The fact that Robyn Carr’s name is huge on this book cover says it all. She is a favorite and excellent writer. Her characters are believable and wonderful.
Robyn Carr’s books are always a good read.
My subjective review: I absolutely adored this story. I had to finish it as soon as I could and hated to have to pause. The subject was intense and the romance was heartwarming. Matt is my kind of guy!! This story, in particular, brought tears to my eyes. The narrator did an outstanding job with this audio; however, there were multiple errors in the recording which is too bad. I can’t believe they were not caught.
I definitely felt a true connection to this one. I’m impressed by the amount of research or discussions with knowledgeable people Ms Carr had to do to learn about multiple topics for this novel, as well as some of the other Thunder Point series books. Now, I’m on to the last book, unfortunately, since I’ve enjoyed this series so much. I wish there were as many as Virgin River.
This is one title of a very good series.
If you haven’t read this author get one of her books soon. You’ll not regret it. Her characters are real, easy to get to know and always entertaining.

This was my first visit to Thunder Point, and I can say with complete certainty that it won’t be my last! I truly enjoyed reading Matt and Gingers story, it was a wonderful new beginnings love story that is full of hope, courage, and promise.
This is a beautifully written story that captured my heart and attention from the start. Ginger and Matt are two wounded souls that are in search of a second chance at life. And along the way they discover that after being dealt the worst life has to offer it is truly possible to have a new beginning in life and find the happiness they so desperately yearn for and deserve.
Robyn Carr is truly a gifted writer and she has created such a warm and welcoming fictional town in Thunder Point, filled with inspiring and relatable characters. I can’t wait to make a return visit and acquaint myself with more of the residents of Thunder Point!
If I could give this book a higher rating, I would. Matt and Ginger’s story broke me completely and sealed me back up in such a way that I’ll never look at a love story the same. Ginger went through the worst of worst and she had to do it all alone. Matt thought he was destined to spend life alone after his failures, but destiny is a funny thing, isn’t it?
After making an ass out of himself when he was drunk at his sister’s wedding, he looked for Ginger to apologize for his behavior. Very quickly they both realized that they shared a sadness and became friends. The friendship grew and more than that it morphed into the love they thought they had had and lost.
