in the Texting series, which I still go back and re-read and Pizza My Heart was just as hilarious and adorable.
Foster has been in love with his best friend’s little sister for years now but after being seriously friend zoned, he moved on… And then had to move back when his ill-fated marriage fell apart. Living on his best friend’s couch, working at their pizzeria, one would think he’d have his tail tucked firmly between his legs but he sees this as an opportunity. It’s his opportunity to get everything he walked away from back; an opportunity to claim Wren as his own.
Wren missed Foster like you’d miss a limb but only because he’s like a brother to her (Not!). Having him back in town does her little heart good, until her heart starts beating faster every time she sees him, or touches him, or thinks of him touching her! He might be her best friend but that’s not all he is.
I adore all things Foster and Wren!! (Oh and Teagan Hunter, she’s on my must read list!!) These two were perfection! Hilarious and heartfelt! I fell for all the characters in this book; brothers, dads, best friends, dogs! I love that I can feel that these aren’t just characters to this author, I’m convinced they’re real people in her life. The utter ridiculousness, the banter, etc it just feels so real! I can’t wait for Drew’s story (and anything else Hunter wants to write!)
AnnMarie – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
WOW! I seriously fell in love with the author’s previous series The Texting Series, I was looking forward to more and boy did she deliver. This book was hilarious and heartwarming, we have Wren who is working hard at her family’s pizzeria but her heart is working at her salon doing hair, Foster is her bestfriend/brother’s bestfriend who left without a word and returned newly divorced. I don’t want to give too much away but these two together made me laugh so hard I snorted because their banter just flows so well. All the side characters are fantastic as well and bring so much to the story. It’s the perfect summer read that will have you laughing out loud and swooning so hard. I have a feeling this series will be just as amazing and popular as the others.
A mix of some of my favorite tropes: fake dating, brother’s best friend and a hint of second chance romance made this one a fun and sexy read.
As with all the Teagan books I’ve binged the past few months, this one lives up to her romcom standard. You get immediate laughs that last from start to finish. Foster and Wren are the perfect couple to get lost in.
Oblivious to her feelings and well aware of his, they make for an interesting pair. One working a denial while the other is professing it subtly. Their chemistry was off the charts and who better to fall for than someone who you’ve known for so long? Teagan writes such relatable characters/stories that make you feel like you’ve stepped into real deal romcom setting and are watching them make their romantic choices.
Supporting characters keep you entertained with a whole different angle of crazy. A fun and lighthearted tale of a boy falling for his best friend’s sister.
“Because you and I, Wren— we’re bound to happen. Whether you want it or not, you have a piece of my heart , and I don’t want it back.”
Nothing like being able to start over. After a traumatic divorce in sunny California, all Foster wants is to return to his hometown and return to being himself. And a series of first frustrated dates will only make him remember his feelings for his best friend’s twin sister.
Wren works in the family pizzeria, but also has her own business as a hairdresser. She rented the blue house with which she had dreamed since childhood, and everything in her life is peaceful. Until the arrival of Foster, who awakens memories that leave her feelings confused.
And what begins as a co-worker’s idea to solve the problem of both, may be the chance that Foster hoped to make Wren see that together, they can be so much more than just friends. She is confused and he no longer wants to hide his feelings. Between his sincerity and her reluctance a new story may start.
The story is light and has its own rhythm, which, although not quick and full of events, is consistent with the construction of the narrative. The interactions between Foster and Wren have temptation written in each scene. Flirting is natural and the mood present is smooth and leaves a smile on the face throughout the reading. A lightweight book to warm and cheer the heart. Perfect for lovers of a good romance.

A Pizza My heart didn’t just didn’t take a piece it took the whole pie! I love all Teagan’s words! She did not disappoint with this one. Another 5 stars from me.
Wren and Foster are a sort of a second chance romance/meets rom-com. They have undeniable chemistry, but are not over the top fantasy love. They are relatable, realistic and hilarious. I feel like I could walk into the Pizzeria and be a part of their lives. I cannot wait for more!
This is a must read for all those that love light hearted yet realistic rom-coms with HEA’s!!!
WELL DONE!!
Grab a slice of your favorite pie and dig in to Teagan Hunter’s A Pizza My Heart! This was a super fun friends to lovers rom com with a delicious slow burn that will easily snag your heart and keep you turning page after page.
Wren and Foster had been best friends, but when he declares his love to her, and she doesn’t realize that’s what is really happening, Foster decides he can’t stay in their small town any longer when his feelings for Wren are so strong and unrequited.
Years later, and after a very messy marriage and divorce, Foster is back. He still has it bad for Wren. And, for the first time in her life, Wren is feeling more than friendly towards Foster. But, is it worth the risk of losing her best friend again to see if there could be more to their relationship?
I loved this couple. Foster and Wren were super cute together. I loved their snark and banter. It was an easy relationship, until Wren started to feel the attraction, and the awkwardness and fear of moving from friends to lovers felt very real to me as a reader.
This slow burn romance was fated to be. Even as far back as highschool, others could see these two needed to be together. I adored that everyone saw it happening except for Wren. She was the last to see what was in front of her, which made for some sweet and awkward moments in the book that were really enjoyable.
A Pizza My Heart was a sweet and flirty rom com that will leave you smiling ear to ear and wanting the next couple served up asap. 5 stars.
Oh, A Pizza My Heart, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
1, 2, 3, …7854136971599.
**HILARIOUS
**SEXY AS ALL GET OUT
**MADE MY HEART GO PITTER-PAT
Foster and Wren? Made for each other.
Winston and Drew? Maybe they are too… (Hey, I rhymed!) <--See what I did there? Read the book, you'll get it.
A Pizza My Heart is an amazingly written brother’s-best-friend love story that will make you laugh out loud and warm your heart. This fantastic story is about family bond, friendships, miscues, and second chances…
“One day, Foster. She’ll see you one day.”
I couldn’t wait to get my greasy fingers on this book! From the title, to Marine Mike laying it out there, to the amazing cover pictures, to being written by the fantastic Teagan Hunter…any way you “slice” it, there were already high expectations diving into this…and boy she “deliver!” The mind reading…OMG! I laughed so hard!
“Pickle juice. Donkey Kong. Camel toe.”
There was minimal drama, “saucy” sex scenes that were hotter than a pizza oven, so many hilarious moments, and this book flowed so amazingly well! The characters…holy pepperoni! The characters were all so terrific! I loved the character relationships and how the author intermixed them all! I absolutely enjoyed this book SO much and I am not sure how Teagan Hunter can “top” this one, but I cannot wait for Drew and Winston’s book, I Knead You Tonight!!!! Sorry…hopefully this review wasn’t too “cheesy.” 5 stars!!!
I absolutely love Foster. Foster’s unrequited love for Wren drives him away for years. Now he’s back and dating. Wren sees Foster and starts thinking of him in ways she never thought of him before. They start fake dating and things take off from there. Will Wren finally return his feelings? Will she forgive him for leaving without a word? Great story, love them together. I can’t wait for Drew’s story. Definitely recommend.
I received a advanced readers copy and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
God, I love this author’s writing so much! Her female characters are hilarious, snarky, and independent. The things that come out of Wren’s mouth made me laugh out loud.
Wren is a busy woman; living the dream of being a hair stylist out of the salon in the house of her dreams and working at her family’s pizza restaurant to afford said salon.
One night while working at Slice, Wren is shocked to her core when Foster Marlett comes in…on a date. Foster has been like a second brother to her since she was a kid, at least until he left town abruptly, moving to California without even a goodbye. She’s even more shocked when he brings in more dates, always sitting in her section, always with the same order. Foster needs dating help and when Wren gets volunteered for the job, Foster can’t believe his luck; the girl he’s been in love with since they were kids is going to show him how to date and he can’t think of anyone better for the job!
This book had some of the best banter, and not only between the two main characters, but also between Wren and her brother and best friend. And while we’re on that topic, I CAN’T WAIT for the next book in this series!
A Pizza My Heart is a fun friends to lovers/brother’s best friend romance. Teagan Hunter always makes me laugh while reading her books. I loved this one to pieces.
Foster Marlett has been friends with the Daniels twins for a long time. As he got older, his friendship with Wren turned into more. For him at least. Wren was, well, oblivious. Not wanting to mess up the friendship, he went off and got with someone else. That turned into a marriage then later a divorce. Maybe it was inevitable though. She wasn’t Wren.
Now that Foster is back in town, Wren is starting to see him in a different light. Foster is trying to get back out there and doing an awful job of it. So Wren helps him out. By fake dating him. You see where this is going, right? Gah! I love the fake dating troupe. It’s always the best. It was only a matter of time before those ‘fake dates’ turned into something very real.
Wren is the kind of heroine I love. Sassy with no filter and a huge heart. Foster was a nice guy who had been hurt, but was picking up the pieces. He was also super funny. I think he made me laugh more than anyone in the book. I loved watching that little light bulb in Wren’s head go off and having her see Foster the way he had always seen her. Swoooon.
I also loved the family dynamic of this story. Wren’s brother Winston was a hoot and I adored their dad. Much of this book takes place in Wren’s dad’s pizzeria. Wren’s bff was also great. After getting the sneak peak of the next book in this series… I’m dying for it!!
This was a sweet, steamy, and easy read. I love Teagan’s brand of humor. If you’re looking for a great friends to lovers romance, I recommend checking this one out!
