In a family full of powerful witches, Frankie Vallerand is the black sheep. He doesn’t care about honing his magic. All he wants is to open up a restaurant and spend his days serving up delicious food. But when he sees a customer crying and wishes for her to be happy, he inadvertently transforms his old wooden soup spoon into a wand, and realizes that maybe a little bit of kitchen magic is just … just what his customers need.
Addison Allbright is The Phantom Foodie, an anonymous food critic notorious for his scathing reviews. For most people, being paid to eat would be a dream job. Not for Addison. He doesn’t care for overpriced designer food. He’s a tea and toast kind of guy. Until both the food and the owner of Cucina Capri sweep him off his feet and throw his neat, orderly life completely off-kilter.
Frankie isn’t sure how to tell Addison he’s a witch, or that he charmed Addison’s food the night they first met, without sounding totally crazy. But little does he know that Addison has secrets too. Not only did he snark Frankie’s restaurant in his last review column, he’s also engaged to be married…to a woman.

This Is one of those books that have so much feelings inside that trapped me since the beginning. The author used words in such skillful manner that you can feel the love between Frankie and Addison, you can smell the places and taste the food that is a big part of the story. Even if there is some angst that made me cried a little, this magical love story was simply so sweet that enlighten my day!
This was a blast!!
This was so fun to read. I love Frankie. Sweet and funny and a little bit klutzy, he balances perfectly with Addison. Their moms though…yeah we don’t need to get into all that. I’d love to know more about Dom and what about poor Jean. Seems there is a lot more to learn.
This was a sweet, charming, fun read. I loved the low angst of it. Frankie dreams of opening his own restaurant and Addison is the critic who surprisingly likes his food. They have a connection. communication is key but they both have secrets. Loved it!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
A little Bite of Magic by MJ O’Shea is the first book in the Little Magic series. It is a contemporary MM romance with a little paranormal magic thrown in. I had such a fun time reading this story. The characters are fantastic- likeable and interesting. The story is sweet and entertaining. I laughed, I swooned, I loved it all!
I was able to read an advanced copy of this title and am reviewing voluntarily and honestly my own thoughts, opinion and reactions based on that copy.
Frankie is the black sheep of his powerful magical family. He has only been able to manage magic in the kitchen. He moves to CA and decides to open up a new restaurant. Addison is a food critic who has never really liked food. He is also living a big lie. He isn’t happy but thinks that it is just too much trouble to stop his mother and supposed fiance. Once he meets the owner of the little restaurant that he is supposed to pan, all bets are off! These two have instant chemistry. This is a fun little book with just a touch of magic. I did get aggravated at the families on both sides. People tend to forget that the life isn’t theirs to lead and that just maybe they should leave folks alone. This was a good book and I did enjoy it. It takes the idea of a kitchen witch to a whole new level! I read an arc of this book and would gladly read it again!
This was such an adorable romance between witch Frankie, and human, Addison. You couldn’t help but fall in love with Frankie and all of his accidental magic. This short story was a perfect before bed read and send you to sleep with magical dreams.
If you want something light and funny with great characters, here you go. I loved Frankie. He’s sweet, charming (literally) and cracks me up. Poor Addie has allowed himself to be badgered into a life where he doesn’t exist. Nothing more than a puppet to other people’s whims. Once he meets Frankie it all falls into place. He becomes a whole new man; self confident, kind and loving. There is only the smallest amount of angst and a terrific HEA.
