Sometimes, I wondered if he was real. Our time together was short, but it left a lasting impression on me. I’m older now. Wiser, too. Five years have passed, and I still can’t get him off my mind. Hunter was cruel, angry, and protective. I learned his secrets and he fled. The day he left, I vowed to find him. I guess now I have an obsession of my own: Track down Hunter Hammond and make him mine.
Oh-my-gosh!! Y’all! My heart, my heart. I’m all over the freakin place. This conclusion was LIFE, every emotion in my body was beaten down, broken, used up and tossed around before CoraLee picked me up off the floor hugged me and mended my heart back together.
I truly won’t say too much about what happened in this book as not to give anything away, but I will say I’m in awe at CoraLee’s brilliance. This author y’all! I mean she gave us this story that picks up five years later and Roe is still heartbroken, pining over Hunter, obsessed and determined to find him. The lengths to which she will go to find him, who and how far she will be willing to go to get information on his whereabouts and what it will do to get information, the writing is so good, that desperation jumps off the pages. I’m telling you I didn’t know who was more desperate, Roe Palmer or Me?!? But how will her heart handle what she sees when she does finally find Hunter? Can she handle all he throws her way to get her to turn right back to where she came from?
Have you ever loved someone and wanted to simultaneously knock them upside the head repeatedly? Yeah, that’s the way I felt towards Hunter for most of this book. Holy heck how I love that stalker, but he kept hurting, Pretty Debt. Over and over again. Ultimately I knew it was in an effort to protect her , but it still hurt like hell.
“I’m gonna make you wish you had forgotten about me.”
This book was so fast past and full of suspense. It was gritty and dangerous. I just loved the pieces the secondary characters brought to the puzzle. Nicole, Mack and the Bullets, they are all fantastic.
The suspense the action. GAH!! I loved everything about the ride this book took me on. OH and let me just tell you. This book was full of some of the most beautiful poetry, really, I’m still just reeling from it. It was so vulnerable and raw. It stripped bare the inner most personal and intimately beautiful thoughts and emotions of everything Roe had ever been through and was going through. It was awesome that the author got to display this talent of hers in this book this way.
As far as Roe and Hunter in this book, there is an amazing push and pull, a clash and fighting of their feelings and chemistry. Both Hunter and Roe are stubborn and constantly try to hurt each other in an effort of self preservation and self sacrifice.
“You can blame me, Pretty Debt.”
It’s crazy, frustrating and amazing all at the same time. They are still hot as blue blazes though!! Trust me y’all need to read this duet!

My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up :
– I couldn’t be happier with the way things ended for Hunter and Roe!! I’m still Obsessed with them. This book was everything I wanted but then it was so much more. It was so full of confessions, laying it all out there. It was full of action, suspense, angst, GAH the sex! Man the banter, blood, tears, sexual tension. My heart hurt the whole time! All the plots going on, fabulous!! It was full on frustration for them to get it together!. The characters are fantastic and complex and I wish there was more! TBH I’m not ready to let Roe and Hunter go!
-OMG! Their encounters are so different from the first book but Roe and Hunter will always, always be FIRE!!
Cliffhanger Warning- NO CLIFFHANGER! Your heart will finally be happy at the end. YAY!!
Trigger Warning-This does have gang-ish/fight scenes that are a little graphic and could be considered triggers for some. If you have concerns you can PM for more information.
What a conclusion.
Another great read from this new to me author.
Five years have past and Roe can’t get Hunter out of her mind. She embarks on a mission to hunt him down and force him to explain why he just left without a trace.
Hold onto your hats this book is a doozy, it will keep you guessing as secrets are uncovered and friendships and loyalties are tested. But my goodness there are some seriously hot, hot scenes thrown in as we all know how much Hunter likes to hate f&%k!
A fantastic series one I highly recommend.

This is the second book in the Debt of Passion Duet, and the continuation of Hunter, and Roe’s story. This book picks up 5 years later, roles have been reversed, and Roe is stalking her stalker. Hunter left, ran off to a small town, but Roe isn’t done with him, and she plans to fight to be with again. This was emotional, intense, raw, gritty, passionate, dramatic, twisted, suspenseful, and steamy. This was a great read, the characters are well written, and have hot chemistry. I recommend this duet.
A fantastic conclusion to a brilliant duet.
I was anxiously awaiting the concluding part to hunter and roes story and couldnt wait to get stuck in….
Coralee gives us another intensely gripping story full of love, lust and heartbreak with secrets and lies around every corner and a story that draws you in completely .
A fantastic set of relatable characters that we came to love in book 1 continue into book 2 with a few added in for fun .
All in all I loved this duet it kept me hooked and wanting more until the perfect ending
Definitely recommended!!!
It was a crazy journey but great until the very end! Hunter Hammond drove me a little mad and at times I wanted to scream…but this was a page turner for sure. Roe had so much inner strength to never give up. To keep her faith and belief in Hunter. She knew his very soul and felt their undying connection. Until she could connect with Hunter again and prove to him that they were worth a shot. The roles were switched. Roe was stalking Hunter down. But the ANGST…oh Lord! I didn’t know if my itty bitty heart was going to survive it. Hunter put me through the wringer and somehow…I loved every single minute of it.
This book continues five years from the first book. In this book Roe has been obsessing over finding hunter. She has searched high and low for him for the past 5 years. She is about to give up and try to move on until she gets the chance she needs. I don’t want to give anything away, but we get to take a journey with them working on themselves and working through it together, this was an amazing ending to the series. Absolutely loved it!
A Lovely Confession (Debt of Passion #2) by Coralee June is the conclusion to A Lovely Obsession. It has been 5 years since Hunter left Roe drugged in the cabin. Now Roe is trying to deal the best way she knows how to hold on without Hunter. Her feelings for him haven’t changed. She is not doing a very good job. When an opportunity presents itself for her to find Hunter she jumps at it. Their reunion made for a good story. Along with them trying to find themselves back to each other, the original Bullets make an appearance in this story. It was nice catching back up with them. This story was cute and funny as time with a fair share of murder and mayhem. I did like the first book better but was pleased with this story. Some more secrets were revealed and some situations were resolved. 4 star read for me.
Finally the explosive ending to this duet! After the first book, I was so interested to see what happened with Hunter leaving. Five years later and Roe has a full-blown obsession with Hunter and finally tracks him down. In the process of tracking him down, Roe gets herself involved with the same people Hunter did so many years ago, and they leverage Roe to get Hunter back. Without giving anything away, the suspense of saving everyone, including themselves, while also giving into their feelings and a relationship and the book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Something I wish I would’ve done is read the Bullets books before this duet, because I feel like this book in particular would’ve made much more sense to me when reading. We also get more answers about Roe’s mother and the questions surrounding her death, and it was interesting to see why Hunter did what he did and Roe’s childhood. Interested to see if Nicole will get her own book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A Lovely Confession is the second book in this diet. The first book is A Lovely Obession. I highly recommend the whole series. Hunter and Roe’s story continues five years after the first book. Mack is living in New York, Roe is in Colorado, and Hunter is MIA. I absolutely loved this follow up. You get to see how both Hunter and Roe have changed and matured. You also see their connection and how time has not lessened it. There are some painful surprises and where everyone ends up is very unexpected. The poetry interwoven in the story is so beautiful and moving. The revealations that happen are heartbreaking. The sex is sizzling. It’s a definite 5 star read! You’re going to want to read it in one sitting. Trigger warning there is some violence.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is one of the best favorite duets that I’ve read in awhile. The entire pace of the book felt perfect and it picks up five years after book one with know Hunter being Roes prey so to speak. Everything comes full circle in this book and at times I was on pins and needles waiting to see what would happen next but even with all the ups and downs I wasn’t disappointed at all!
Coralee June took Hunter and Roe’s deceptively dark, twisted to infinity and angsty as hell level. The action and passion built a raging fire in my heart! All the steamy and filthy moments. All the jaw dropping and shocking twists. And an unusual yet oddly fascinating love story.
Hunter has left Roe. But now she is obsessed with her protector and stalker. Even when she knows this man is a deadly assassin. The role is reveresed and now Hunter is being hunted. Roe needs closure but will finding Hunter will give her peace? What is Hunter running from? Can two broken and twisted souls can find happily ever after? Specially when their past is chasing them and danger is threatening..
I loved Roe’s spirit so much. She has been through the traum but she can be fearless and a bit reckless when she wants something. And as for Hunter, I have a thing for bad guys. Hunter is whole new level of bad. He can be really cruel and cold and ruthless and moody. I wanted to slap him quite a few times. But I couldn’t help but melt completely when he goes uber possessive and super protective on Roe. Again in a sick and perverted way but I loved it. The writing brings the suspense and mystery to life so vividly!
A Lovely Confession by Coralee June was dark, deviant, intense and angsty. I felt a lot of conflicting feelings and I enjoyed the rollercoaster ride so much!
Wow! I finished this in a matter of a couple hours. I couldn’t put it down. The book picks up five years after the first book ended and it’s a wild ride indeed. Roe is the one obsessed and on the hunt for Hunter and I just loved getting to know her more and her inner dialogue. This is a story of kindred spirits needing to find their way again and we get that and more here!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

The is the second book in the Debt of Passion Duet from Coralee June. You have to have read A Lovely Obsession first to understand everything that is going one in A lovely Confession. Buckle up, because this is one wild ride and we know from the ending of A Lovely Obsession that Roe had not intention of letting Hunter walk away from her and vowed to find him. However five years have passed in the beginning of A Lovely Confession. Roe is still pining after Hunter and what they had and what could have been, but she has tired her best to start her life over and has two best friends. But after one night of partying she is determined to go and find Hunter more than ever and you do that by going to the head of the beast and begging for the information you need. Now the roles have reversed and Roe is now the stalker. She is not giving up until she has her man and the answers she needs. However Hunter has moved to a town in which no one should have been able to find him but the boss has been keeping tabs on him and needs him back. So a deal is struck and things just go off the rails from there one. Your heart is going to be in your throat and you are going to be devouring this book just like I was. I could give this book all the stars and I am still thinking about this book a week after finishing it. I just recently discovered Coralee June and loved her books so much I think I read them all in a matter of a month. If you haven’t tried her yet then this duet is a perfect place to start but I will warn you you will be going back and reading all about Sunshine and her Bullets and loving those. I can not wait to see what she gives us next. I fell like Roe and have now become a Coralee June stalker.
4.5 stars.
A Lovely Confession is the second part of Roe and Hunters story and picks up five years after A Lovely Obsession ends so you’ll want to be reading that prior to this book. I absolutely loved A Lovely Obsession and no one was more happy than I was with the way that book ended. I love Roe and Hunter together but they so badly needed to grow and live life, especially Roe. Just when I thought I couldn’t love her anymore than I already did, I got this book and a new, stronger, more determined Roe. This girl is so likeable and I loved her inner dialogue. Once the stalkee now the stalker (no matter how hard she tries to justify it she’s a stalker and I loved it) Roe isn’t giving up without a fight.
I fell for Hunter within seconds in the first book. I have a serious soft spot for any stalker (ahhh that explains my girl crush on Roe in this book) and Hunter was definitely one of my favourites. He’s tortured and guilt ridden and normally I love that but I found myself really disliking him in this book. It didn’t last long (I’m a fickle kinda girl) and even when I disliked him I was still rooting for him and Roe to get their acts together.
I really enjoyed both books in this duet. It has everything I love in a book and I didn’t put either book down once I started. Hunter and Roes story is addictive and honestly, I’m a little gutted it’s come to an end. Definitely recommend.
I was anxiously awaiting the conclusion to Hunter and Roes story and CJ did not disappoint! This book sucked me in and didn’t let go until I was finished at times I thought my heart was being squeezed to death or torn out , but the ending mended my poor heart back together thank god ! I loved how much Roe had grown and the strength and backbone she had and she didn’t give up until she had her man ! Hunter is such a ass but a sexy ass he is carrying so much guilt he is just drowning in it so my heart can’t help but love this sexy brooding assassin who at times is mean af to Roe but she doesn’t let him scare her away because she knows there love is worth fighting for . And I loved the poetry that CoraLee June had incorporated in the book was just brilliant! This book definitely gets my 5 stars and if you haven’t started this amazing duet than what are you waiting for ? You won’t be disappointed!

What a conclusion… another great read from this new to me author. Five years have past and Roe can’t get Hunter out of her mind… She embarks on a mission to hunt him down and force him to explain why he just left without a trace. Hold onto your hats this book is a doozy, it will keep you guessing as secrets are uncovered and friendships and loyalties are tested. This duet blew me away and what a perfect ending! I loved it.
A Lovely Confession by CoraLee June is book 2 in the Debt of Passion Duet. After the major cliffhanger in book 1, thankfully , we didn’t have to wait long for book 2.
I have to say, what a epic ride!! It was one mindblowing rollercoaster ride page after page..the angst, the raw gritty emotions – the obsessive, toxic feelings and the tragic, heartbreak. Hunter and Roe have this connection- one that has lasted and endured…it’s 5 years later ( in book 2) since everything happened in A Lovely Obsession and now we are finally getting a conclusion. This book is so charged; the characters are broken, their love is toxic and for Roe she is ready to get answers for the betrayal.
The pulsing action-packed storyline flows beautifully, along with the raw feels and the chemistry between Roe and Hunter. The push/pull in their relationship along with the twists and turns will keep you hooked. Without giving anything away, this is a deliciously dark and twisted romance read that will definitely leave you with a book hangover!!
My Rating: 4.8 stars *****
A Lovely Confession was a great addition to the Debt of Passion Duet. Coralee June did a great job on it. The plot was strong, it was packed with so many emotions. The story was written well. I couldn’t put it down. It didn’t matter how much time had passed. The obsession that Hunter and Roe had toward each other was still there, if anything it was stronger. They were drawn to each more than ever. The connection between them was stronger. Their chemistry was off the charts, it was steamy and sexy. They were great together.
I enjoyed this story, it was great. I’d suggest reading this story.
Thank you, Coralee June. Great work 🙂
WOW! This book is raw, real, intense, funny, sweet and so much more. I loved Hunter and Roe and I couldn’t be happier with the conclusion of their duet. Fabulous writing and an extraordinary ending!
