I enjoyed reading this quick story. I liked the main characters Daisy and Blake. Although they had experienced painful pasts with people who were to care for them, they managed to be open and honest with each other. Would they be able to learn from the past and fall in love? A very sweet story.
I always know when I read one of Tammy Andresen’s books it will be full of wonderful main & secondary characters that you fall in love with & find yourself living their story right along with them. Her plots are fun, humorous with hunky heroes & lively ladies with a guaranteed HEA. This story had a bad guy, endearing siblings & a few twists to keep you turning the pages.
Her two sisters have married, and Lady Daisy Morningstar wants the same for herself & she has decided Lord Price is the one for her. They met three years ago and now he was coming to their home in Scotland – he is perfect, or is he?
Laird Blake Abbot has come to do business with Daisy’s brother-in-law, he wants to improve his sheep business by shipping wool to get a better price and be a better laird than his father thought he could be. He is introduced to everyone and can’t take his eyes off of Daisy but she only has eyes for the newly arrived Lord Price – until Blake’s horse is spooked by a horse and pushes Daisy in a mud puddle, ruining her reunion with Lord Price.
She thinks she is in love with Price, he doesn’t want to get involved with another lady since his last betrothal ended badly – could they both be wrong? A kiss will decide the truth!
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
The final book in this mini-series involves Daisy, the third Morningstar sister, and Blake, a laird whom she meets when he pays a visit to her brother-in-law to inquire about a shipping deal. The story was good, but fast-paced. I’d have liked a few more chapters to see Daisy and Blake’s romance blossom over more than just a couple days. All in all, a pretty good end to the series.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
She was looking for the perfect man. Well, she had already found him but circumstances had parted them for several years, but she knew he was coming for her now. Well at least coming to see her brother in law, but it seems fate, or an anxious horse stepped in landed her in a puddle. Oh, not just any puddle but one the handsome Scot, Laird Blake Abbot pulled her out of… Can I just say Oh my?
Lady Daisy Morningstar lives with her sister and brother in law, who had several men arrive to discuss business. One was Lord Price, who Daisy had thought was her perfect match, but then Blake steps in.
Blake has met women like Daisy, or what her first impression is on him. He’d been hurt in the past and was being cautious, but sometimes the sparks are just too much!
A wonderful story with two engaging characters that I absolutely loved. Of course this is by Tammy Andresen, so how could it not be? She is amazing..
A Laird To Remember is book four of The Brides Of Scotland Series by Tammy Andresen. This is a short story that can be a stand alone.
The youngest Morningstar, Lady Daisy, is a strong, feisty, mischievous girl who wants a love like her sisters have. She thinks she knows the perfect candidate. She met Lord Price three years ago before her life took a bad turn. They had a connection. Or did they? Lord Price is on his way to meet with her brother in law and she just knows it’s a cover for really seeing her. The day he is to arrive is finally here but nothing turns out quite the way she imagined it would.
Enter Laird Blake Abbot. Blake has arrived to meet with Colin to set up a business deal to help his clan. Little did he know there would be a mouse, a spooked horse or a mud puddle involved in introductions. Not a great first impression to Daisy. Blake doesn’t want an adventurous woman. He certainly wouldn’t want to make a mistake choosing a wife. He wants to prove he can be a good Laird.
As Blake and Daisy get to know each other, they realize they have much more in common then they thought. Which path will they take. Is Lord Price the right man for Daisy or is a Laird the one for her?
This was a witty, romantic, entertaining and heartwarming ending to the series.
I received this book as an ARC and this is my voluntary review.
A Laird to Remember is the fourth and last book in the Brides of Scotland series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but reading the entire series is better. The book is short and fast-paced making it easy to read in one sitting. The characters are charming, and the story seems to flow smoothly.
Lady Daisy Morningstar is ready to find a husband. Her two older sisters have married, and she is certain her time has come. She had met Lord Price in London at a dinner party before her father had passed and her life changed significantly. He is coming to her brother in laws estate in Scotland to discuss business, but Daisy is sure that’s just his cover to come to see her.
Laird Blake Abbot is trying to prove to his dead father that he could be a good laird. He is visiting Daisy’s brother-in-law’s estate to talk about a business adventure and is drawn to Daisy but is afraid she is just like another woman who hurt him in the past. He was there on business, but Daisy kept distracting him. Can they let go of the past and find a way to a happy ever after?
The entire series has been interesting and I’m sorry to see the last book come, but this author has some great books coming.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The unforgettable Laird Blake Abbot is determined to be an exceptional Laird, better than his father ever expected. He doesn’t have time for a relationship. Daisy Morningstar always thought she would be the first of her sisters to marry but to her chagrin she hasn’t met the right man yet or has she? This was a fun, romantic read that pulled me in from the start.
A Laird To Remember is a wonderful historical romance. This is a quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Daisy is the last unmarried Morningstar sister. When she learns the man she had a crush on 3 years ago is coming to meet with her brother-in-law about a contract she’s excited. Blake is trying his best to improve his clan even though his father thought he’d be a failure as laird. Blake and Daisy’s story is loaded with drama, humor, accidents and action. I enjoyed reading A Laird To Remember. This is book 4 of the Brides of Scotland Series but can be read as a standalone. A Laird To Remember is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Blurb :
She’s picked the perfect husband…
Lady Daisy Morningstar knows exactly who she wants, Lord Price. The problem? A burly laird goes out of his way to ruin her reunion with Price. She should hate the Scot. He’s strong and willful and forever inserting himself in her business. But he’s also… well frankly he’s simply… unforgettable.
He’s trying to prove himself…
Laird Blake Abbot was never his father’s first choice to take over the lairdship but he’s in the position now and determined to do better than anyone ever gave him credit for. Except for a little blonde minx keeps dancing into his thoughts and stealing his concentration. He should forget her entirely and continue with his life.
One kiss will change everything…
But as the sparks fly between them, they might both be forced to admit that they’d both picked the wrong path. Can they change course now or are they doomed to just be a memory?
My review :
Will she be able to recognize whom is her fated mate …
Finally the last in this series, I was not sure to like Daisy, I thought her a bit vain as she is talked as being the beauty of the three siblings. Yet she is also the stronger one as she was the one the fight for her sister.
When her sisters married men they instantly recognized as their soul mate, with her artichoke heart, she falls in and out of love every day.
So why did she developed an obsession for a man met only one time years ago, she sketched him as the perfect hero, but it looks like reality will come crash it. Will he be like her father or cousin, discarding her as she brings nothing.
If only the burly highlander showing before the love of her life would get out of her way.
I laughed at the “reunion scene”.
Blake is there to help his clan, and he is determined to not stray, his wild days are behind.
He was burned one time, twice won&5 do.
If only the beautiful girl he meets at the side of his future associate would look at him. But she looks like to have her sight sets on someone else.
Up to him to show her, it is him her future.
It is a cute fast paced short story delivered by Mrs Tammy Andresen, I am not just very fond of insta love, I do prefer when sentiments develop over a bit more time than a few hours.
3.75 round up to 4 stars.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.

A Laird to Remember – Brides of Scotland #4 – Tammy Andresen
This is the last book in the Brides of Scotland series and for me I think possibly the best. Not to take away from the other three books, but this book is about Lady Daisy Morningstar. Our bold, vivid, wild sister, who seems to have been the backbone for the three Morningstar sisters, yet there is something about Daisy that is not what one would expect.
Daisy latches on to people, places, the idea of what a husband can give her, yet she has actually never taken that step towards building a relationship with one man. It’s not for lack of introductions, there were introductions in London, but with them being forced out of their home when they were there was not much chance for any of the sisters let alone Daisy to actually catch a mans eye and see what the future might hold. In Scotland, her sisters have tried to introduce her to potential husbands, but again, she might like them or the way they dance but she is not ready to commit to anything.
Until she hears of Lord Price visiting with Colin (Rose’s husband) and a man who had done the unthinkable, danced with her twice in one evening and paid attention to her. It was shortly after that evening that the ladies had to escape their family home and Lord Price was never seen again. So Daisy, made sure she wore her hair right, and the colour and style of her dress showed off the best of her assets because who knew maybe Lord Price had found out where they had moved to and maybe he was coming for her.
Oh Daisy, building dreams from clouds and hope, but she could try to attract his attention couldn’t she? Of course on the morning of Lord Price’s arrival there was also another Laird arriving, Laird Blake Abbott. He was hoping to make a business deal with Colin and the other gentlemen who were meeting to get their goods to England. Where each could sell their goods at much better prices than they were getting in Scotland.
Rose, Daisy and Colin were waiting outside for all their guests to arrive. Laird Abbott was the first one and the carriage with the others was close behind him. The four of them were enjoying an introduction chat and that was when it all went out the window, well at least Daisy thought so in those few moments that ended up turning her life upside down. It was all due to a mouse, a horse and a mud puddle!
From there Tammy Andresen shows us who the real Daisy is and why she tends to attach herself and then walk away to almost every situation. Between Daisy and Blake we learn that on the outside we see one thing but on the inside there is the true person and that person might just be a little bit broken but would never let the outside world see that. They both need to take that step to move beyond the past into a future that can make each of them secure.
It’s not a story with an element of danger, it is a story of the past and how it can haunt a person, in a sense that one the outside you play one character while on the inside you are different and hurt and unsure of ever being able to take that step to move on with someone who you can trust with your past and with your future. Lessons to be learned, potential love to be earned and Daisy who through all the past 2 books has given us reason to laugh and smile at her daring deeds and ways!
Reading the Brides of Scotland series has been enjoyable. Each book is a quick and enjoyable read.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Sometimes the perfect life you thought you wanted for yourself is far from perfect when it comes to what you need.
Daisy Morningstar, pretty, willful and positive she knows who she wants to marry. Laird Blake Abbot, big burly, the kind of man who takes up all the oxygen in a room, determined to do better than anyone expects of him. Together they may discover that the heart knows best.
Yes, Tammy Andresen has another quirky, romantic tale to share with an ending that will leave you smiling. A LAIRD TO REMEMBER is cute, quick and fun with just enough spice to sass things up! The best part? I am never disappointed in what this author delivers!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tammy Andresen! This is my honest and voluntary review.
My Rating: 4.5 Stars
Of the three sisters, Daisy Morningstar is the most mischievous, outspoken, daring, and feisty. Yet, like her sisters, she wishes to have a husband and home of her own. With the news that her old flame, Lord Price, is on his way to discuss business with her brother-in-law, Daisy readies herself to make a fine impression on the English Lord. Unfortunately, disaster intervenes and Daisy finds herself in the arms of Scottish Laird Blake Abbot instead. Blake has had his fill of adventurous ladies and whilst he is intrigued by Daisy, he is also wary about making yet another mistake to weigh him down. However, as he gets to know and understand Daisy’s responses, he finds that they are more alike than he would have thought. Blake discovers that the thought of marrying Daisy is a pleasing one, but persuading Daisy is another matter altogether. This well-written novelette is witty, romantic and heartwarming, bringing to a conclusion the Brides of Scotland series. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Lady Daisy Morningstar knows exactly who she wants, Lord Price afterall there was a connection between them when they met three years ago. Now he’s visiting her brother in law. Except for a little blonde minx keeps dancing into his thoughts and stealing his concentration.
This is the final novella in the series & brings the series to a delightful close. Daisy is the sister who often falls in & out of love but has never felt this way about anyone before. Blake was hurt once before. However sparks fly from their first meeting when a mouse causes Blake’s horse to spook & Daisy lands in a very muddy puddle. A charming, page turning read that I read in a sitting. The characters have depth & are likeable, the pace is very good & I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Short but so Sweet!! A Laird to Remember by Tammy Andresen is book 4 in the Brides of Scotland series and I am so loving this series. Who doesn’t love a brawny Scot as the hero. The sisters in this series are strong women but Daisy is the strongest of them all or is she? I was able to read this book in one sitting and sometime I do really like to read a quick book. Though in a series this can be read as a standalone. Tammy is truly one of the best authors today. This heart warming story has rescue, a sister’s love, kindness, never feeling like you can be good enough, an accident with a horse, injury, proactiveness, a fortune hunter and one true love. If I had one thing negative to say about this book is that it was too short and I was sad it was over all too soon but I do highly recommend it or any of Tammy Andresen books.
