An interesting WWII story from the point of view of a Russian woman and her German lover. Not a “romance” book, but more the story of young love in time of war.

Two young people drawn together by a sharing of patriotism and integrity. Yet, the war places them on opposite sides of the struggle. Now what?? Gripping!
This is not mu usual fare but I thought i would give something new a try. Moving and thought provoking. Doesn’t pull any punches. Don’t expect romance, and be willing to suspend belief when it comes to ‘chance’ encounters. A good read overall.
This book was just not the style I like. I did not finish it. Easy read as far as that goes.
