Sometimes even Christmas miracles need a little help… salvage her Christmas.
Spencer is too consumed with turning his family’s failing business around to be concerned with Christmas or his sister’s best friend. When Annie’s arrival adds to the growing rift with his father, he finds it difficult to welcome her. With his troubles mounting and difficult decisions ahead, will he let Annie help him to see what is truly important?
Armed only with a risky plan and a little Christmas magic, Annie must prove to Spencer that the things we love are worth fighting for.
Spruce Valley Sweet Romance: Book One

What could be better than staying at an inn in Vermont during the Christmas season? Well, Annie would tell you that she wished her parents weren’t away at a dentist conference. And she wished that her best friend, Mary, wasn’t on a cruise with her boyfriend. She would also say that going to Mary’s parents home/inn wasn’t such a great idea after meeting Mary’s infuriating brother, Spencer, who makes it quite clear that Annie being there just gives him something else that he has to do…someone else he has to entertain. So, what happens now?
This sweet, small town contemporary romance is about cherishing relationships with friends and family, new and old. Finding our own way but also compromising with others along the way. Katie Carver does an excellent job writing this story from both of the protagonist’s POVs. I absolutely loved this book and finished it with a smile! You will end up loving this sweet town and it’s unique characters so much, you will be booking your trip to Vermont in no time.
This book is a sweet, clean romance appropriate for teens and older.
I have received this book from the publisher/author free of charge with no expectation of a positive review.

A Loan for Christmas by Katie Carver
First time reading this author and can’t wait to read more. Story moves right along and starts out with
Mary and she’s telling her friend at work about her cruise for holidays with her boyfriend. Problem is Annie’s parents won’t even be home so she decides to visit with Mary’s family at the VT tree farm instead.
The family welcomes her lovingly and she helps with some chores that highlight her expertise at work. Problem is the boss didn’t get the memo that she’s not to work at all…
She gets along ok with Mary’s brother, Spencer but sometimes not, he just rubs her the wrong way. She soon learns of the money problems the farm is having and pitches in her ideas to the women and they put on a fair for the town to participate in to bring more business to the area.
Part I love the best is the trees themselves-knowing the difference between the fir and a spruce. Dad and grandpa ran a nursery so I know a fair bit about it all from the wholesale side was great fun learning from personal side of things.
Love wildflower acre my mom also spread her flowers around outside! Love hearing all about this town and how ti will play a part in the next books in the series although you should be able to read them as stand alones.
Like all the things I learned in this book and the characters. Just a handful and easy to keep track of them.
Love this book for simple story and love learning about others jobs and how to do them.
