BrontëI’ve just inherited the grandest manor home in England along with 200 staff members and yes, I have more money than the Queen. This wasn’t my destiny, but now I’ll have to take it. That doesn’t mean I have to stop having fun. The tall, dark, and mysterious American wandered into my home in a blue spandex peacock costume. (I love a good themed party. Remind me to tell you about the ‘anything … about the ‘anything but clothes’ party.)
I found him accidentally naked in my library, his too tight spandex onesie stuck around his muscular thighs.
(Why are his legs so muscled?)
His entire body is carved to perfection and did I mention he was more endowed than the Colossus of Rhodes?
He never has to know I’m the richest girl in England. All he has to know is what makes my knees buckle and where my special spot is—you know the one.
On second thought, maybe taking this manor home is exactly what I needed.
This is a lust-at-first sight contemporary romance. As always, A Manor of Taking It is full of heat, heart, and humor! Read A Manor of Faking It first for the full-story, but both can be read as a full-length, stand-alone novel.

A Manor of Taking It is the story of Lady Bronte, wealthy British royal, and Ben, an American who was temporarily in England. When these two characters meet up there are sparks which ignite. This book has amazing characters (both primary and secondary), and an interesting plot with secrets, mystery, and sizzling romance.

The author had a unique way of telling the story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

i did read A Manor of Making IT and made this one better since i knew all the characters, including the supporting cast. But It can be read alone. As it is a new a relationship and a salacious one at that. The Clarion Abby is known for its parties. Bronte will be happy to tell you all about them but the one that sets our story this time involves a naked American Named Ben. Bronte tries to hid her billions and her staff of 200 plus to enjoy a simple , lusty relationship with Ben. But the cover is blown and even TMZ reports on the lying lady Bronte. Ben feel betrayed of course and they both learn that being intimate doesn’t mean you know each other intimately.
Author Harlin is not afraid to write an exhausting sex scene but in this novel there is a little more to it than that. 100% enjoyable
This is the story of Bronte and Ben. He’s an American and doesn’t know that Bronte has just become Lady Bronte. These two have agreed they aren’t looking for a relationship and are just after a bit of fun. I enjoyed this entertaining romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
In “A Manor of Faking It”, the book about Finn’s romance with Poppy, we learn a bit about Bronte. She was acting up in order to not be chosen over Finn to be the heir of the Dukedom. Well, that didn’t work and she became Lady Bronte.
Bronte continues her “on the fringe” behavior with an American only temporarily in Europe. Ben seems to be an easy going, nice guy enamored with Bronte’s “wild” ways. He seems to awkwardly try to fit in to upper British society functions, but it soon turns out to Ben that is steeped in mystery and his was really the story that kept me reading.
Ben and Bronte are no doubt a hot couple. Each makes it clear from the start they are not looking for a relationship and you know how that’s going to go. If you are like me, you will be unable to put this down until you find out about thirty four, the tattoos, and all that other intriguing stuff.
