Brooke:I’m ready for my happily ever after but I’m obviously incapable of telling the difference between a good man and a good f**k. What’s a girl to do when she can’t trust her own judgment? Let her bestie pick a husband for her of course! When my BFF finds a modern day matchmaker online, I break down and give it a shot. What have I go to lose, right? Except when my future husband looks more … future husband looks more like Mr. Rogers than Mr. Right I get cold feet.
Aiden’s a perfect gentleman but maybe I was hoping for something a little rougher around the edges.
Aiden:
I’m done playing the field.
I’m ready to start a family and I want a wife at my side who’s in it for the long haul. I’m sick of trying to find a good woman on my own. I want what my brother has, dammit.
He’s happy with his wife and they just announced their second baby’s on the way. I’m so jealous I can think straight. An arranged marriage worked for them.
That’s why I’m trusting Raven’s matchmaking services to find me the right woman. Brooke is that woman. The only woman for me and I know it as soon as I see her. But her friend tells me that Brooke’s done with guys like me so if I want her I’m going to have to convince her I’m not like those other guys.
I hate dressing up like a office monkey but I’ll be a perfect gentleman if that’s what it takes to get my ring on Brooke’s finger and my baby in her belly.

A Perfect Gentleman by Rocklyn Ryder I
This is Aiden and Brooke’s story.
Aiden is ready to start a family and trusts Raven’s matchmaking service to find him a wife. Brooke doesn’t trust her own judgement and listens to her best friend and signs up at Raven’s matchmaking service. Aiden and Brooke are paired together.
I was hooked from the beginning. A twist on an arranged marriage. This was a fun and steamy read. Will Aiden and Brooke take this chance at true love?
FYI, includes mature content.
Feeling envious of watching his brother and sister-in-law (and now their child) and the love that they have for one another, Aiden makes the choice. He is going to follow in his brothers footsteps and sign up on this website for arranged marriages. This is how his brother found his wife and they are a perfect match. Aiden has had enough playing the field and never getting where he wants to be….happily married and a family of his own. So here he sits filling out these thousands of questions for this site….here’s to hoping his match comes soon.
Bad boys, cheaters, and that crazy kind of thing turns Brooke on, and now off. Her last ex made her realize she is not willing to or wanting to go down this road again. She is done with this. Her BFF has heard it all before, so when Brooke joked about an arranged marriage, Paige found this website for arranged marriages and the process begins. How many questions and pages to this application are there anyways? Well if her reputation is as good as it sounds, maybe Brooke will have someone who lover her, and is looking for the same thing in return.
With this website the intended couples friends and family also are a huge part of picking out the best match for one another. Once there has been a match, there are rules to follow. Including one chaperoned meet up to break the ice. Aiden’s sister Lisa makes she he gets cleaned up nice, no showing any ink, no tossled hair or facial scruff, and he got stuck wearing khakis. None of this is how Aiden really dresses or looks, but hoping this will make a good impression to start with. Brooke’s friend quickly picks out a pink sweater to replace the see through blouse, makeup is toned downed to barely there, this a cleaned up almost librarian feel to this for Brooke, but she is willing to go through feeling this way in the clothes she is wearing if she is going to be rewarded so nicely with her future husband. One look from him to her and he is hooked. One look from her to him, and she is a little disappointed but finds that during this chaperoned get together she is attracted to Aiden.
Brooke sees two brunettes (at two separate times) appear on that meet that has pulled Aiden’s attention. Well she has been shot down. He barely speaks with her and he even stands by his sister than with Brooke. Point taken that he isn’t interested in her. So she does what she feels is best before this gets any further, she calls it off. Aiden is stunned when he hears that Brooke ended the contract. Why would she do that. He has to admit he was a bit nervous around her, and he wasn’t really himself either, being dressed and all differently than his comfortable casual self. He goes down to the bar to get his mind off of it a little, luck would have it Brooke was thinking that she needed to just move on. She is playing pool, or at least trying to when a guy and his minions don’t like that she is just wanting to finish the game. A fight starts. She is now being pulled out of that pool room through the bar and outside. The voice she hears causes her to feel her heart drop and melt.
Aiden wants answers, such as why. He recognizes they both have had a couple of drinks, nothing excessive, however they end up at his house. He needs to find out why and wants her to get cleaned up and then they will talk. He puts on some coffee. Then fireworks start, small at first. Things heat up quickly (in a very delicious way) and then the polar ice takes over, but there was a blast of warmth leading to fire that started. All the little things they both notice, once the truth is there and said, there is no turning back now. A little warning (nothing bad at all) though you are going to feel like you are going through this ride with them the entire time. There is a lot that happens and too yummy for you not to read this book and swoon too.
When I first started reading this book I liked the character Brooke right away. Thinking her “picker” was broken when picking guys. Some of us have the luck and some of us don’t. I felt for the characters right off the bat. It was like they were real people and I wanted to meet them and get to know them,
There was a twist in the book that was a little chuckle worthy and it also worked out for the best. There was plenty of heat in this book too. Don’t get me wrong, sure this may have been an arranged marriage book but there are plenty of hot moments in here that can make you sweat. There are also some sweet moments too as well as a comical moment or two.
Overall I was very happy with this book I just wish that the characters had a little more depth as well as the story.
Loved it
A fun, fast, and steamy love story. Brooke loves a bad boy. Ink, leather and a bike does it for her. At 26, she is ready to settle down and start a family. He bad boy doesn’t feel e same.
Aiden wants a family. His older sister and younger brother have found their soul mates. He wants that too.
Raven Swaan, professional matchmaker. With the help of trusted friends and family she pairs Brooke and Aiden. When they meet Aiden knows Brooke is his. Brooke isn’t so sure. When she calls it off. Aiden isn’t leaving until he knows why.
Loved Aiden and Brooke’s story.
Brooke wants a man who really loves her and will be in it for the long haul. After her last disappointing relationship, she turns to match maker extraordinaire, Raven Swan. The process involves filling out an extensive and intrusive questionnaire and choosing a team of people who know you best to pick your future husband from the final candidates that Raven finds. Aiden’s younger brother, Grant, had already found his true love, through Raven’s services, so when he has decides that he wants someone to love, who will love, him back a wife, home, family, children he also fills out the questionnaire. However, there first meeting doesn’t do very well, as their teams try to tune down who they really are, creating false impressions and due to some misunderstandings, Brooke calls off the wedding. But Swan’s matching manage to find their way to each other, despite them selves. I actually have read several of the subsequent stories and they are all fun and engaging, leaving the reader wondering, “why can’t there be a real Raven Swan”?
