Well developed with a great pace.
This was a really interesting storyline. A tragic event causes Ruth to accept her friend’s idea of what might help Ruth move on. It sounded okay but a bit scary. Then while traveling to her new life fate again stepped in. This poor character goes from one horrible thing to another I am surprised Ruth was as strong of a character as she was. Sheriff Garrett is another outstanding character in this story. The characters are very well developed and the pace of the story was good. Carol Colyer has a brilliant way of bringing every emotion in the story alive. Great job by the author! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
A well written story that held my interest throughout. Sheriff Garrett Hughes and Ruth Wagner will have a lot to overcome before they get their happy ending. I know I will be rereading this story at a later time. I enjoyed reading this book it has a good storyline with pages that flow smoothly from one to the other.
This is the most compelling, yet heart wrenching, spell binding. heart warming stories I have read in a long time. It is a story of tragedy, death, a train accident, amnesia, unsavory characters, second chances, romances and a HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I would suggest you not start reading it late in the evening unless you want to stay up late to finish as it is a real page turner and you won’t want to put it down until finished!!!

After the death of Ruth’s parents in a fire she feels she can no longer stay in NY City because all the places hold memories for her. Her former neighbor suggests she look into becoming a mail order bride!
Garrett is still morning the death of his fiancé when her brother suggests it’s time to move on and tells him of the marriage times ! He starts a correspondence with Ruth.
This book is about romance, adventure and mystery and tragedy! The characters are wonderful, kind, Christian men and women who make each other’s lives better! It was an uplifting book. I love this author and this book.
Tight knit mystery, inside a historical mail order bride tale. Well put together storylines (including train wrecks, murder and corruption), lead to page turning goodness! Ruth, Garret, Jake and Lavinia are strong leads that bring it all together; while Emma, May and Mary add depth and reality. Recommend this memorable read.
ONE HEART WRETCHING EXPERIENCE!!!
OMG! Talk about a gripping experience. One skillfully laid storyline with an thrilling plot that rocks this jewel from the git-go. Carol really brought out the big guns in this tough as nails, on point realism that spins so intense, bursting with emotions bringing this gripping tale to life perfectly. The tension is thick, the heartbreak justifiable and the suspense is skyrocketing. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together flawlessly. The characters are authentic, relatable and so realistic with depth and qualities its easy to get swept away. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it paints a wonderful backdrop that gives the illusion your right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Carol, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
This book kept me engaged with the characters. I wanted to know what happened with them. Ruth and Garrett have both been through a lot before they meet. Garrett’s patience really stands out. Carol Colyer’s story is one that keeps you reading to see more than just the plot but how the characters respond to it. I truly enjoyed reading this book and meeting these characters. Both Ruth and Garrett have big hearts
