Every romance needs a little adventure, and these light-hearted romances are perfect for fans of romantic suspense who want to get away from it all. This trilogy contains the first three books in the Love on the Run series. Never Say Necklace – Carlie has searched for Cleopatra’s necklace her entire life, and when she finally locates it, nothing will stop her from finishing her father’s business.… her father’s business.
Emeralds Are Forever – Dee has always wanted to go on adventures like her friend, and when Carlie disappears, Dee finally gets her chance. She just hopes it’s not too late.
The Crown is Not Enough – Dani is happy enough leaving all the adventuring to her friends. But when an ancient crown shows up at her door, she is pulled into the world she’d been avoiding for so long.

Emeralds Are Forever is a very exciting, interesting edge of your seat adventure with a clean romance as well. This story works as a stand alone, but now I want to read the first book, too. The characters are well developed – and amazing. Regarding the plot, you have secret agents , spies or adventurers, an ordinary civilian, shadowy evil figures, expert surveillance, computer hacking, a romance and even a jet pack. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good escapist adventure.
I love the stories in this series. The Crown is Not Enough can be read as a stand alone, but will be even better if you have read the other two books first. This is a fast paced mystery with a touch of romance. The characters are a lot of fun. It really gets hard to decide who to believe as things are revealed to not actually be as they were first presented. Once I started this story, I just had to sit down and finish it. I love it and think you just might enjoy it as well.
Love on the Run Trilogy:
Never Say Necklace #1 – Even though I read Emeralds are Forever first, full of spoilers, that didn’t keep me from enjoying NSN, the first book of the series. NSN is another well written, action-packed, humorous story with an interesting plot. The characters, again, are interesting and they do grow more in EAF. Their dialogue is realistic and there aren’t any stupid formulas or drama, just plain entertainment. I love this author’s work and look forward to more of her books, for which I’ll keep volunteering to review. 5*
Emeralds are Forever #2 – This is my first book of this series and I didn’t miss the previous book. There was just enough mentioning of events in the previous book that kept the reader informed without retelling the story. Emeralds is a well written, interesting book with action, romance and suspense. The characters are interesting and get more so as the book advances to the end. Their dialogue is realistic, humorous and there’s none of the mind games or silly formulas. I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read so far by Ms. Hardy/Ms. Weist. I volunteered to review her books many books ago. 5*
The Crown is Not Enough #3 – OK, there a couple of things that I couldn’t ignore; like setting the fire alarm – unacceptable, bad behavior and what they did after the alarm – say huh? But this third addition to the series is well written, well thought out but with a couple of unrealistic burps, along with being fast paced and intriguing, and humorous. The characters are still interesting and funny, amongst some that you wonder about; especially with the mismatched bedrooms. The multiple storylines, along with the main plot, keep the reader immersed in the pages. I recommend reading all three in order, but this one works by itself; you just won’t know the rest of the stories. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Royale #4 – Another good addition to the series. Quickly read but entertaining with intrigue and suspense, and a touch of romance, and interesting storylines. I love the way Ms. Hardy snuck in some of the characters and places from her Silver Script and Cottonwood Ranch series. There was a large family feeling with those additions and made the story flow well. Of course, all the characters are likable, some lovable and all realistic. No stupid formulas, vulgar language or explicit sex; my type of story. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Love on the Run Trilogy – series end.
Silver Script Set Books 1 – 7: Interesting. Heartwarming. Fun to read. Perfect with a cuppa. All the stories involve employees of the Silver Script, an advertising agency, with a gamut of friends and clients. The TOC needs editing: book titles are missing, but the links work correctly.
Ring of Truth #1 – I love this book! Ms. Hardy always writes a heartwarming story that keeps the reader captivated. There’s a romance in the works, suspense and plenty of humor. An innocent romance without the Hollywood life garbage that’s forced on us daily. The characters are lovable, with plenty of personality. The well thought out story line is interesting and there’s no stupidity formula common in books of this genre. Perfect for a relaxing time with a cuppa. 5*
The Cottonwood Ranch is a wonderful, heartwarming series. Clean, realistic, well written stories filled with fun characters, great descriptions and no stupid formulas. Whether writing as Jaclyn Weist or Jaclyn Hardy, her work is entertaining and filled with love.
Roping His Heart #1 – Heartwarming! A well written, humorous romance with lovable characters and real dialogue. This story was so good I read it in one sitting and was sad when it ended. I look forward to reading more of this author. I volunteered to ARC the Mansion series. 5*
