A must read for sure!
It’s so beautifully written (like Pipers other books) and its angsty, romantic, believable.
I devoured this in only a few hours. It’s amazing!
For those who dont like cliffhangers, I recommend waiting ’till all the books are available.

Firstly I just have to say: holy smokes, that ending is insane.
So, I totally blazed through this book. It was one of my most anticipated books of the year (along with Dreamers, obviously) and it did not disappoint.
I have been loving on Annie and Tyler ever since forever wicked, and after all the angst and heartbreak in Liars I loved seeing them grow and bloom in this book.
The amount of heart in Piper’s writing is her biggest strength and she manages to captivate me, having me completely unable to put her books down.
5 stars and a rose preserved in time
This book is like the grown up, electric version of the first book. At first I was nervous about how Annie and Tyler would be after time apart. But that time was good for them and their relationship. THINGS HAPPEN in this book, is all I’ll say. Could I love Tyler any more?? The two of them are so great together and the extra cast of characters around them just adds the icing on the cake. Give me book #3!!!!
After having read A Love Song for Liars last month I couldn’t wait for the next book! I’ve been looking forward to finding out what was going to happen in this story next. I enjoyed this second installment!
Annie and Tyler’s story continues! After the first book, I wasn’t sure what all was going to happen with these two. I was so glad that I got to jump back into their world and their minds.
Once again, I so enjoyed how I felt it all with them! I liked the fact that I connected with these characters even more this time around, especially Tyler.
With A Love Song for Rebels, Ms.Lawson has created another awesome read! Oh, how I need book three, A Love Song for Dreamers in my life! I’ll be counting down the days until it’s here!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
Book 2 in the Rivals series and OMG what a story. This is a continuation of book 1 so you will need to read that get the feel of this book. Tyler and Annie meet up again at school and they chemistry and attraction that was between them was still there. Loved the slow burn and push/pull between them. Then the ending happened and I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. I don’t want to wait for book 3, I need to know how their story ends. Great read and wonderful character and very hard to put down. I read this in one sitting and loved every minute of it. Great job Piper. Loved this story and I can’t wait to read book 3.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
First off? I just love these two. They have that sweet, innocent, first love angst that comes with them. That sacrificing to make the other happy, putting the other’s need before their own, that idyllic “first love” vibe that they give off. When they met and fell in love t=they were kids. Now they are adults out in the world, trying to prove themselves, and everyone else. They have their own struggles, but not wanting to bother the other with them. Their group of friends quickly become close knit, which only adds to the story. This book has so many “awww” moments, and tons of heat. You can’t help but fall in love with these two from the start. The two of them have so much magnetism and chemistry! Makes for an amazing book.
I’m speechless!!! I’m in love!!! This series is a MUST MUST READ!!! Annie and Tyler’s story is not to be missed. What’s starts as an innocent friendship of confiding in each other, having the other’s back, growing pains and losing each other for a bit, they are now in college and a whole other level of friendship develops. Piper had me wanting to read more, guessing and not wanting what I thought to happen, to something else happening. My emotions were all over the place – open read, close book, because oh no that can’t be, to I’m speechless. It’s just the best love story with words like no other, lots of surprises, and let’s not get into the ending. I really need life to fast forward to the next book!!!
The second and last year in Valerian starts for Tyler with surprise, because the one that he let go is standing in front of him looking better than ever and all grow up. Annie doesn’t expect to see Tyler but what is she going to do? She is going to prove to everyone that she can make it. From the start, Tyler and Annie have this slow-burning dance that in this book explodes because Tyler doesn’t want Annie to be from anybody but his. I saw Tayler in completely different light maybe because he was a little grown-up and we see how deep is he in love with Annie by waiting on her. Annie still doesn’t have support from her father and that is still so disappointing but she is determined to make on her own I loved how unselfish she was and let Tyler shine. The book ends up with a huge cliffhanger and the story from Tyler and Annie is definitely not finished a lot can happen.
I received a review copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest voluntary review.
What a story, I was blown away by the first book, but this one was even more perfect, I loved it
Wow!!!! Just when I thought that the series was good, Piper took it next level. Tyler and Annie’s story continues as they both found out that they attended the same school in NYC. All that is needed to say about this book is the ending!!!! The angst, the deceit, the sex, the secondary characters, Jax and love are all reasons why you should continue this series. so good!!!!
A Love Song for Rebels follows both Annie and Tyler two years after he leaves her hanging without an explanation.
This series is a coming of age story where both characters want to make a name for themselves without outside influences and just want to be noticed for their talent.
The chemistry between Annie and Tyler is so on point with this book you can’t help but root for them and their happiness.
Together they are a powerhouse; you can’t help but feel the love they have for one another. They each have this vulnerability that the other is drawn to and that is why their connection is so strong.
You can’t go wrong with this series! Awesome job Piper.
I’m loving this beautiful story as it continues with Tyler and Annie reconnecting slowly and showing support for each other over time. Annie is harboring a secret that Tyler feels she should share…she wants to wait until a certain event which leads to things going differently. I love how the relationship dynamic evolved as they are now more mature. The ending was a complete surprise that left me hanging! I cannot wait to see what happens next!
After Tyler broke Annie’s heart in book one the last thing she thought about was seeing him again let alone them attending the same college but these two can’t deny the chemistry and attraction they have to each other no matter how much they wish they could. I loved seeing the growth in Tyler and Annie and seeing certain realizations finally hit them. Can’t wait for the next book!
A Love Song For Rebels is the continuation of Annie and Tyler’s journey through life. They are now young Adults who can make their own decisions and deal with the consequences of their choices. The chemistry between Annie and Tyler is unparalleled.
“You taught me to want things I never let myself want. You taught me to dream.”
The supporting characters add some different personalities that adds a little bit of mystery and humour. I can not wait for book #3 A love song for Dreamers on June 24,2020.

Arc received for honest review.
I absolutely loved this continuation of Tyler and Annie’s story. This book has all the feels. I love how much Annie has grown as a woman despite the adversity she faces from her dad when it comes to her dreams. I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store and how things end for the two. I’m hoping for a happily ever after.
This series is phenomenal!! I love the characters! This story took me on one heck of a roller coaster ride! I have read a lot of rock star series, and this one takes the cake!!
Rating:
Semi-Sweet Rockstar Romance
I enjoyed getting back into the lives of Tyler and Annie. This book had great character development of the two main characters and I really like the setting and storyline but I think there could possibly have been something else added. I guess it didn’t have the suspense and tension that the previous book had. It was still a very good book in my mind, I just think it wasn’t quite as good as Love Notes and A Love Song for Liars.
In the previous books we found out that Annie and Tyler have known each other since they were kids. Annie is the Daughter of Jax Jamieson who was one of the biggest rockstars on the planet before he retired a few years ago. Annie didn’t grow up with Jax, she thought he was an uncle until she overheard that he was in fact her father and the people she thought were her parents were actually her aunt and uncle.
This book starts out with Annie and Tyler both at the same performing Arts College in New York. Annie had auditioned in the spring and was accepted but her Dad wouldn’t let her go, because he didn’t want her to go through some of the things he went through in the music industry. But that school is all Annie wants and music is the only thing she wants to do, so she goes and tells Jax she is at Columbia.
Annie and Tyler run into each other right away and it isn’t long before they are seeing each other again despite how it ended last time. I did think they got back together a bit quickly, but I like their passion for each other.
The one thing I sort of had issue with is that in the last book, Annie had the lead in the school musical The Little Mermaid. She was jealous of the fact that Jax spent all his time helping Tyler with his music and showing him the business while absolutely refusing to think that she might be as talented as Tyler. So Annie really wanted her father to see her in the play so he would notice how good she was and take her seriously as an artist.
In this book Annie is lying to her Dad about the fact that she is going to a performing arts school and she knows that she will have to tell him sooner or later. However, she wants it to be at a time when he can see how well she is doing so he will agree she belongs there. She pins her hopes on winning a spot in the fall showcase and having Jax see her perform. It just seemed a bit redundant. Too similar to the last book, I guess.
I really liked the interactions between Annie and Tyler though. The romance was sweet, but not too sweet. They had some steamy moments and they were meant to be together. The supporting characters were great. I especially liked Heath, her fish.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the second book in the Rivals series and wow!! I thought I was swooning over Tyler in the first book but the second, Wow! Beautifully written and loved every second of it. The sacrifices and love between Annie and Tyler are amazing and so special. It was fun to read about them in college and you will meet some other great characters there too! Total shock at the end and I must read the next one now!!! Highly recommend this beauty!
THIS SERIES IS GOING TO DESTROY ME!!!!!
A Love Song for Rebels is book 2 in this incredible series and just like the prequel and book 1, it is absolutely amazing!!!
I received my ARC at 8:30pm and I made the rookie error of starting it right away! Once I started, I couldn’t stop! So now I am trying to survive on a few hours sleep with a one year old. Tyler and Annie are totally worth it though!!!
Tyler Adams is so dreamy!!! He is one of those characters you just want to drag from the book and lock him in a room so he’s yours forever! After the ending of the first book, I was absolutely distraught and I had no idea what to expect from book 2 and if he could make up for what he had done and the heartbreak he left behind – not just Annie but to every woman reading this series! But he managed to redeem himself and I fell in love with him all over again!
I loved every second, every page!! Except that ending…. once again, we end on a cliffhanger that pretty much destroys your soul and makes your heart crack in two! PIPER LAWSON!!!! WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO US?!?!? I feel like I’m dying… I need to know what happens next!!!!
Love this entire series
