Can Erin put her past where it belongs so she can see a future with Blake?Blake Gibbons knows farming like the back of his hand. He knows when to plant, what to do if an early frost comes, and how to deal with pests. He also knows how to fix old buildings into something new, and he does several odd jobs around the town of Brush Creek. When his construction work takes him to the bakery, he meets … takes him to the bakery, he meets Erin Shields, the niece of the bakery owner. She’s beautiful, she’s hard-working, and she has three children under the age of eight.
Erin has recently moved to Brush Creek to help her aunt and uncle with the pie-making side of the bakery. It’s been a good, if difficult, change for her and her kids. Divorced a year ago, Erin’s been living with her parents until she moves to Brush Creek, and she’s determined to find a way to support herself and her kids. The bakery is the ticket and she works hard to figure out how much flour to put in pie crust to make it oh-so-flaky.
But now Blake’s caught her eye, and as they start a relationship, Erin’s worries increase. How will her children handle Blake in their lives? Is she ready for another husband? Where will they all live?
In the end, both Blake and Erin will have to search their souls — and rely on God — to find their path through farming and pie filling to a happily-ever-after.

A sweet romance with a great depiction of the realities of kids. No sugar coating things here – which I love. I’m looking forward to more in this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Cowboy Blake Gibbons isn’t looking for love until he bumps into single Mom of three Erin Shields who works at the town bakery. Blake isn’t sure he’s ready for what a new relationship with a single Mom will bring. Erin’s trying to juggle parenting alone in her childhood town and working full time. I really enjoyed Blake and Erin’s story!
You can’t go wrong with a Liz Isaacson book! Clean, romantic and more-or-less real.
Can I first just begin this review off by stating how much I absolutely love Ms. Isaacson and all the hard work that she puts in each of her novels? She is truly magnificent and each of her stories holds a piece of her heart as she continues to share more and more of herself with her devoted readers.
“A Family for the Farmer” is a frustrating and infuriating tale about the cowboy named Blake and mother of three named Erin. Blake is the most hesitant and overthinking man I believe I have ever ‘met.’ For most of this novel I just wanted to shake this man and tell him to grow up! As a mother of two, myself, I could not imagine having to find love again but Erin fell in love with her cowboy and never gave up on him! This story really shows how deep and far that God’s love can carry us.
Brush Creek Brides is full of wonderful new adventures which includes Landon and Megan in this spin off series about their own horse ranch training the next rodeo stars before their time. There is more love and good times to be had in this up and coming series that I am sure that each and every reader will not want to miss out on!
I love this Author more and more each book I read.

Family for the Farmer is Book 4 of the Brush Creek Bride series and as usual Liz Isaacson has written another great book.
Blake is a farmer for Brush Creek Ranch but also works as a general contractor. When he is asked to do work at the bakery and repair some water damage and find more then he thought and it extends to the apartment above the bakery where he meets Erin and sparks begin to fly…until he finds she is the single mother of 3….
Erin, a single mother of 3 children under the age of 8 and has moved in the apartment above the bakery where she will be working with her Aunt Shirley and learning to bake and help with the business but she is not ready for another man in her life after her divorce. She just wants to make a new life for her family.
Can Blake and Erin let go and move on from their pasts to a future together or will the past continue to make that a impossibility???
