Murphy Anderson is coming home for Christmas… her handsome neighbors—especially Cody Marvell, who always rubbed her the wrong way. And maybe that’s why, when Cody shows an interest in the ranch, she hesitates to sell.
Cody Marvell has a way with people…unless that person is Murphy Anderson. Cody never understood what she was dealing with when they were younger. Murphy had a hard time while growing up, with no mom and a cold-hearted father. He made some mistakes, which he now regrets. He wants her ranch, and more than that, he wants her.
When a Christmas flood makes Murphy’s home uninhabitable, he invites her to stay at the Marvell Ranch. With the help of country Christmas magic, Cody hopes she’ll start to see him with new eyes.

Great story! And immediately the mood of the holiday) Thank you, Jeannie!
This book for me is how much our future can be lost to our past if allow it to be. AND by the same token our present can be defined by our past but sometimes we miss remember our past as well. Murphy Anderson comes home to the ranch where she grew up to close it up and sell the land. She doesn’t expect to run into bad weather and even worse the guy who she remembered as the “bad guy”. Cody Mavell is THAT guy and he had some odd thoughts about her as well. This book is slow at times getting to the point but when it does finally start moving it is a really good read.
I adore the way Jeannie Watt’s writes about Montana in her books in your mind’s eye it makes you feel like you are there. The story of Cody Marvell and Murphy Anderson is a beautiful – Christmas Miracle love story. I have enjoyed all of her books that I have read and I’m sure if you love all things Christmas and reading you will enjoy this book as well – definitely a five-star book.
Beautiful
This one brings together Cody & Murphy. He dad owned the ranch next door and now that he has passed she is back to clean it out and sell it. Cody thought of her but was worried when it got really bad with the weather. But something they both needed was Christmas cheering up.
Having survived their different but tragic childhoods, the main characters are back in one another’s orbit at Christmas. Having known each other as neighbors, but superficially, there is history and hard feelings to work through.
A little Christmas magic has surprising results.
Upon coming home to sell her late fathers home. Girl becomes involved with.her teen idol from years ago
Great story about overcoming bad past feelings.
typical romance to while away an afternoon
I enjoyed this book and its flawed characters. It was an entertaining read, the characters well-developed, the chemistry and back story solid, and the plot more believable than many. Gotta love those happy endings!
Takes a bit to get into the book. Kinda drags but in the end it reads well
Two old friends get together for the Holidays, sort of. Not too bad of a story.
A marvelous story.
I do so enjoy the Marietta Montana stories. This is a really good one!
another good marietta story7
A nice simple love story
Learning about how the weather is so much a part of this story & how difficult ranching life can be.
Good read
Boring. Not enough movement. Too much discussion about surroundings rather than a relationship. To slow moving.
Love Romantic Christmas movies. This was a great one!
A Christmas story of forgiveness, redemption and healing.
