In this penultimate installment of The Afótama Legacy, a prodigal son returns, an adopted daughter goes missing, and an ancient witch grows restless. The community of Norseton has been in a state of disorder since the young princess Tess was kidnapped more than two decades ago. Her return to the long-secluded tribe of psychics should have marked a return to the tranquility they knew in their first … their first centuries in America, but there’s still work to be done. She needs her older brothers’ help to root out traitors and track the mastermind behind the plot to unravel the community.
One brother chases a mate who’s vanished under mysterious circumstances. The other is embroiled in a testy trio with the daughter of the man who tops Norseton’s public enemy list and the fairy who’s only ever seen him at his worst. Can the Dahl men be the emissaries the Afótama need when the heightened urgency for them to secure their mates distracts them from their missions?
And as the fount of their wild magic, Ótama, takes a more hands-on approach to community threats, will the peaceable culture of the clan change as they all know it?

Righting Old Wrongs
What can I say about this book I can’t say that it was better than I expected because I’ve not ever been disappointed in this particular series. This book was so much more.
I love the fact that the story was centered around Jody, Lora, Mallory, Keith and Asher. don’t get me wrong there was a host of other characters in this book to help fill out the storyline. But those named were your leads and I just want to say wow I read this story every chance I got so I can find out what was happening with the family.
These characters have been around for a long time in this series so you’ve always had a sense of who they were or what they would become and maybe I’m going to say there were a few surprises. The other has done such a great job with this book I really do appreciate the fact that she took the time to tie up storylines and to fulfill the promise made in previous books to keep the reader fully engaged and enjoying the ride throughout the different series that tied all in together. When I start at the Heartbreak Hotel series I never expected to get as much enjoyment out of this set of books when it took you into the Afotama Legacy is much as I did.
If you have been a reader from the beginning this book will do this series Justice and if you were just starting out and you’ve headed missed a few I do recommend that you go back and read all the books just to get a sense of who everyone was or is how they came to be how they went a way how they came back to truly enjoy this last book.
I know for myself I think I might have missed one or two and I’m going to go back and find them so I can get their backstory.
This is another series under my belt by Holly Trent that I’ve enjoyed from beginning to end and if you’re new to her world I suggest you pick up the books and enjoy the ride.
I wish I had been able to read the others before this one especially since this one was a winner. I have read this author before with this one being one stumbled across. The story itself with the help of the characters will pull you in. So many roads to follow with suspense and drama to pave them. This world is full of paranormal delights or more like fantasy that takes you on a heightened adventure. As I go in this for sure I probably would of gotten it to a higher degree if started at beginning.
