For the past year, talented chef Millie has been consumed with running her new catering business with her sisters, Dru and Tasha. It isn’t until Jackson walks through their door that she realizes something may be missing in the recipe of her life. For the past year, Jackson has been dealing with the fallout of his wife’s abandonment. He’s had to learn how to be a single father to their … their eight-year-old daughter, and will do anything to fill the void her mother left. It isn’t until he commissions Millie for his daughter’s birthday party that he realizes he’s forgotten that he’s not only a father, but a man.
They both think they’re content in their lives, but sometimes the right amount of spice can turn an okay dish into a magnificent one. A Pinch of Salt may be all that’s needed to bring Millie and Jackson the flavor they’ve been missing.

Easy fun Read. I am enjoying the rest of the series
It was very interesting
Really enjoyed this book and all the characters. Like reading a Hallmamark movie!
did not like the graphic sex
Very cute story. I ended up getting the next two in the series.
Great reading
It was nice to read a love story that didn’t go crazy with sex scones. I have my own imagination. I don’t need the details in writing.
Great writing. Loved the story. It was a page turner fun loving story. Thank you
A quick cute read. Jackson and Millie are charming and make you hope for a happy ending. Enjoyable if slightly predictable.
A love story that has a few hurdles to overcome that are so realistic the author did an amazing job. Single parents definitely have it hard when trying to move on and yet take their child’s feelings into consideration as well. I loved this book and will definitely be listening to the next!
Such a sweet story and apart from one or two ‘sexy’ scenes, a clean one. I loved Jackson & Millie. They are perfect for one another. Caring, hard working, just good all around people with clear priorities and goals.
I look forward to hearing more Millies sisters and the others in their small group of friends.
Melanie Ewbank did a great job narrating an DC portraying God characters. The emotions throughout were clearly demonstrated.
I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.
Oh my sweetness! A Pinch if Salt was the sweetest book I’ve ever read! Millie the baker and chef of her sisters catering company not looking for love at all but a desperate dad needing a tea party for his daughter changed all that. Jackson, the sweet and adorable English teacher navigating single parenthood was perfect for Millie. Lots of sweetness in this book with the perfect break up and make up scenes. I’m so excited to read about Tasha next!
A Pinch Of Salt
Great characters and a really emotional story with several twists from the start up to the end
I had the opportunity to listen to A Pinch of Salt by Bethany Lopez, the first book in her Three Sisters Catering about sisters, Millie, Dru and Tasha. Narrated by Melanie Ewbank, this is Millie and Jackson’s story and it was sweet romance with a bit of angst.
Millie has been content running her business with her sisters and then one day Jackson walks into her life. Millie was sweet and caring and when Jackson came into her business asking for help, she was ready to help him. Jackson and his daughter, Kayla, have been dealing with the result of his wife leaving. He has been taking care of his daughter and ensuring she is okay. But when he meets Millie, he realizes what he has been missing.
A Pinch of Salt by Bethany Lopez was a sweet and charming romance with a bit of drama and angst. Jackson and Millie have great chemistry but have some obstacles to face during the course of their relationship as well.
Happy listening!
Millie and her sister’s have been working really hard building their catering business and storefront. Jackson has been trying to put his and his daughter’s life back together after his wife walked out on them. Jackson walks into Millie’s shop to see about scheduling a tea party for Kayla’s birthday and for some reason she takes the job. Millie decides she will actually take care of the entire party and normally she just does the food. Can a pinch of salt add enough spice?
This was my first Bethany Lopez book and what a sweet introduction. I loved these characters and am looking forward to book 2. The story is very real and relatable.
This was a lovely story with normal everyday people, no model’s or an alpha males in sight. How refreshing! Jackson is a high school literature teacher and Millie is a chef for Three Sister Catering. I’d call this one smitten at first sight, when Jackson flashes his dimples and gets a pity catering job out of Millie for his nine year old daughter Kayla. His wife abandoned them the year before and he’s determined to give K the party she deserves. Millie is helpless against the tall teacher with dimples and glasses, he’s just her type.
Nothing’s perfect all the time and this is no exception. There is some mama drama and Kayla isn’t handling things well at all. I got my HEA and I’m a happy girl. I need cake!
I enjoyed the family and friend connections as well. Millie has two sisters and Jackson has a group of buddies and family as well. They all contribute and make a wonderfully rounded story.
Talk about an emotional roller coaster. Well written and immersive. Definitely would recommend this book.
“Sometimes a pinch of salt is all you need…”
This was the first book I read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a fun light read and the characters were great. So many romantic moments that I was melting and swooning throughout the book.
Wonderful romance with a single father with a
Recalcitrant child against her father finding love.
Rate: “Sometimes a pinch of salt is all you need to take something bland, and make it absolutely delicious,” @bethanylopez2 did it again! I was awarded this book a few months back by following Bethany on Facebook. I have fallen in love with every book I pick up that Bethany writes. This book is gets you in all the feels Romance, internal struggle and family ties. With that in mind it’s easy to relate to the characters and you start rooting for them right from the start! I enjoy that Bethany brings a topic into this story and shows the struggles a step parent may encounter or just someone “new” entering a strong family bond. Thankfully this is part of a series so I do not have to go sulk for finishing the book. Off to amazon go purchase the next!
