Now in development for TV Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time(R) burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, readers have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over forty million copies in over thirty languages. The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even … become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.
When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork. With The Gathering Storm (Book 12) and Towers of Midnight (Book 13) behind him, both of which were # 1 New York Times hardcover bestsellers, Sanderson now re-creates the vision that Robert Jordan left behind.
Edited by Jordan’s widow, who edited all of Jordan’s books, A Memory of Light will delight, enthrall, and deeply satisfy all of Jordan’s legions of readers.
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass.
What was, what will be, and what is,
may yet fall under the Shadow.
Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time.

Well, it’s over, 14 books read! Through highs and lows, it was quite a commitment! This is truly an epic fantasy series and while it slumps a little through the middle it is still worth the, let me just add this up, 11,537ish pages it takes to finish. Or in my case, about 450 hours!
The last three books, and this one in particular, really weave …
a bitter sweet ending to a series I had been reading for almost 2 decades. after the death of mr Jordan I was afraid I would never get to read the ending but his estate made an excellent choice in letting brian sanderson finish it. even though it is the end, I wish that the series would continue.
What a wonderful finish to a epic series. Brandon Sanderson masterfully and skillfully finishes Robert Jordon’s (RIP) masterpiece series, The Wheel of Time saga. This series captured my attention when it first started in 1990, and held it firmly until its conclusion in 2013. Fantastic world building and rich character development make this …
I followed this series since it launched, and was glad that Sanderson took up the challenge after Jordan died; however, I was underwhelmed by the climactic showdown between the two main antagonists. Except for that, the series and 95% of this book were excellent. And I am a huge Sanderson fan.
Grade A fine reading. =)
Such a wonderful conclusion to one of the best fantasy series of all time! Sanderson’s voice was different than Jordan’s, especially for some characters, but overall he did a great job and I’m really impressed with what he did for such an undertaking. There is too much I love here for me to include in a review.
Sanderson completes the masters’ work with brilliance. If you haven’t read the wheel of time series, you are missing one of the great epics in fantasy literature.
Roughly 20 years ago a friend introduced me to this series. I read the first few books in the series, each roughly 1,000 pages, and was hooked. Though I often complained (to myself) that the story seemingly had no end, I kept up–somewhat haphazardly–with the books that followed in the series, always hoping that the next book would tie it all …
An excellent read
Exactly how can you end an epic series that spanned most readers lifetimes? Sure it may not have been enough for many hardcore wheel of time lovers but you have to give Sanderson some credit for wrapping up as much of this enormous world as he possibly could. I laughed.. I cried.. I was surprised, and it’s been long enough since I read it (the …
I have to admit, I almost didn’t finish this series. I was on about book 7 I think when I heard that Mr. Jordan was sick. When he passed away suddenly, I gave up on the series. Then, I fell out of touch with it completely. Years later, I hear that some guy named Brandon Sanderson had been hired to finish the series. I was hearing good things about …
This is the last book in my favorite series. It’s awesome.
the best fantasy saga by far
This is best series ever
I’m rating the series as a whole – although you might try just reading one, it would be like cliff’s notes in such a complete universe.
Read the whole series! It is wonderful
Good Ending to the series. Be prepared for a LOT of Main People to die.
Fantastic!
