This book is the final book of a series called The Spinsters Guild, a group of unusual ladies who are almost “on the shelf”. Can Lady Emily help them find their perfect match?

I loved this regency book. There were wonderful characters and an exciting and mysterious storyline. This is the first spinsters guild book I’ve read and if it was any indication I’m sure the previous books are amazing also.

The fifth and last book in The Spinsters Guild series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Lady Beatrice Thornton and Frederick, Earl of Greaves’ story there is suspense, drama, danger, blackmail, betrayal, twists, turns, and romance. We get to read more also of Lady Emily Smithton and the man she loves Lord Havisham, also all the ladies get together at the end for a very special day. This is a book I recommend if you have been falling this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
ONE WILD TUMULTUOUS RIDE!!!
Pay back! Rose lowers the boom, tackling the ton and thrusting regency into the eye of the storm, racking ’em up and laying ’em out, melding this baby together piece by piece flawlessly. Disbursing incredibly, delightful scenario’s so intense you feel the pulse racing, electrifying hum running rampant through your veins. Carefully treading the trials and tribulations, sharp twists, thin corners and sleek lines, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Struggling with the drama, betrayal, deceit, kidnapping, intrigue, danger and suspense surges, blasting this baby into a tailspin with staggering impacts. Add turmoil and distress and you have one intense rollercoaster ride. Mastering the ups and downs, weaving a cocoon so intricately and tight, draws you deeper into this tangled web until everything else ceases to exist. The characters on point personalities balance and blend playing off one another delightfully. The scenes are so colorfully descriptive to give you a full understanding and realism that blend and flows smoothly. Remarkable job Rose, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.
I love this book and the whole series, I am a little sad to see it’s end, but happy with the outcome! Lady Beatrice when she heard what her father had said about her mother and her in public where all of the Ton would know about it. She jumps into Lord Greaves carriage and would not get out so he took her to her father’s home so she did not have to be in public any longer enduring the gossip. There was a lot of twist and turns in the book and a few surprises that kept me reading till late into the night. I loved the end where Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham, finally got their happy ever after too. After helping the four Lady’s of the Spinster’s Guild find their happy ever after the Spinster’s Guild was closed and Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham was able to court themselves and then marry at long last. A beautiful ending to the series. I recommend that you read the whole series, you will enjoy it very much, Rose Pearson is an excellent author and has many other books as well to enjoy. Love all your books Rose Pearson!

I really enjoyed this one.
For the most part, I have enjoyed this series, to be honest, I was not too sure about the first book but the others have been good. I really enjoyed this one Beatrice’s father is beyond horrible the pain he caused her was just mean. Thank God for Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham with their help she found her strength to just be herself. Now Frederick our other main character not only has a relationship with Beatrice to come to terms with but also another very pressing problem. This tale with a bit of mystery, a man finding out there is more to life than what he thought, and strong friends will make your day. Plus there is more than one couple who maybe finding what they want in life. I highly recommend this charmer. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Trying to recover from a scandal created when her drunken father implied he might not be her father, Lady Beatrice seeks help from Lady Smithton. At the same time, the Earl of Greaves is trying to unravel a mystery surrounding his brother. One event leads to another as Lord Greaves continually finds himself in the company of Lady Beatrice, a woman he once discounted as being too emotional. He slowly realizes his first impression was wrong, as he finds himself falling in love with her. However, he had been very rude to her in the past. Will the time together allow her to forgive him?
A book well worth reading if you enjoy Regency Romance with a mix of intrigue.
I enjoyed this book and this series! Lord Greaves is not looking for marriage – none of the young ladies he has met have suited him. Lady Beatrice has been shamed by her drunken father. Family drama, some mystery and of course some romance keeps you interested. A wonderful ending! I highly recommend!

This was a good read, just not one of my favorites that the author has written. There were some coincidences in the story that were a little too hard to believe to get the main characters together. However, the main characters are all likable and it was easy to sympathize with both of them, and Pearson’s books always have happy endings. It was also nice to see Lady Smithton’s and Lord Havisham’s relationship being discussed.
I enjoyed this book! The characters were well written, the plot was well thought out, and overall this was an enjoyable read. Lord Greaves comes off as a pompous man at first, but then he meets Lady Beatrice. His first impression of her is that she cries a lot. But Lady Beatrice proves herself invaluable to him. This book has a hint of mystery, romance and drama. Just enough to keep you entertained. I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend it.

This is book 5 of the Spinsters Guild series and is is a great addition to the series complete with drama, mystery, romance and well developed characters. Lady Beatrice is desperate to find a husband and Lady Smithton promises to help her find one and it is the very pompus Lord Graves. This is the final book of the series and a wonderful series it is.

I have really enjoyed reading about the spinsters guild and this is the best book yet. It captivated me from the beginning. I loved the ending.
The final book of The Spinsters Guild is another great story with a surprise twist. Lady Beatrice, mistakingly climbing into Lord Greaves’ carriage in a state of high distress, is labelled as too emotional by the Lord at the start of this tale. Tainted by gossip Lady Beatrice seeks help from Lady Smithton and The Spinster Guild. Consequently slighted by Frederick, Lord Greaves on her very first outing, starts a convoluted tale where Lady Beatrice and The Spinster Guild help Lord Greaves with a mystery of his own! Loved it! Couldn’t put it down. Sad that this is the final one as have loved the whole premise for the series.

He is reluctant to help but does. His is all about keeping appearances with the ton. He learns his brother has been kidnapped and money for his return. But when Lady Beatrice finds the note he is forced to seek the lady out even though he thinks she is to sad and wealthy.
I enjoyed reading this book. I do wish there were more in this series.

Lady Beatrice Thornton is hearing whispers everywhere she goes. Ladies are smirking and staring at her, but she has no idea why! She sees a bookshop ahead and hurries into it to get away from the embarrassment. She has always behaved appropriately. Her father, the Marquess of Burnley, had accompanied her to London and furnished her with a companion, Mrs. Watson, even though his motivation was to get her married and out of his estate. But even in the bookshop, she was not to find peace as she heard two gossips say that Lord Burnley had told others, while they were all playing cards and getting drunk, that he believed his wife played him false and Lady Beatrice was not his own flesh and blood! She would never be able to lift her head up in society again and all hopes of a match were now gone since no gentleman would marry a young lady who had a question over her parentage, even if it were not true. What would she do now?
When she finally became aware again, she heard two women talking about a Lady Smithton who could help find a husband even in the most desperate situations. Just then her maid asked if she could find a hackney for Beatrice, and her kindness was much appreciated.
Frederick, Earl of Greaves, steps into his carriage, only to find his brother, Mr. Adlington, already in it and wanting to talk to him. He was surprised to hear that he intended to marry and had come to London to find a bride. Adlington even commented that Frederick should also be looking since he needed an heir to carry on the title. But his purpose in talking to Frederick was to ask his recommendation for a lady who might be willing to marry someone like him since Frederick has spent more time in Society than Adlington has and has met more of the ladies. While Adlington looked only at the pretty ones, Frederick was looking at all of their qualities and strengths, considering each carefully. Adlington asked the drive to stop and he walked toward his room. But suddenly as Frederick started to get back in his carriage, a young woman pushed past him and climbed in! Her maid explained she was seeking refuge and climbed into the wrong carriage. He saw the woman was crying. As he told her that her own hackney was waiting, it took another passenger and left. Then the maid climbed into his carriage as well to hand her a lace handkerchief. The maid told Frederick where Beatrice needed to go and he had his driver take her home since there was little else he could do.
Lady Smithton arranged for Lord Havisham to show society that he has no discomfort about being acquainted with Lady Beatrice by walking together in the park and dancing with her at whatever ball they attend. He also has to go to White’s and defend her reputation. At that point, to prevent their gossiping about Havisham and Beatrice, Havisham will begin to court Lady Smithton. Since he has had a strong interest in her for some time, he was delighted to comply with the plan. The first dance went off very well, but Beatrice thought she recognized one of the men. When he came over later to Lord Havisham, she was introduced to him and remembered he had taken her home on that awful day when she learned what her father had said about her. When Lady Smithton suggested Lord Greaves might sign Beatrice’s dance card, he immediately declined and walked away! Beatrice didn’t realize it was not because of the rumor about her legitimacy, but rather his thought that she was not a strong person as he would want in a wife, having totally succumbed to her tears as she had that day. Will he ever discover that he interpreted that situation incorrectly? Will he allow his heart to show him that she might have all the qualities he has been looking for all this time? Perhaps their promised dance at the next ball will enlighten both of them?
As always, this author writes wonderful stories that draw the reader in and presents characters one cannot help but admire. There are many things going on in this story line, but there is hope that a HEA is waiting out there if only things will correctly align! Grab your copy of this intriguing book and see what it waiting for Lady Beatrice and Lord Greaves.
They will overcome heartache, tragedy, and seemingly insurmountable odds to find a love that lasts a lifetime. This story has twists and turns you don’t see coming until the end. Well worth your time!!

“A Lord Undone” by Rose Pearson
I do love a well written sweet clean Regency romance and this is one of those stories. I loved the light suspense/mystery related in this stand-alone tale. A truly fun adventure in Regency London, England. Wishing you.. Happy Reading ! !
A wonderful end to this series. Lady Beatrice is rejected by her father as possibly being illegitimate. She meets Lord Frederick and helps him locate his kidnapped brother. They fall in love.
Wonderful love story. A man who only wants a woman who is unemotional . . . and even though he finds her attractive she is MUCH too emotional. Danger – for his brother!! What can he do? And she thinks she can help him? Really?? Loved this book!!!! Read it – you will enjoy it!!

The final book in the series, it could be read on its own but to fully appreciate it & Lady Smithton I’d recommend reading from the beginning. Poor Beatrice having to live with her drunken, gambling indiscreet father she deserved better, I really liked her & how she grew in confidence. Oh Frederick he was so pernickety but he also became far more caring as the story unfolded. A well written story that flowed well. The stars of the book & the series are Lady Smithton & Lord Havisham especially Havisham who I’ve loved throughout the series.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
