Our goodnight kiss should have been goodbye.
We meant it to be.
But Monday morning there was Logan Jennings, in my office, deciding the fate of the company I love…and my job.
I never should have said the things I said or let myself feel the things I felt because connections like this don’t just go away. Even when you desperately need them to.
In two weeks, he’ll be gone, and nothing will … gone, and nothing will ever be the same.

So fun!
This book has got to be THE BEST rom-com I’ve read in a long time. Probably, since Sophie Kinsella. Maybe even better because there are no curse words so I can recommend it without a second thought. The relationship between the two best friends made me think of Sierra B. is a Loser, but as adults. Everything about this book was absolute perfection. The humor was spot on, and the chemistry was REAL. The romance wasn’t forced, everything fell into place effortlessly. Superb. I am head over heels in love with this book and will be highly recommending it. Bravo.
First of all, that title! Can we ladies all relate to that, or what?
And speaking of relatable, Tessa is every woman, regardless of size or any other external factor. We all have our little insecurities which we see in several of the side characters in this book. What I love about Tessa, is that she recognizes who she is and totally owns it like a boss. She’s not looking in the mirror, wishing she was a size four, or throwing herself a pity party because past blind dates ended in disaster. She’s happy with herself, happy in her career, and confident with her current life situation. And that is powerful, because she doesn’t rely on romantic relationships to define her. So when Logan comes around, BOOM. Fireworks.
And let’s just talk about Logan for a minute. The way he treats Tessa is what dreams are made of. And those kisses. Let me just say this book delivers in the most satisfying way. Ah! Thanks, Michelle, for the smiles and laughs and sighs.

MY TAKE
I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Pennington, and this book lived up to my expectations. With all the scary stuff going on in the world right now, I needed some hilarity to lift me up. A Man Worth Shaving For was the perfect Rx. Tess is a delight and Logan’s a hunk as well as a great guy. I love that Tess, even when she was being confronted by a hateful employee who kept taking jabs at her, kept her cool. She’s my hero.
A full five stars.
A fun clean rom-com that deals with women’s body issues in a positive light. I really enjoyed the humor and flirting in it. I highly recommend it.
I loved this book! I so relate to Tessa, except I’m not bluntly honest like she is, but I loved it. Tessa and Logan seem to be in an impossible situation, but it sure was fun watching them figure it out. This is a fun new series and I’m excited to see where it is going. This author continues to surprise me with wonderful stories in different genres.
Tessa and Logan are really being themselves with each other when set up on a blind date because they do not think they will ever see each other again. Loved it. It is amazing what can happen when we let others see who we are. These two had so much chemistry even though she does not understand how he could be attracted to her. How they meet again is basically the story of the book and what an awesome story it is. I read this in one sitting, am leaving my review on the same day (got through my kindle unlimited) and am eagerly awaiting book 2!!! This is one of the best books I have read this year!!!
How can you not want to read a book with this title? Add in the place she works, a lingerie company named Booms and Nibbles and you will definitely be hooked. Michelle Pennington draws you in with humor and romance. I enjoyed this book.
I really enjoyed this book. There are several laugh-out-loud moments. The way the story is written, it’s like you’re standing on the sidelines watching everything unfold.
I received an ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
A Romantic Comedy
Very entertaining, enjoyable and is so heartwarming.
Is there a man worth shaving for in your life?
Soooooo good! I greatly needed this light read. I love that the workplace for this series is a company that focuses on women being comfortable regardless of their shape or size. I loved the humor in this story, as well as the spark and romance still keeping it clean. Tessa and Logan are great characters with fantastic chemistry! I already want to read this again!
This was an easy read, true to life story. Always had you wondering what was going to happen next. Fun office romance type. Definitely a good, fun, romantic comedy.
I loved this so much! This was my 1st book with her and I’ve read the other in the series and loved them all. The story is engaging. The characters and dialogue are great. The people are very relatable and real. I enjoy the message of the story. Michelle Pennigton can really write romcom.
I loved the creativity and thought that went into this book. I loved the positive messages about body image. And…I loved this story. Lots of laugh out loud moments, some tender as well. A nice mix for this must-read romantic comedy. This was my first time reading this author, but it won’t be my last.
I laughed and swooned over this delightful, sweet romantic comedy by Michelle Pennington. As a curvier sort of girl myself, I easily identified with Tessa and her self esteem moments. From wardrobe malfunctions, to make-up mishaps, to taking on a fake boyfriend, I was pulling for Tessa to keep her job and win her man. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!
Note: Even though books can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend starting with this book first as it sets the stage for book 2, Oh Keep Your Shirt On.
I very much enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Sophia Kinsella’s style, but cleaner and with more mature characters (meaning the characters didn’t drive me crazy with their immaturity), therefore more enjoyable to me. Loved the humor in it.
This book was laugh-out-loud funny while still having tender moments and lots of tense situations.
Logan was such a great male character. He was driven, good at his job, but passionate about pursuing Tessa who was the one woman he shouldn’t want. I like the way that he pursued her and the way he wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable without coming across as effeminate.
Tessa was such a fun character! She was funny, smart, and bluntly honest. I liked the way she wasn’t a perfect size 6 (or whatever the perfect size is supposed to be) and was comfortable with her body.
Together, Tessa and Logan were a potent combination and a lot of their chemistry was because of what they hadn’t been able to say.
This is such a great book! I loved the characters from the beginning and hoped the romance would work out. She’s a curvy girl and he’s the kind of handsome guy she usually avoids. The pacing is excellent. Humor and heart are there right when you need them. It has a HFN ending.
I couldn’t put it down! Michelle does such an amazing job weaving in funny, embarrassing real life awkward moments with just the right amount of sweet romantic moments.
Michelle Pennington’s first romantic comedy. Clean and wholesome.
Tessa met Logan on a double date. After a wardrobe malfunction, Logan (her roommate’s date) offers to take her home. Unexpected sparks fly and he kisses her goodnight.
Monday morning she discovers Logan is the man her boss hired to make business recommendations. His decision could cost Tessa her job.
They struggle to keep their attraction under wraps at work. Women parade past Logan’s desk to get a look at him. I love the person Tessa chose to discourage the gawkers.
A fun story. I definitely recommend it. Can’t wait for her next romantic comedy.
