Lewis has never been kissed.Omega penguin shifters aren’t allowed any physical contact with an alpha until their Pebble Gifting Season, when alphas present a pebble to their desired mate. Lewis has always followed the rules.Until he meets Todd. A polar bear shifter.Everyone knows that polar bear shifters are unreliable players who don’t mate for life. But Todd is breathtakingly beautiful, with a … breathtakingly beautiful, with a body as big as a mountain and a head of thick, white hair. Lewis can’t manage to look away.
In Anchorage Alaska where penguin shifters and polar bear shifters have been at odds for over a century, even a friendship between Todd and Lewis is forbidden. But as Lewis’s Pebble Gifting Season draws closer, their forbidden friendship turns into a passion neither of them can ignore.
A Pebble for Lewis is a 37,000-word best-friends-to-lovers romance with a size difference, knotting, and MPreg of the penguin egg variety. It’s set in the same world as the Heron Manor series, but it stands alone.

Wow. This was sooo good. I couldn’t stop reading. Lewis is a adorable penguin shifter and they are not to be touched by a alpha till pebble gifting season but he sets oyes on Todd a alpha polar bear shifter and he falls hard and fast. How can a love so right be wrong. Through the good and the bad will Todd and Lewis make it. Amazing cute romance. Can’t wait for more.
omg this was adorable.. it was soo sweet.. i loved to watch them become friends.. watching them try to navigate two totally different lives and families and friends was amazing.. this was just.. simply adorable and sweet and i loved it. i cannot wait for more alaskan shifters i hope..
OMG, what a lovely story! Amy has created a wonderful world. Sharing in the different customs of the characters, penguin and polar bear, is an amazing experience. This is a sweet, touching, loving, feel-good tale with a long road to HEA. I loved this book!
This book will pull you in from the first pages and not let you go. Love between a penguin and a polar bear? Penguins mate for life; polar bears go from one short term relationship to another. Penguins have a rigid set of rules and traditions; polar bears have traditions too, but are artsy, free-spirited folks. You will laugh, cry, & stare in wonder as two men sacrifice long-held beliefs to achieve their HEA. You will love this book!
This is Todd and Lewis’ story. Todd is a polar bear who makes the magical mating necklaces for penguin couples, and is in to gaming. Lewis is a penguin, also into gaming. Their friendship was not quite forbidden, but unique to say the least. It will take 6 years and a lot of learning on both sides before Lewis is eligible for his Pebble Gifting Season. And Todd intends to be the one to give Lewis his mating pebble.
Since penguins and polar bears don’t normally interact, convincing their family and friends they are serious takes some doing. But with the help of a loyal, if quirky, friend, they make it happen.
There is steamy, forbidden sex, but you have to wait for it. Well worth the wait! There is nesting and a hatching. And a twist at the end. It will capture your heart. You need to get this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex, and is intended for mature readers only.
Pouting penguins honest to god this has to be my book of 2019. I just gobbled it up. No angst no drama just cuteness from start to finish.
Lewis is a penguin shifter an adorable penguin shifter at that but when he go’s with his omega father to have his pebble removed he meets Todd. Todd is the complete opposite to Lewis in ever way but the main one being he is a bear.
All their lives they are brought up thinking they have to mate with their own find.. but faith gets in the way to prove that love is love and it doesn’t matter if your a penguin or a bear you can over come your differences and find love in any form you choose.
With adorable pebble gifting season and hilarious nesting and not to forget the pillow man on speed dial I laughed out loud. With a few steamy moments to warm a cold Alaskan night it’s had everything you could ask for.
I love Amy’s writing style but what I love most is that it’s not always traditional love in the way society deems normal. What is normal anyways.
Yet another outstanding read from a fantastic author who also made my day by saying Ansel( Todds friend and their no one supporter )is getting his own story yippee.
A Pebble for Lewis is truly good for the soul. It’s full of kindness, love, romance, and so many other warm, fuzzy feelings. I wanted to say “awww” most of the book and had a perpetual smile on my face. I almost read this in one sitting it was that good.
This is a 5 star rating hands down. Everything is written well – from the character development to the story to the worldbuilding to the steamy scenes (and they were plenty steamy). And it’s clear that Amy did her research. I also had fun picturing adorable Penguin shifters! I had a really clear idea of what to expect from the story, but I was actually surprised by how romantic it is. I can’t express how sweet Lewis and Todd are.
This is the start to a series and I can’t wait for the next book. The characters are introduced in this book and they both need all the love. This book is also set in the Heron Manor world. If you haven’t read another Heron Manor book, pick up Omega from the Ocean ASAP. You are missing out on one sassy and unfiltered merman! Note that these are separate series, just set in the same world.
I always want more of Amy’s books. I’ll constantly check the percentage on my Kindle as I’m reading because I don’t want the story to end! But it’s not a bad thing; just a part of really great writing and storytelling. But seriously Amy, if these guys talk to you again, nobody will complain about more of their story.
Even if you don’t love shifter and/or mpreg books, I highly recommend giving this one a try. Amy’s take on both genres is unique and refreshing.
It was so sweet! The world building was great. I was so excited to find out that she will have more books in this world. You can tell she did a lot of work and research not only for the world she created but, the setting of Alaska.
I never thought a Pebble could be romantic but Todd presenting his Pebble changed my mind. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mm romance or wants to try mm romance.
I got this book as an arc and am freely and happily reviewing it.
