As Wade focuses his efforts on caring for the children, he discovers that their tender, young lives give tremendous meaning to his own broken one. Then Starr’s abusive ex-husband shows up to claim the offspring who barely remember him–and Wade prepares for the fight of his life.
Will Anyone Believe His Claim to Love the Children More than Their Father Loves Them?
A powerful novel of loss and discovery, courage and grace, A Nest of Sparrows masterfully illustrates one man’s struggle to know when to fight, when to let go, and when to simply wait.

who doesn’t love a book with a man and women and children. A mixture of love tragedy and good old fashion Christianily.
Before contractor Wade Sullivan can marry Starr and become a father to her three children, Starr dies. Her abusive former husband and the father of her children has had nothing to do with them for years, but now wants custody of the children. This is a story of sacrificial love and an illustration that “family” can be more about love than blood. It shows one man’s courage to know when to fight, when to let go and when to wait.
Gttst read
Great book. Easy to get into.
Good story. I would recommend it.
I enjoyed it! Very realistic!
Loved the characters, felt as if I knew them and cared about what happened to them. Was realistic.
I read the book in one day. I couldn’t put it down. It was very emotional and heartwarming.
Very pleased with deciding to read this as 1 of my daily BookBub choices and it was one that was offered “FREE”! I am a reader that when I make my selections I never read the reviews because it seems to me they are just telling you more of what the book is about in their words. I read what the book is about on the list of daily choices from BB, if it interests me, hey i head over and in a few keystrokes the book is waiting for me. I Loved this book and hope you will take a chance in reading it also,,,,it draws you in, keeps you due to tragedy, and hang on for the ending!
It was a good read and sentimental.
Xcellent
This is a sweet story without being sappy. The characters are believable and you aren’t really sure what’s going to happen, even though you’re pretty sure it’s going to work out. I liked their Christian attitudes and behaviors.
The book is very well-written, with no typos or misused words, which is one of my pet peeves. Recommend.
This was a good read about folks reacting to tragedy as we all do at some point. Recommend it.
I really enjoyed the book.
I loved this book. It was the first time reading this author and I cannot wait to read more. This was a heart warming but very real story. Must read.
Excellent read

I really liked this little story. It was sometimes tragic, sometimes sweet, sometimes full of what family really is.
Wonderful story of God’s mercy
