Lady Beatrice Thornton is surrounded by gossip. Her drunken father has made it known that there is some question over the legitimacy of her birth and now she can barely lift her head in society. Desperate for aid, she is more than grateful for the assistance of Lady Smithton, who promises that she will help her find a husband.Whilst seeking solace in a bookshop one afternoon, Beatrice is … afternoon, Beatrice is astonished to discover a mysterious note slipped in between the pages of a book. Knowing she should not keep it, she cannot help but take it home, hoping that it will take her mind from her difficult circumstances.
Frederick, Earl of Greaves, is a stickler for propriety. It is all the more irritating to him that he has had to step into an unscrupulous situation in order to rescue his brother. What makes matters worse is that the last note has somehow gone missing and that, somehow, a young lady has become entwined in it too!
Determined he will have to remove her from this situation at once, Fredrick goes in search of her and discovers that he may have to involve himself with her more fully than he ever intended.
This book is the final book of a series called The Spinsters Guild, a group of unusual ladies who are almost “on the shelf”. Can Lady Emily help them find their perfect match?

Rose Pearson always writes a book that I can settled down with expecting a good read. All of this series is exceptional in the clean historical romance genre. I am awaiting her new series which will be debut at the end of the month.
Lord Greasley is a very exacting man. He follows the rules of the ton to the letter! He doesn’t abide gossip and fear there isn’t a woman in the world to meet his standards. When a distraught young woman appears in his carriage he is disgusted but being the perfect gentleman he feels obligated to take her home.
Lady Beatrice is horrified to hear that her drunkard of a father has spread rumors that he isn’t even sure his daughter is his! Yet he finds her a burden on his finances and wants her married off soon. Of course he doesn’t think the rumors he’s started will have any effect on that. Soon Lady Beatrice learns of the Spinsters Guild and seeks out Lady Smithton immediately. With her help and that of Lord Havisham she is on the way to being matched. When she discovers a mysterious note in a book she feels the need to take it. Later Lord Greasley seems her out to get the note. When she discovers his brother has been kidnapped she immediately insists on helping. I really have loved this series! Lady Smithson seems to find a perfect match for each of her “girls”. I was very happy to see Lady Smithson finally getting her HEA! I highly recommend this book and this series! Rose Pearson is the queen of Regency romance!

What a wonderful Regency romance and the perfect conclusion to The Spinsters Guild series. I was completely captivated from the beginning and wasn’t ready for the book to end when I got to the last page. I really liked the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Lady Beatrice Thornton and Earl of Greaves. I am sad to say goodbye to Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham but look forward to more great reads from gifted author Rose Pearson. So with A Lord Undone I bid adieu to Rose Pearson’s excellent series, The Spinsters Guild. I always hate to say goodbye to new book friends but it is especially true to with a Lord Undone. I have come to love the women of The Spinsters Guild. I could easily imagine them being part of my gang of best friends! I so relate to these characters who are outside society’s norm of beautiful. Yet, through the words of Rose Pearson, her characters grow into beautiful women in their own right. The ballrooms, drawing rooms and even Hyde Park come alive with Rose Pearson’s remarkable word craft! An added feature with A Lord Undone is the touch of mystery and suspense to this novel’s plot!
Overall, I love this series! With every additional book it got better and better. A Lord Undone is a fitting end to an entertaining series! Bravo, Rose! Bravo!
A wonderfully well written book with love and romance and has wonderful characters that will keep you reading to the end.
There are some great parts I didn’t expect which I loved.

Lady Beatrice Thornton is the daughter
of the Marquess of Burnley. Or so she
believes until father in a drunken state
announces that he is not the her real
father.
Lady Beatrice becomes the scandal of
the ton.
In a state of disarray, Lady Beatrice
stumbles into the carriage of Frederick,
Earl of Greaves. He is appalled by her
behavior.
Lady Beatrice calls upon Lady Smithton
to receive aide in overcoming the ton gossip.
Little did Lady Beatrice, Lady Smithton and
Lord Havisham know that getting involved
with Lord Greaves would lead to drama,
danger, suspense, kidnapping, betrayal,
blackmail, unsavory characters and take
them on an puzzling adventure. Add
undeniable chemistry and romance to
round out the story.
A well written, suspenseful tale with colorful,
well defined and extremely interesting.
This is book # 5 in the Spinsters Guild series.
It can be read as a stand along quite
effortlessly. A great series!!!
A Highly Recommended Read.
I volunteered to read A Lord Undone.
Thanks to the author via Booksprout for
the opportunity. My opinion is voluntary and
my own.
I loved Frederick and Beatrice’s story. A wake up for Frederick in that the perfect woman was in front of him. I also loved seeing the end of Lady Smithfield and Lord Havisham’s story as well. If you love sweet, clean, Regency romance with some suspense, you will love this book and series.

Quite proper Lord Frederick Grieves is taken aback by the hysterical young woman who jumps into his just stopped carriage. Lady Beatrice Burnley has just heard rumors that turn her world upside down! Happenstance throws these two unlikely partners together in search for answers to their individual dilemmas and mystery and mayhem ensue! She balances out his too perfectly idealistic perception of what life should be in their hot pursuit of his perfidious brother.

Lady Beatrice Thornton was sure her chances of finding a husband were slim after her drunken father had claimed she was illegitimate. She seeks assistance from Lady Smithton who promises Beatrice she will help her find a husband. One afternoon she found a note in a bookstore and became interested in the mystery of the note. Frederick, the Earl of Greaves, was trying to find his brother and the note Beatrice had found was a clue. He wasn’t wanting any help but couldn’t turn down Beatrice’s offer. As they searched for clues, their regard for each other grew. Frederick hadn’t been looking for a wife, but he realized that he wanted Beatrice in his life forever. This was such a sweet romance and had a nice mystery to it.
True Love Prevails
This is the fifth and final installment inThe Spinster’s Guild series. It is also my least favorite because I knew when Lord Havisham finally won Lady Smithton over it would be the end. I knew it was coming but I still was not ready for it. Lord Havishams love never wavered he stayed tried and true until Lady Smithton was sure of his love for her. Beatrice truly deserved her happy ever after. With all the scorn she endured as a result of her fathers drunken foolishness. And Lord Greaves idea of the perfect match just serves to show that sometimes what we think we want is definitely not what we need. I await to see what Rose has in store for us next.

I enjoyed reading this final book in the Spinster’s Guild series.
Although I guessed the conclusion of the story long before it was revealed, it was still a very good read.
I loved the lead characters of Lady Beatrice and Lord Greaves as well as the secondary characters of Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham who also appear in the previous stories in the series. I felt I was a part of the story.
I would recommend this story to all my fellow Regency Romance readers. It is a short and enjoyable read. Rose Pearson weaves an excellent story.

What a wonderful story! Two beautiful love stories come together in one. I have loved the Spinster’s Guild series from the very beginning, and this final book doesn’t disappoint. Lots of adventure, twists and turns and sweet romance. The book is well written like all of Rose Pearson’s novels, with a story that keeps your attention from beginning to end, and wonderful, engaging characters. I loved the slowly developing love story between Lady Beatrice and Lord Greaves, and cheered for Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham finally getting married. Such a lovely, happily ever after ending for all. I so enjoyed reading the Spinster’s Guild series, and I’m sad that the series has ended, but what a finale!
Totally Enjoyable and Quick Read! Another great story from Rose Pearson!
Just finished reading A Lord Undone (The Spinsters Guild Book 5) by Rose Pearson . This is the last of the Spinster Guild series in which four ladies who are on the verge of becoming spinsters seek the aid of a wise Regency widow to find love, romance, and husbands. In this story, Beatrice is socially hurt by a scandal of her father’s making.. She meets and falls for a kindly Lord who has some family issues of his own. As with all the spinster stories, this is a heartwarming, , charming, and clean Regency tale. This one has not one but two happy endings. Read the book to find out more.
Rose really knows how to end a series. This is the story of Lady Beatrice. After her father, during a drunken card game , spouts that she could be illegitimate., her life is in shambles. Enter once again Lady Smithton. The Earl if Greaves, Frederick, decides his bride must have specific requirements, he never realized it could be the lady who shows up in his carriage crying. After he gives her basically the cut at a ball, Beatrice is still willing to help him when he fears his brother is in danger. The characters are extremely well written and the plot is fantastic. This story has deceit, suspense, and so much more that you’ll want to finish it in one sitting. Absolutely loved it. Wish the series wasn’t ending.

Frederick, the Earl of Greaves has to get his brother out of a mess. Lady Thompson is desperate to find a husband because her dad ruined her reputation. What’s a Lady to do but ask for help from Lady Smithton to help her get out of this mess. She’s gotten herself in tangled in a sticky situation that Frederick now has to get involved more in her life than he was meaning too. Such a great romantic book and makes me want to read he first in the series.

The last in the delightful Spinsters Guild series finds our Lady Smithton find a husband for Lady Beatrice Thornton. Gossip has followed poor Lady Beatrice after her drunken father starts rumors over her parentage. Sobbing and upset, she finds herself accidentally in the wrong carriage, belonging to Frederick, the Earl of Greaves, who has no choice but to see her home. Although he is not so favorably impressed at their first meeting they are again thrown together when Beatrice finds a note in a book meant for him regarding his brother’s abduction. They all come together to help find him. A sweet romance

I found it interesting that Lord Frederick Greaves found fault with Lady Beatrice because she was too emotional when that’s exactly how he was over his missing brother and the threatening notes he received about him. I didn’t like Frederick at first. He expected perfection from his servants and his potential future wife and he was rude to Beatrice because he found her lacking. There was the mystery and suspense of trying to discover what happened to his brother before it was too late, but I had feeling from the beginning about that. It was nice to see Lady Smithton with her own romance after she helped all her girls in The Spinsters Guild in this conclusion to the series.
I have enjoyed The Spinsters Guild series since book #1. This is the final book in the series, and it is just as good as the rest. Sweet, clean, happily ever after.
The author creates believable characters that grow and develop throughout the story.
I took off one star because of a few grammatical and typographical errors and one instance when a character was called by the wrong name. Otherwise, very well written and quite enjoyable.

This was a great end to the Spinsters Guild. I loved how the series and this book was drawn together. Great writing and the plot was also great.

She upended his perceptions and changed his life.
All of the members of the exclusive Spinster’s Guild are happily married, except one, Lady Beatrice. Sadly, after suffering odd stares, and certainly after what she just overheard, she may never find a love match, even with Lady Smithton’s help.
Even though he won’t admit it, it is very possible that the Earl of Greaves’ exacting standards have prevented Frederick from finding his perfect bride. Still, he has plenty of time to fulfill his obligations to his title. There’s no real hurry.
I must assume from the smile-worthy ending of A Lord Undone that this story is the last in The Spinster’s Guild series by Rose Pearson. It certainly was an entertaining one. As with all of Ms. Pearson’s books, this one is very clean, with a wholesome plot and with interesting characters. I liked Frederick, even while his true self was hidden under all his “uptightness.” I also liked Beatrice, even her sweet but timid self. In the end, they both discovered their true personalities and their future together.
Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.
