You never forget your first love. No matter how hard you try.Darren Hayes, her once-best friend, has been gone longer than Melody Boyer, can remember. Well, that’s a lie. He’s been gone four years, eleven months, three weeks and two days. Since Christmas Eve: the night they took their friendship to the next level. He rocked her world and made all her fantasies come true only to leave her behind … her behind in Hudson Heights to see the world through his lens.
And now he’s back, Mr. famous photographer walking into town like he didn’t destroy her world years ago. Showing up on her doorstep asking for forgiveness and a chance to be friends again. But friends don’t kiss like he kisses her goodbye… and when he proposes they become friends with benefits and see what develops, Melody can’t help but wonder what the negatives are. Can she agree to these terms and have the best sex of her life anytime she wants, no strings attached? Or will Darren capture her heart only to break it all over again?
If you like over-the-top romance with a hint of Christmas and some tantalizing sexy times in between, then this delicious treat is for you.

Our happy little couple tied the knot
Finally!
It seems though that Darren may have forgotten to share some small details
with his lovely new bride Ones that require full disclosure.
Melody, well, she is still wandering a bit with her head in the clouds.
Can Darren find the “right” time to share his secrets
or will Melody uncover them before he gets the chance?
If she does will their whirlwind re-connection and marriage stand a chance?
This picks up right after the Christmas Wedding.
This is the definition of a sweet romance –
All the simple things that make the breath pause and the heart skip a beat.
Melody and Darren are a perfect fit together.
A young couple that has the opportunity to create their dreams -Together.
Best friends and now partners.
I am looking forward to the upcoming novel
Hopefully, all the in-between stuff will be present
I do wish this had been longer.
Too many scenes felt like clips of post-wedding problems that had simple solutions.
It read a bit like random chapters pulled from their life instead of a constant thread.
A problem arose – A solution was presented – Problem solved.
A problem arose – A solution was presented – Problem solved.
Many times they were not interconnected just out of the blue issues.
I wanted the in-between stuff! I am greedy like that.
This was a really quick read. I liked that they got their HEA but I felt Melody give in way to quick. She should have made Darren work a little harder for her forgiveness.
This book pulled me in and kept me entranced till the end. The feelings of love, hate, and pain coming out in waves making you want to cry while you read. This was such a beautiful book! I loved the characters wholesomeness!

A novella filled with friends to lovers, lots of steam and second chances. Darren and Melody had me rooting for them. Looking forward to the sequel!
I think this one was a freebie, but I’m on a Christmas novella kick! So Melody and Darren have been best friends since the 5th grade. After a very rough high school party, Darren manages to royally break Melody’s heart. Four years later, Darren realizes that he is never going to get over his best friend and sets out to win her back with some help from his assistant. Whats a little Christmas magic in New York between friends?
4 star review of A Picture Perfect Christmas by JP Uvalle
JP Uvalle is a new author to me. I love stories based around Christmas, it’s my most favourite holiday of the year.
This is a second chance at love story about Darren Hayes and Melody Boyer who were once best friends. She has been in love with him for years but he had no idea, until one night changed their relationship.
However, Melody was destroyed when Darren left town the next day leaving her behind. Fast forward 5 years and he is now back in Hudson Heights wanting to pick up where they left off. Is a friends with benefits relationship going to be enough for Melody?
Can Melody forgive him for leaving so abruptly? The chemistry between them is smoking hot but what if that is all that lies between them? Is it enough? Sometimes you can’t see what is right in front of you and Darren is certainly blind.
This is a short, fast paced novella and whilst I enjoyed the story, I found it a little hard to connect with Darren and Melody at times.
This is the first book I have read by this author and if I’m totally honest the reason I was drawn to it was because it’s set in the wonderful magical holiday season. I love Christmas and I love Christmas romances and A Picture Perfect Christmas was just what the doctor ordered, it hit all the right notes and I’m left wondering why I haven’t come across this author before now.
Darren Hayes and Melody Boyer were once best friends but that was before he left town after one fateful night of passion, he left without giving her a reason why so why is he back now and after 5 years of healing will her heart be broken again, Darren may be looking to pick up where they left off but Melody has other ideas, this time around she wants more ……
This is a quick read but it still packs a mighty punch, sizzling chemistry and a second chance at love all wrapped up in the Christmas Spirit make this a enjoyable entertaining read.
He had rocked her world and she was so happy until he left leaving her behind. Now he is back and hoping for them to be what they had been. She is not so sure she wants that again. Will she give him another chance? Will it become more this time? See just how they get on
