Twenty-four-year-old Ariel Turner has spent her life working alongside her brothers on her father’s ranch in Wyoming. How will Jesse’s past failures follow him and put in danger his new life and happiness?
Sparks fly when the lady rancher meets the businessman. They go about the property operations, side by side as business partners, while secretly, they each long for something more from the other than a good work ethic. Will they find a way to solve their differences, when clouds appear on the horizon or the rain will destroy everything? Is a single mistake enough to break them apart?

A Liberating Love To Set Her Free is another historical western by Carol Colyer. This story is about how people interact within a marriage situation, within a family situation, and within a business situation. Jesse meets Ariel and falls in love. They immediately marry. Ariel knew how to run a ranch which was unusual for a young woman. Her desire in life was to have a ranch of her own to run. Jesse knew business. Instead of working together to become a thriving ranch, Jesse makes a business deal behind Ariel’s back after she told him it would not be in the ranch’s best interest. So now Ariel runs back to Mama’s. When Jesse gets a lesson on marriage by Aunt Sue and his father Earl he gets Ariel back. But, Jesse didn’t know how to talk like a businessman, husband, or family member. When he is put in his place by the cook after he spoke rudely to her, and Aunt Sue let’s him know he needs to learn to accept life changes and he needed to talk to people in such a way as the occasion warranted, he then had to finally learn how to talk to Ariel as his wife and partner not as his hired hand. When they learned how to interact in such a way, they began to prosper and their love grew along with their family and ranch.
Ariel Turner is one of the best ranch hands that her father has. When she goes to dinner at her friend and neighbor Sue’s place she meets Sue’s nephew Jesse Flynn. Jesse up to this point has had several failed business endeavors and now finds himself stuck on his Uncle and Aunt’s ranch for 3 months until he can inherit it and do as he pleases with it. Jesse plans to sell until a little help from Ariel and the land starts changing his mind. Sweet historical romance set in Wyoming.
I enjoyed this story. The story is well written, but the plot becomes shaky at times, but the author manages to pull out of it. I love Ariel, but I really on the fence at first as Jesse being the hero in this story. Jesse starts to actually grow up and realize that it takes hard work to become successful. It seems like his past is just a bunch of excuses for his failures. He never really put any hard work in to make a business a success. Ariel teaches him how to be a hard worker and see the success the ranch could be, if only he didn’t have that debt hanging over his head.
Ariel wanted to run her own ranch her whole life and loved working alongside her brothers at her families ranch. Jesse was a failed businessman from Boston when he inherits his uncles ranch and moves to Wyoming he doesn’t see the potential for a new start until he meets Ariel I loved the flawed characters! Despite their different backgrounds they come together to help one another in spiritual, emotional and physical ways. It did get boring when Jesse and Ariel we’re constantly making the same mistakes and not trusting in the love they had for each other! There was some spelling and grammar errors but not enough to affect the story. This was a good western romance book with a HEA for everyone
Carol Colyer has once again given us wonderful characters. Jesse and Ariel have a problem communicating with each other. Both react to what they think the other is thinking. This story has several twists and turns that come together to keep us guessing whether their marriage will survive. Be sure and read the extended epilogue.
This is the story of Jesse & Ariel as the main characters. There are many others characters in this book. Jesse is from the city. He inherited a ranch from his uncle. He was always looking for approval from his father in whatever business ventures he did. Ariel is a rancher’s daughter who works her father’s ranch, which is unusual for a woman. Jesse goes to Wyoming with every intention of selling the ranch for a debt he owes. Ariel’s family is their neighbor. That’s how they meet. This story has a lot of twists and turns, mostly of which come from inside Jesse’s head, but some from the person he owes his debt to. It has a great story line to it. It is a good read for Western story readers.
The storyline was wonderfully written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each and every page I felt like Ariel and Jesse jumped from the pages which made this book a very enjoyable read!
