He witnessed how love destroyed his father after the death of his mother, so Laird Cormac Murray has vowed to never take a wife. But his heart won’t listen to his mind when he comes across a bewildered lass traveling alone. After winning a contest, Eve Brannigan is stunned to learn that Clan Murray has requested her assistance in catering their holiday season, but the Fae and the magic of the Yule season has a surprise in store for Eve in the form of a handsome but gruff Highlander.
This holiday romance is a wonderfully magical and feisty read that has readers wanting to experience a little fae magic of their own. The characters are strong, brave and easily grab readers’ attentions right from the start. The chemistry between Cormac (whom certainly deserves some happiness after helping the ‘Dragon Knights fight evil) and Eve sizzles with electricity and singes readers with its heat throughout the romance it slowly unlocks the hearts of two souls who had locked them away and thrown away the key.
Lots of emotional turmoil, thrilling suspense and excitement flow the pages of this time travel romance as Eve finds herself in the past which of course provides some hardships for anyone but Eve takes to it, with enviable ease. Readers can’t help but be completely enthralled with this cute and delightful Highland romance that defies time and blends magic and true love into a Happily Ever After.
Another wonderful story from Mary Morgan. I was so excited to see that Cormac was getting a story and a HEA. He has been one of my favourite characters from the Dragon Knights tales and such a loyal friend. Eve was perfect for him. She was strong, feisty and a truly caring and loving soul. Their story was fun to read and oh so sweet. I am an avid fan of anything Mary Morgan writes and am always anxious to read her next book.
I love Mary Morgan’s books. They are always wonderfully imaginative; her world-building is thorough and consistent. They are also deeply, emotionally satisfying. In this Yuletide, time-travel romance, Eve and Cormac (friend of the Dragon Knights) find peace and happiness in each other.
This is a short, sweet, sexy book, yet I had a lump in my throat more than once. The fae awarded Even and Cormac the chance to choose each other, through the veil of time, because of both characters’ goodness and kindness towards others.
The sweet is sweet, the sexy, sexy, and the listening experience smooth as silk. To top it off, there’s a bonus recipe at the end — eggnog scones.
I love it! Enjoy!
A Magical Highland Solstice was a cute little holiday novella. It ties in with the Order of the Dragon Knights series. Laird Cormac Murray was the friend of the Dragon Knights and he loyally helped them fight evil in the MacKay brother’s books. I was so happy that Cormac got his HEA. I was even more happy that his love was from the year 2016. Cormac was sweet, charming, and caring in all the other books and I really wanted his story. Eve was a modern day baker. The fae intervened sending Eve back in time to Cormac giving both a chance of soul deep love. Eve was sweet, kind of shy, but she could hold her own. Cormac and Eve’s story was sweet and had plenty of passion. It was a cute, easygoing, quick holiday read and I really enjoyed it. I really hope Mary Morgan continues with the Dragon Knights. I know all the Knights stories are told so maybe the children could get books!
Eve needed to win the baking contest. The prize money would fix her desperate situation. However, her friend’s needs were even direr. Would she be rewarded with the win? It turns out she is rewarded—it just takes her some time to realize just what reward. She thinks it is a trip to Scotland. What she doesn’t know is when it is.
Another wonderful travel from now back to the sixteenth-century story. Cormack has vowed never to suffer the pain of loss his father suffered when his mother passed. Yet resisting the woman from the future may be more than he can resist. His friends have wives from her time. Can he as well?.
Eve doesn’t understand why everything is so “authentic” in the castle from costumes to kitchens and more. Cormack and the others do know they just have to keep it from her.
The romance is sweet and steamy, the characters are wonderful, the narration is amazing in the audio as is the story—five’s all around,
