School teacher Nicole Davis is on summer break, but this vacation is unlike any other. Her beloved Grandmother’s final wish has landed Nicole smack in the middle of her favorite destination—Sunriver, Oregon, following Grams’s clues on a mysterious scavenger hunt. Unexpectedly, Nicole finds more than just a fellow sleuth in a handsome police officer, Mark Stone. But Mark must return to his job in … in Portland at summer’s end, and Nicole must guard her heart.
Mark is hoping for a quiet summer in Sunriver as he contemplates his future in law enforcement, but a string of burglaries draws him from his self-imposed break from detective work and thrusts him into the middle of the investigation. To complicate matters, Nicole is in jeopardy, and he knows his growing feelings for her could cloud his judgment. Will their differing career goals be the end of their summer romance—or just the beginning of forever after?

A sweet, inspirational romantic mystery set in a small Oregon town with believable characters and good storyline. I very much enjoyed all the books in this 3 book series (each can stand alone)–especially book two, my favorite (A Christmas Homecoming).
This story was so engaging with a light mystery in it as well as a sweet romance. The characters had to overcome their insecurities, which made it all the more satisfying for the reader.
Makes you wonder about the things that happen to people that make them afraid to love another person.
This was a delightful book to read. Thank you for the wonderful story with the lovely characters. Thank you too for the reminder to your readers that God is in control. We just need to acknowledge Him and trust Him to lead the way!! Merry Christmas!!!!
A very fun read as Nicole tries to find all the clues her late grandma left her in a real life scavenger hunt, with clean romance, a crime mystery, and a lot of life lessons thrown in.
A sweet, clean romance. Not great, but okay for during the lockdown.
A fun book to read.
Enjoyed reading it
A little mystery added a nice twist to a simple romance. However, the subplots were lacking depth and transitions were a bit clumsy. Easy read.
This was a nice, inspirational book. I appreciated the weaving of a relationship with God throughout it. And the treasure hunt & detective aspects were very enjoyable!
I liked reading this book because it presented an unusual scenario. It was not tritely predictable, and the characters felt real and believable. I would read more by this author.
Fun read especially since I have been to Sunriver Oregon!
Once again, Kimberly Rose Johnson has written a wonderful story. Mystery, intrigue, crime, love and faith in God all play important roles in the lives of the characters. Each page had me wanting to know what would happen next. The author writes with such detail and expression that I feel as if I know the characters and could be friends with them. The relationship between Nicole and Mark takes various twists and turns and keeps the reader alert. Every story that I have read by this author is great. I look forward to reading all her stories
I read all three books in this series. Kimberly Rose Johnson writes believable characters in realistic life situations. I also liked the element of faith in the books.
Not read
A really fun book to read. It was easy reading with more than one plot intertwining with each other. The inspiration was subtle yet with powerful results. I enjoyed this book so much I read the next book in the series. I recommend this book.
This was a beautiful love story.
Nice contemporary romance and interesting cast of characters and setting
If I could I would give this book 4.5 stars. I was entertaining. There were some funny parts and some intrigue. It was an enjoyable read.
Nice easy read.
