What good is a witch with no magic?I’m Lexi Balefire and I wear a lot of hats, but none of them are tall and pointy. I spend half my time making love matches that last forever, and the other half trying to keep my faerie godmothers from turning each other into toads. Or worse.I come from a long line of witches, some of them wicked, but none of that will matter if my magic doesn’t awaken before … will matter if my magic doesn’t awaken before midnight on my next birthday. If I miss that deadline, I’ll never be a true witch.
If my mother and grandmotherhadn’t used their magic to kill each other, one of them might have been able to give me the keys to the mystery and I’d be one step closer to claiming my Fate Weaver heritage.
Now, I guess I’ll have to figure it out on my own.

Opening premise was good. Characters were good . Ended up cartoonish. Entertaining enough but probably not enough to make me read the rest.
liked it but it looks like the series is going to be annoying
A clever, enjoyable read.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this delightfully entertaining story – so much fun!
Could benefit from better proof reading.
Loved it!
Cute premise, and an enjoyable read. Not the best writing/editing but not bad enough that I didn’t enjoy the story — and its sequels.
Great fun if you just want a quick, light read.
Totally surprise she was Cupid daughter.
Great easy read.
Found it rather confusing
I haven’t read a book lately about witches & fairies and found this truly enjoyable
I rarely want to get locked into a series. This was a good stand alone book and I liked it so much I might read more in the series after all.
This was a light weight fun read written in a first person casual style. The plot was predictable, but I thought the characters were interesting and the main character’s job as a matchmaker was a nice quirky twist. The end of the story was okay, but seemed a little rushed to me. I would have liked to have seen a little more time spent focused on the main character as she worked to acquire her powers. There isn’t much character development which was probably intentional on the part of the author to provide expanded storylines in later books in the series.
Great fun. Solid characters, and excellent world-building.
Fun to read and it kept my attention. love the characters!!!
I like the idea, the plots and especially the Faeröer godmothers I must admit that I find the main characters a bit boring but the other characters made this series worthwhile reading Nice for an autumn evening with the cat and a large pit of tea with chocolate cookies
I actually couldn’t finish it. I tried. I even stopped and read another book thinking I needed a break from the genre. Nope. Didnt work. The writing isnt bad it just took to long to get to the point.
no twists or turns, predictable,. I didn’t finish it it was so poorly written.
Great escape, quick read.
Sweet book, the main character does develop somewhat throughout the book, the fairy god mothers are a bit over the top but then that is what fairy god mothers are for. I like the character of Lexi as a matchmaker witch who has not come into her power. The reveal at the end is a good explanation as any and a good set up for further books in the series. Light romance, good descriptions of scenes a fun read.
