Jaded Army medic Ryan Malone never expected his next mission would bring him back from Afghanistan to tiny Wishful, Mississippi. His great uncle’s health is failing and the cantankerous old coot has pushed everyone in the family away. Ryan is their last resort to get Uncle Percy to move into assisted living before he breaks a hip—or something worse. He’s looking to get in, get it done, and get … back out. That definitely doesn’t include taking time out for a sweet-faced waitress with a heart bigger than the Atlantic.
Interior designer Hannah Wheeler is a long way from the high-powered clients of her old Atlanta firm. Despite the fact that she’s currently spending her days waiting tables, she’s discovered she really enjoys the small-town life she found with her sister. This Christmas season, she’s finally ready to introduce Wishful to her true capabilities by using her skills to spread some holiday spirit. But with Ryan and Percy, she’s definitely got her work cut out for her.
Will Hannah’s evergreen cheer thaw their frosty hearts and remind these two that the most important part of the holidays is family?

I loved this from beginning to end. Ryan and Hannah meet with Ryan leaving the wrong impression. Hannah didn’t know that he was the nephew for the man she was hired to bring some Christmas spirit to his home with a festive holiday makeover. Ryan is dealing with issues from being a SEAL and his uncle Percy is dealing with the loss of his wife. Hannah is determined to help the both open up to some Christmas spirit. It’s a journey filled with humor and good intentions! They are meant for each other if they can just get out of each others way!

Kate Nolan brings you Ryan and Hannah is this fun Christmas story just in time to get in the Christmas spirit. This is a great story about an Army Medic helping “family” and finding love along the way. You may laugh and cry along the way but what a great way to start off the holiday season.

Another great romance by Kait Nolan. Her books are sweet, funny, and romantic. This one did not disappoint.
Hannah is living in Wishful with her sister while she recovers from a health scare and tries to decide what to do with her life.
Ryan is a military man in the special forces. He doesn’t have time for relationships.
Ryan takes a leave from the military to check on his “Uncle” Percy.
The three join forces to decorate Percy’s home for Christmas. Everyone starts trying to play matchmaker.
I love how the book shows the different challenges each character is facing and how their relationships with each other help them overcome the obstacles they are facing.

This was such a sweet and heartwarming story. I loved this wonderful Christmas tale full of love and romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
A sick uncle brings Jared Malone to Wishful just before Christmas. Where he runs into a women who does Christmas like no other.
Hannah Wheeler loves everything about Christmastime. While she’s decorating Wishful she meets Army hottie Jared.
This book is a very easy read. It draws you in with grumpy uncles and adorable dogs. The fact that Jared and Hannah have enough heat to keep you warm, doesn’t hurt a bit.
I’m loving Wishful. Can’t wait to see what Kait Nolan has in store next.

Hannah and Ryan have an unusual first meeting. She is so adorable and has such a loving, giving heart. He is jaded by his job but loves his family. Uncle Percy was a hoot and I loved his “love story” too. Two people with sorrow in their pasts come together to help others. I liked how their relationship developed and each of them grew. I love Wishful and the author makes me feel like I am a part of the town.

Thank you Kait Nolan for this heartwarming story about Hannah and Jared. I love the holiday season and good deeds people do for others. This story brings it all together and makes you feel happy that in our crazy world, people still look out for the elderly. Read how Hannah and Jared find a way to help his elderly Unclevand bring back the Christmas joy!

This recent trip back to Wishful did not disappoint! Absolutely loved Ryan and Hannah’s story. From the way they met to how they fell, it was a sweet story. As Kait says in her blurb, it’s. Hallmark Channel movie in the making!!

There is nothing at all quite like a Wishful Christmas. I’m a sucker for a military hero and I simply ADORE Wishful. Pair these things together and I’m happier than a cat with her own garden full of catnip. Hanna embodies the Christmas spirit I wish I could maintain. Her unrelenting delight in the season is awe inspiring to witness. Being in military service and having seen and done what he has, Ryan’s a bit more cynical about the season. So, what happens when the burned-out army medic is forced to spend time with the holiday elf? A Christmas miracle. And in case you didn’t already realize, keep the tissues handy because, like me, you’ll probably need them before you get to the end.

Kait Nolan has done it again! When she write about a town, she makes the reader want to move there and become a part of the community! “A Lot Like Christmas” is another installment in the “Wishful” series. This town is full of characters that you want as friends and a community where you want to live! Hannah has moved to Wishful, Mississippi to live with her sister while she recovers from an accident. As she heals both physically and mentally, she works as a waitress in the town diner. One cold night, she spies a man outside the diner who she believes to be homeless. She invites him in for a warm cup of coffee. He comes in and sits down and Hannah treats him with the same respect she would show anyone. She even brings him a meal and pays for it out of her own pocket. She has no idea that the “homeless veteran” is actually a part of the Special Ops in the army and in Wishful to help take care of his great uncle.
I love the way both Ryan and Hannah are dealing with their own demons and are able to help each other to conquer their fears. Kait Nolan has a unique talent of weaving current issues into each of her stories while not bombarding the reader with a depressing story line. She has just the right amount of humor, poignancy, and love to make the reader want to read more and more.
If hanging out in Wishful doesn’t rev your Christmas spirit, you might be a hopeless cause. I wanted MORE from this book because it was over TOO SOON.
Although I loved the characters, they felt a little shallower than most that Nolan introduces us to in Wishful. Maybe because the book was shorter? I don’t know, but the obstacles for this couple didn’t make me worry for them.
The problems they faced? Real. And the tension was high. In the climactic scene, I was breathless along with these characters.
Another wonderful visit to Wishful. I can hardly wait for the next one.
The best yet!!! With every new Kait Nolan release, I find a new favorite, but this one takes the cake!!! A Lot Like Christmas is my FAVE!!! When Ryan, a Delta Force medic, checks on his adopted elderly uncle while he is on leave, meets Hannah, the town Christmas Cheer-meister, lonely Uncle Percy gets to play Christmas match maker, all the while Uncle Percy is being matched up himself. The chemistry and fire between Ryan and Hannah is undeniable, regardless of intentions. Mr. Boyscout, Ryan touches the soft spot I have for the servicemen and woman in uniform. Not only is this my favorite Kait Nolan book, but it ranks at the top of my all-time favorite list! Kait Nolan doesn’t disappoint!!!

what can I say? Another great story by a great author. From late in the evening into the early hours of the morning I just had to read this story from beginning to end. I hope there’s more stories to come but in the meantime I’m going to re-read this series in the very near future.

This story drew me in from the first sentence. Ryan and Hannah are the type of characters that you can’t help but to cheer for. As with all of Kait Nolans’ books, this book provides a sweet escape with a happy ending.

Nolan brings readers back to Wishful, Mississippi for the holidays in this short Christmas romance. Hannah Wheeler is recovered, mostly, from her terrible car accident over a year ago. She should get on with her “real” life, but she likes it in Wishful and is looking for a way to merge the old life with the new life. Ryan Malone is taking leave from his military career to make sure his uncle is well enough to continue living alone.
Christmas brings people together. Hannah and Ryan are drawn to each other from the beginning. Even when Hannah believes he is homeless and offers him coffee and kindness. This is a sweet romance with a head of steam. Can these two build a new relationship long distance? There is always hope in Wishful.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre.

What a touching story! I was moved from beginning to the end. I love the Wishful series and Ryan’s and Hannah’s story is one of the best books of that series by far.

This novella is perfect to get you in the Christmas spirit and short enough that you will still have plenty of time to shop, wrap, and decorate! What a sweet story of a few broken people finding the person (or dog) they need to be whole again! I love how other Wishful characters are sprinkled in the story. I mean, who doesn’t love the Casserole Patrol? Loved it!

Really good read. What I have come to expect from Kait Nolan. Never bad when you have a dog involved. Ryan and Hannah’s story has some twists and turns, Throw in a cantankerous uncle, and you get a great story. I can’t say more without spoiling it and I hate to do that for people. So just read it for yourself.

Ryan and Heather, what a couple. Both had things to work through together and on their own. Love this Christmas story. Great addition to the wishful series, get to see some old familiar faces but as all the books in the series it is a stand alone.would recommend
