In A Mother for His Twins by Jill Weatherholt, Joy Kelliher was content at living in her community and working as a teacher at the school. She now has her application in for the Principal of the school, following her dad’s footsteps. But everything is up in the air now that her old boyfriend is back in town widowed with twin boys that she is teaching. To make it worse, Nick lives across the street from her, and he has an application in for the same principal job.
I enjoyed this mixed up story. Both Joy and Nick has secrets from their past and they are hurting, and both afraid to tell the other. I love these two characters. As well as the other characters that make up this story. They play their parts well and develop well as the story unfolds. The twins were adorable and so was Joy’s niece. The three little ones added a lot to the story. Parts of the story were more difficult to read because of the past, but the story ends up being a sweet loving romance. So, if this is your cup of tea when reading, you will love this one, which I give Five Stars.

Who doesn’t love a second chance story? And one with adorable twin boys equals double the delight.
Having given up on one dream, Joy is looking forward to realizing another…until her former flame comes to town vying for the same principal position. Not only does Joy get to face Nick at school, but she also gets to watch him with his twin boys right across the street from her home.
Jill Weatherholt packs tons of emotion in A Mother for His Twins. Both Joy and Nick have regrets from their past. Both are holding onto guilt and shame for those same things. But two little boys (one with a big personality and the other with a big heart) make them face truths about forgiving themselves and embracing what God has in store for them.

One night changed everything for Nick and Joy, once high school sweethearts, now competing for the same position as the principal in their hometown.
A heartwarming romance of second chances, forgiveness, and family. Joy loves her job as a first grade teacher, and I loved her passion for teaching. I liked that the backstory unfolds over the course of the book, keeping me engaged and made it more satisfying to have to “work” for the backstory.
Nick is a fantastic father to his boys, working hard to be more present than he was in the past. He wants to do what is best for his family and is surprised to find Joy still living in the town that he left so many years before. I liked that they were both Christians, and that it took time to build trust and unpack everything that had happened in the past. The boys, Tyler and Jordan are adorable, each with distinct personalities and mannerisms. I loved how they take to Joy right away.
Overall, and high enjoyable read that was hard to put down. I also liked how Joy’s sister also makes an appearance in this book as well. Wonderful characters, and a compelling storyline in this heartwarming second chance romance.
