Her plans for her Europe trip didn’t include falling in love!
When Tiffany Gallagher flies to London from L.A. to spend the holidays with her family, she hopes the media interest in her actor brother will be enough to get her sketches to the hands of the right fashion designers. Volunteering at a homeless shelter on Christmas Day and getting nowhere with designers aren’t part of her plan. Nor … part of her plan. Nor is having to travel with Mac, the wounded and cynical Scottish photojournalist also volunteering at the shelter, to get the New Year’s Eve she’d dreamed of, an Edinburgh Hogmanay.
Determined to prove to her family and to herself that she’s good at something other than shopping, she sets up an ambitious back-to-work partnership between the shelter and Pettett & Mayfield’s department store. But her scheme means she and Mac are thrown together, as he’s working at the shelter while he recovers from a bomb blast. When he turns the camera on her to help her get a modelling job, she begins to see past his wounds.
Neither is looking for love, but love finds them anyway, though they know it can’t last when their plans are taking them in different directions. Can they learn in time that no matter what they’ve planned, God’s loving purpose for their lives can’t be denied?
Book 1 in The Macleans series of sweet inspirational romances set in Scotland.
Please note- This is NOT a new release! This story is also published as Book 3 in the Love In Store series!
There’s no need to read either series in order. Each story is a complete romance, following a different couple through the trials and joys of a developing love, deepening their faith in the process, until they’re ready for the happy-ever-after God has planned for them.
A Model Bride is a clean and sweet Christian romance. Includes New Year’s Eve dancing, a little kissing, and a doubting cynical hero, as well as British spelling. Complete with British English Glossary.

Opposites attract is one of my favorite trope, and this book wove in that so well. Autumn did a great job bringing two people from opposite worlds. With chemistry and God’s plan, Love might might find you at a charity event or a homeless shelter. You feel inspired as you read Mac and Tiffany’s story as they grow in each passing chapter of the novel.
Great characters—with realistic flaws and strengths.
They are *not* going to fall in love.
Both have plans to get back to after this season in London.
Another one of my favorite tropes, they fall in love against their will. And, they seem to be the last to see it. 🙂
I loved this story!
Enjoyed this story about a woman that never seems good enough. And a man that has failed many time. They meet in a homeless shelter and find was to help the residents and find love.
A model bride is a heartwarming clean christian novel that captivates you from start to finish. The characters are amazing and you are going to really appreciate their personality. Melanie is eager to start her career as a fashion designer when she meets the wounded war photo journalist Mac in a homeles shelter where she is a volunteer on Christmas night with her family. They are very attracted to each other but do not want to start a relationship because they want to continue their career. However, God has other plans for these two.
A nice clean story about learning each of us is valuable even though we are all different. Happiness comes from our belief that we are always valuable and loved by God . When we realize this principle, the remainder life gradually falls into place.
A Model Bride is a heartwarming story in the Love in Store series. Both Mac and Tiff are wonderful characters who respond to their own perceptions of how others see them. United through serving a the homeless shelter, Tiff and Mac are drawn to each other. When Tiff learns she was conned about her trip to Scotland, Mac takes her home with him for the New Year celebration. I encourage you to read this sweet story. Come along as Tiff and Mac learn to see themselves through God’s eyes.
It was a fun book
I enjoyed this book, the characters true to life, spiritual insight in working out their difficulties. Thank you for truly a good book
This was the best book I’ve read on a while! Downloaded two more in the series an preordered one more scheduled to come out in October. I’m sure I’read other books by this author as well…. She’s a gem!
Thought provoking, heartwarming story with enough ups and downs to keep the reader turning pages. I literally read this book late into the night and woke to finish the last chapter in the morning!
The author put in several well placed biblical quotes that encouraged the reader’s own introspection on his or her abilities at living fully and mindfully.
This story brings to the forefront that truly: “With God, all things are possible”.
I highly recommend this book.
People can change when they yield their will to God’s amazing plan for their lives. We must learn to wait on God and trust His timing. This book is a great example of the Holy Spirit working.
This is a nice, clean romance story. Tiffany & Mac both have their issues they have to overcome before they can have a life together. I enjoyed the New Year Scottish celebration information they attended. The ending is pretty predictable.
Clean
Autumn Macarthur is a great writer with Christian values – her books are so inspiring giving the reader a renewed since of hope – looking forward to reading all of her books
A little too much repetition otherwise would have given 5 stars
A sweet story that also dives into real issues from both Tiffany’s and Mac’s pasts as they wrestle with what they want for their future. Great settings and a lovely journey of faith and spiritual development before the characters reach their happily ever after. Just my kind of book!
Love in Store series by Autumn Macarthur is a charming series set around a long-standing department store and its staff and their family members. I thought book 2 was my favorite, but now I’m thinking that book 3, A Model Bride, may be my favorite. Tiffany and Colin both have negative perceptions about themselves, basing their value on how they think others see them. When they work at a homeless shelter over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, God gives them a chance at a new perspective, and opens a door to love that can save them both if they will only turn the eyes of their hearts to Him. Macarthur gently touches on the difficult subjects of drug abuse, cutting, and homelessness bringing a fresh perspective and human factor to topics that are so generalized in today’s society and media. I would love to celebrate Hogmanay and tour Scotland and London with Tiffany the way Macarthur describes it in this story.
A sweet inspirational read which touched my heart. This clean read introduces us to a woman who has plans for her life but is struggling with them lining up with the will of God or the plans of her family. But you know the old saying make plans and God laughs. Well nothing goes according to her plan but when the praises go up the blessings reign down.
A beautifully written story about life, obedience, letting go and seeking, all things we must do in order to hear and follow. Well written without being preachy.
couldn’t get through it; empty characters and too corny
Boring. Could not get into book. Stopped reading
