After living in the carnival world, Polina Kominski is anxious to put down roots and build a life that includes a permanent home and, someday, a family. But first, she has to spend Christmas in Kraków, Poland to satisfy the final request of her late mother. Angry at having her strings pulled one last time, she’s resigned to follow the detailed instructions left to her, but refuses to believe the … the superstitions and allusions to magic Mom wants her to experience. And what’s with number eight on her mother’s itinerary, Kiss a Stranger?
To avoid facing his family’s sins, international banker, Rhys Linsey, will travel the lengths of the globe in his quest to regain the collection of ancient artifacts stolen from him years ago. When he runs into Polina on a Kraków street, he volunteers to help her experience the beauty of the holiday while sharing the history and folklore of this charming city. No matter how much she denies the existence of magic, he’s determined to prove her wrong.
Christmas in Kraków weaves a powerful spell, but Polina is running toward her future, while Rhys is stubbornly mired in the past. Can the magic of the holiday extend beyond December to bring Rhys and Polina full-circle to love?

A fantastic, captivating holiday romance. Polina makes a death bed promise to go back to Krakow, Poland. While there, she meets Rhys. Sparks fly and love blossoms, but what happens when the person you love who loves you in return wants a different life than you want. Will Polina and Rhys be able to find the happiness they both crave or will life choices pull them apart? A heartwarming story of love and self discovery amidst Christmas with old Polish Christmas traditions. Gina Ardito welcomes readers into a Polish culture, with a well written story line and wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I absolutely loved A Love to Keep Me Warm.
Polina Kominski spent her childhood traveling with the circus and a promiscuous drunk mother. She was hurt by a man in the past who thought she was like her mother. Because she moved around a lot and lived a sparse existence she couldn’t get close to anyone outside the circus and has trouble letting people in and allowing others to help her. On her deathbed her mother makes her promise to go back to Poland where she was a born to leave her ashes and follow a list of wishes. Rhys Linsey has been traveling the world and running away from his father for the past twelve years unable to forgive him for selling his grandfather’s inheritance to him. Polina meets Rhys just as her mother and the fortune teller in Poland predicted. He sees her as his preordained future, but she’s afraid to let him close especially since she wants to put down roots and find lasting love and he wants to travel the world. I loved reading about the history and folklore of Poland and their fun Christmas traditions.

This was a cute little book. It was well written and full of love and passion. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This was a bit different love story for me. Set in Poland I got the chance to read about their Christmas traditions while reading the story. That always adds a very special element to a story it also shows an author in touch with her readers. The romance between Polina and Rhys was so sweet and so entertaining. Great characters and a good plot plus super awesome twists are all combined into a super book you really should read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
